The Life Application Study Bible is my favorite of all the Bibles I've owned. My hardcover NIV copy is falling apart, held together by clear packing tape. I recently downloaded the NKJV on my Kindle. I love the study notes. They not only help me apply God's word to my everyday life, but give a better understanding of it.

I love the New King James Version. It's my favorite translation. It is basically the King James Version without all the "thees" "thous" etc. I have a thing for staying true to the original text as possible. Of course I can't read Greek or Hebrew so this is the best I can do.

This is my first study Bible and I love it. It took me an entire year to read through my old NKJV Bible and I loved digging deeper with this one. I love the study notes below the text and the brief descriptions of each chapter and biography of Bible characters throughout. I loved reading what was happening in the world at the time each chapter was written, and by whom it was written.

I don't think I've highlighted, underlined, or wrote so much in my life while reading through it. I have several composition notebooks filled with notes I took from this study Bible. If you want to dig deeper into the Word of God, this is the Bible for you!

God Bless, and happy studying :D

How exciting to finish reading the Bible through again and to complete it on my birthday. God’s word is life changing. I can not even believe the growth in my life that I have had by prioritizing the time with the Lord each morning. I love Him more today than ever before.

I use the Life Application Study Bible (LAB) quite often in my research and preparation for writing, and I've used it for years. I love the individual book introductions and theme information I find valuable. The general commentary information provided by the LAB is good, however, I would choose other studies for more detailed information, especially concerning doctrinal studies. Generally LAB commentary information presented is influenced by denominational beliefs, as evidenced by their lack of a true description of faith. They simply lack a lot of information about faith and what it entails. Sometimes they minimize historical Christianity and the views of the AD first century church doctrine. None-the-less, I find the LAB a useful study tool and it's the first study Bible I pick up. But, I use it carefully understanding that any commentary is the writer's opinion and not necessarily always Scriptural. It should be used by a Biblically grounded Christian.

I had the privilege of owning this Bible back in the 2002. It was given to me as a gift. I had the NIV translation. I learned so much from that Bible. I enjoyed the time I had it. I owned it for 15 years until it got destroyed in 2017 due to Hurricane Irma. I can't wait to replace it. I currently have the "Know The Word" Study bible, which is pretty good. However, I am a Life Application Bible Girl. I have recommended this Bible to so many people. I have also purchased it in the past as gifts for others. This was my first Study Bible. Hands down it is my favorite of all time. I look forward to getting a new one for my Birthday God's willing.

The best version I have ever read or studied. I have read several different versions of the Bible over the years and this is the most eye opening of any previously read. It does exactly as the title describes, it shows the reader in simple terms how to apply the scripture to every day life. I really like the New King James translation because it is conservative in its writing by being what I believe to be more in line with what God wants from us, His children. Great, great, great Bible for anyone wanting to know God and follow His commands. By the way, did I say how Great the Life Application Study Bible NKJV is?

I wish I would have had this Bible many, many years ago. The NKJV is easy to read (compared to the KJV Bible), but does not sacrifice the meaning of the original text, in my opinion. The poetic flow is retained, which makes it a real pleasure to read.
The "Life Application" study notes and references to other scripture really help make this my "go to" Bible.
I have since purchased GLO Bible (for iPad) version of the John MacArther study bible, which is also very good - I cant yet say if the study notes are any better, though - The Life Application Study Bible notes really hit home, right where I am.

very good for people who don't really "GET" the bible. I'm really enjoying the timelines and footnotes that explain every little detail.

Excellent Bible. New King James is my favorite translation, and this study Bible has a lot of helpful notes that shed light on the context and meaning of some of the more difficult passages.
