A high maintenance city girl. A rough around the edges cowboy. Sparks will fly…but will opposites really attract?

Eva's determined to plan her best friend's dream wedding…even if it is at a lodge in the mountains. More familiar with limos than horses, Eva's going to need some help. But pulling off the perfect wedding isn't going to be easy, especially with Jeff, the all too handsome cowboy determined to get in her way.

It's way too easy to push the city girl's buttons, and Jeff's enjoying every minute of it. The sparks that keep flying between them are definitely keeping things interesting and there's no way either of them can deny the attraction between them.

But Eva’s sworn off men and even if she did allow herself to act on the feelings that keep growing stronger, there’s the small matter of her ‘fake date’ to deal with.
Opposites will definitely attract, but only if they can get out of their own way long enough to see what they could have—together.

This book is on the verge of making it onto my did not finish shelf. Eva is a spoiled brat who acts like the world owes her everything. Jeff was an extremely likeable guy in the first two books, and to have him paired with Eva makes me sad because he shouldn't even be contemplating being with someone like the bitch that Eva is.

Then there's Andi. She was a mostly likeable character in the first book of this series, but now she's a simpering idiot.

Then there's the miracle of modern medicine happening. Eva slips and the lodge doctor apparently has x-ray vision, because he's (she's?) able to tell it isn't a break or fracture without an x-ray. Nope, nope, nope. Not possible (unless the doctor is Superman, I suppose it is...).

Now fast forward a little. Another pet peeve of mine is injuries of convenience -- shoved into the story as a plot point, then forgotten when they really matter. So Eva's wrist is damaged enough that she can't dress or put on makeup without pain, yet she can ride a horse and have sex with not even a smidgen of discomfort? Please. It just doesn't work that way.

Oh, and one last thing to leave you with... what kind of bride wants an outdoor wedding, in January, at altitude, IN THE ROCKIES, and on top of that comes in RIDING A FUCKING HORSE, while wearing her fitted wedding dress WITH A DAMN CORSET ON? Um... I can't even with this one. I just can't even. (a sleigh I could accept, but this? puh-lease.)

I'm still liking this series. Which is good because I already own all the books. I will admit thought that this one is my least favorite so far. Eva wasn't bad but she also wasn't my favorite. Part of the problem was that she is bad as picking men. Thankfully she met Jeff and that all changed. I was happy for them in the end.

I was looking forward to Jeff's HEA but this story was terrible and completely superficial. Yes Jeff and Eva were attracted to each other and find each other hot (as we read repetitively). But they never even had one date to talk; we learned more about Jeff's background in Bo & Morgan's story (Hidden Gifts) then we did in this one and learned nothing about Eva except she's a control freak & who fell off a horse as a child. Extremely disappointing book.

As with any book in this series, it's ending was incomplete and fell flat. Not the best way to end a story.

Too much conversation in their own heads and not enough between the characters. Almost trying to convince the reader that the characters belonged together.

I'm going to keep my review short because that's about all the patience I have for this story, for this collection, for this author at this point. I'm getting really overworked in the run up to Christmas this year and this book might have just driven me over my breaking point. In this one, we follow Eva as she helps her normally calm and collected best friend who is now a frazzled mess plan her wedding. It was insulting to me as a reader how much this author expected me to miss as I was reading the story. It was blatantly obvious what was wrong with the bride from the first page we see her. Why does it take over 100 pages for it to actually get spoken aloud? And why drop such heavy hints if you expect me to be too stupid to connect the dots at any point in this stupid story? I wanted to like Eva and Jeff's romance but it was impossible. Every other second they would see the other person in a situation where it looks like they might already have a significant other. And yet instead of discussing it like two rational adults they just avoid, avoid, avoid. I know this was published in 2013, but I remember what I was reading a decade ago and the romances were never THIS bad. I think the setting is still amazing and it makes sense that this author tried to capitalize on the setting she created by publishing 9 books in this series. But I just can't buy into her romances anymore.

A high maintenance city girl Eva runs on passion for her work. A rough around the edges cowboy Jeff who can do anything for his friends. Both met at lodge for common motive that wedding of Colin and Andi goes well.

Because, he doesn't want anything goes wrong at the wedding by his side , at first he doesn't allow horses at the wedding. But conversation with Eva and her try to convincing him to let the policy go for this time.

