Gwen Farris: Book one "Abominations" And Gwen Farris: Book two "Monsters" Book three: "Strangers and Lies" About this book:
Ask yourself this, what would you do if you woke up one day tied to a mystical alter, about to be sacrificed by insane cultists?
More, what would you do if the ceremonial dagger plunged into your heart, you felt all life drain away into utter nothingness... and you survived?
When it happens to Gwen Farris, she knows what to do without a doubt. Find the would be killers and stop them, before they can do it again. Stabbing a girl in the heart can be taken a little personally after all.
The only problem is that she finds herself in a different world, one of industrial magic and steampunk style, a place both more polite, and unimaginably harsh, than the one she left behind.
Thanks to her new friend, Constabulary Detective Bethany Westmorland, Gwen just might be able to make it in this strange place she'd never even dreamed could exist.
But it will take everything she can bring to play, and more, before it's done.
P.S. Power works in fiction, mainly focusing on Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror genres, with brief forays into other things just to keep life interesting. He averages 1 to 2 books monthly and has several series going. He lives in an isolated cabin in the middle of nowhere, as a recluse, yet still manages to find time to talk to people online, in a positive and delightful manner. Not one of those creepy hermit types though, you understand. It's more of an isolated farm style thing. Or ranch really. He's also interested in three dimensional photography, and long moonlit walks on the beach, sometimes with vampires. When he can find time he also does writing and voice work for scripted online programs. Anyway, feel free to drop him a line. Or visit his forum: http://pspowerbooks.com/phpBBF/index.php
In chatting with Dale over the past few weeks, it was decided that he was interested in blogging to you, his readers. The blog he had within the main site was not going to be a viable solution and there were thoughts of just creating a Forum where only he could post and everyone else could reply. This MOD is a nice meeting of the two for what will hopefully be a highly successful blog!
Hoping this first (and only) post by me will kick off a nice method of interaction with Dale's readers!

I enjoyed the story. The characters and world created were interesting and kept my interest. I enjoy stories where the main character is brought to a different world.
Some of the actions of the main character and the reactions of the supporting cast sometimes stretched credibility, but not enough to ruin the narrative.
I felt a little let down by the ending, but am willing to continue to the next book in the series to continue the story.
Congratulations to P.S. Powers for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such an interesting and exciting author who not only writes intelligently but also provides top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
This book was well written, with only a few grammatical errors. The transitions are very well done. The author keeps you interested in turning the pages. This would have been a 5 star rated book, if not for the grammatical errors. I look forward to reading more from this author.
The character (Gwen) is so openly a very empathic and such a badass at the same time. Her life up until the forced body switch was very hard and very lonely. Life teaches us many things, the one that comes to mind as relating to this book is: Never Give Up!
I have to admit that the first time I read the synopsis I wasn't that enthused about this book. I mainly read it as I liked several of the author's other works and, to top it off, it was only $0.99. I am so very glad I took the chance. I was drawn in quickly to the story and the characters held me in rapt attention through the entire book. Now, this is one of my, if not 'the', all-time favorite stories. So far I've read this book at least 7 times (along with book 2, Monsters) and can't wait for book 3 to come out.
My advice is to just buy the book and read it. If it's not free then it's likely just $0.99.
Excellent read. Quickly jumps into the action. Strong characters, with a fast paced and interesting story. The heroine, Gwen, wakes on a slab about to become a sacrifice. Turns out she has been transported to another world, a steam punk world. She is saved but then has to find her way in the new world. She partners with a woman constable to find the people responsible. The author has built an interesting world with great descriptions of daily life. There is a deeper thought provoking story interwoven without being on a soap box. Highly recommended. Good writing and editing.
I totally enjoyed the characters, the action, the dialogue and the story premise. body stealers, a world powered b y crystals , magic and psychic power....a transfer to an alternate earth during a human sacrifice...surviving your own murder, adapting to a strange new world....Gwen takes it all in stride in Katherine' s healthy, attractive body even feeling sorry for Katherine trapped in Gwen' s deformed, misshapen body on an earth without magic.
I had a good time reading this book, It was a good alternate reality story. The alternate culture and world was done very well. The familiar things still were different enough to make it a good read. I am already into the second book and I like the way the series is going. I have read several of the authors other series and Gwen like his other main characters is very likable!
I really liked the premise of the book. I found it quite interesting how the world is different from our reality. I think the book is like a mix of steampunk and fantasy and reality. It is quite good.
This book is another wonderful adventure. The characters are developed and grow with each passing page. The greatest wonder is the time in to many of the other series Power has written. What a mind.