The sparks that keep flying between them are definitely keeping things interesting and there's no way either of them can deny the attraction between them. But then she lied after taking Troy to be his date even though few knows it's a fake arrangement to keep Jeff at bay and Jeff has his career rise moments when Hollywood director came to him with job and Marina have something for Jeff but Cupid make a move
Eva and Jeff fall for each other , but only if they can get out of their own way long enough to see what they could have together as couple

Good continuation of the series

I liked this one because I liked both Eva and Jeff from the previous stories. This one wasn't as special to me as book 2 was, but that might be because Ella only had a small role! There are so many misconceptions going on, it was a little more than I wanted. At times you wanted to shake them and tell them to just talk to each other. The story is a little shorter, too. There is still a lively pace, but the tone was much more uncertain than the previous stories. The character oriented storyline has no real steamy scenes and realistic characters. This was a good continuation of the series. If you haven't read this series yet, I would suggest looking for the box set of #1to 3 for the best deal.

I really enjoyed Eva and Jeff's story in this charming little series. It's definitely got a bit of opposites attract feel to it, and the heat is off the charts.

I also loved getting to check back in on previous characters and see how their relationships are faring. I especially enjoyed seeing Ella again!

I do feel like there is more going on with Jeff's job offer and the way that lady left the lodge, but come to find out there is another book in this series! I thought it was just a trilogy. So, I'm looking forward to finding that other book to read and see if there are more answers there.

I hadn't read Elena Aitken before this series, but I do enjoy her writing and think I will be reading more of her in the future!

Eva a city girl comes to the Lodge to organize her bfs wedding. When she has a run in with swoony cowboy Jeff Sparks fly even though it's insta attraction

This is a perfect enemies to lovers, cutie romance with all the snow and winter vibes set in the month of January. Breathtaking scenery, the author describes a perfect winter wonderland.
Like the other two books before this one, it's a sweet, clean romance novella.
Aitken's characters are fun, witty and charming and Eva is extremely likeable.
I've literally fallen in love with the series and looking forward to reading the rest of the Castle Lodge books.

This book is about brings Eva Andrews and Jeff Michaels together. It also centers around the marriage of Colin and Andi's wedding. And Andi's a mess. She is crying and things are just not going well for her. Turns out she's pregnant. Also, we continue with Bo and Morgan and Little Ella. I just love Ella and her affinity for horses. There are so many heartwarming parts to this book. It is my intention read the rest in this series. Each book is a stand alone; but at the same time builds on each book before. I can't put them down.

“Mistaken Gifts(A Castle Mountain Lodge Romance Book 3)”

This was an incredible book! Starting with the Lodge, then the characters and the scenery. The characters, two women, one a bride to be, a couple of men and a little girl made this book. And the scenery, just wow! The forest with its Holly, the mountain, and everything around it,made this book special.
It’s really hard to say what is the best part,as there were so many! I can only say,I would read it or it’s sequel anytime! It really is THAT good.So please,do yourself a favor and read this, you’ll be glad you did!

Flat characters, boring plot and lacking any real interaction between the couple getting married or even the main couple . No background about Jeff and Eva. of a decent ending

No I would not recommend this to anyone ! Boring flat characters no development of a plot and a terrible non ending.

Third of the series I know there are more but this will be the last one for me. Not a bad book just not enough story for me and you know in the first 5 minutes exactly what will happen. Nice people, nice story happy ending and there is nothing wrong with that but sometimes you need more and you just don't get it with these books.

This was a cute story about Eva trying to make sure her best friend's wedding goes off without a hitch. Eva meets Jeff at the stables and realizes they have chemistry, but thinks it won't work cause he lives at the Lodge. Jeff was trying to be such a good guy and almost messed everything up.

A complicated romance, that starts off more as adversaries, but ends up with happy feelings.
I don't want to give the tale away, but we have meet both Jeff, Bo's horse friend and Eva, Andi's business partner, in "Party Hearty".

Loving a Horse Guy

Eva is catering Andi's wedding and falling hard for Jeff, the Lodge's horse guy. A lot of love, misunderstanding, and explanations are required before these two realize they're meant for each other.

This story follows Eva and Jeff and their budding romance. Filled with typical will they/won't they plot twist, this was a cute story with a happy ending.
