First chapter is entirely in the hero's head with maybe two sentences spoken between him and a ranch hand. This kind of trend continued on throughout the story where you got synopsis of conversations that I frankly thought were important. Time was flown over very quickly. I never felt anything for any of the characters. The story did not draw me out and make me care and I wanted to care. I wanted to drool over a Hawaiian rancher. But I just didn't because he wasn't interesting. The first 50% of the book the hero and heroine only have one meeting up and conversation. I know that they already had a history of knowing each other, but it just never felt like it meshed out very well. The grammar is correctly done and the tone was fine, the story just never got around to grabbing me in and making me not want to stop turning pages to see actual human interaction. Sorry. It just wasn't something I enjoyed.

Reads like an odd duck. Most of the story is in the heads of the characters, and there’s very little dialogue and interaction going on. Which means it’s impossible to connect with the characters. Because of this lack of interaction between the characters, a lot of key moments leave you feeling indifferent.

Usually I complain about too much dialogue and never being able to get under the characters’ skin. This time it’s too much in their heads, which takes you too deeply under their skin. It ought to have been a good thing, but the one thing that would have worked well here, is a balance of the two. That would have connected the readers to the characters on a whole different level.

The story is too one sided, making for a very dull read, and it made me want to flounce several times. But being OCD about reading, flouncing is difficult, so I ended up skimming through huge chunks of it just in order to read the whole thing.

This book is part of a series I haven’t read, and after this book, I have no interest in reading it either. I have a few other books by this author, and I’m hoping they’ll give me a different experience to this book.

I received this book as an e-galley from Harlequin via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

This book was definitely a steamy one! However, I had problems with the lack of character development, plot and that it seemed rushed. I haven't read the previous books and maybe that's to my disadvantage. I may be missing out on key elements. I would've liked to know more about the Ranch, Key and Sonia.

To Have A Wilde is part of the Wilde In Wyoming series, but it is set in the Kealoha Ranch in Hana, Big Island. That's in Hawaii, which is, the last I checked, in the Pacific Ocean instead of in any of Wyoming's lakes. Still, there is a link to the previous books in the series, thanks to a randy sperm fertilizing an egg of a woman that wasn't married to the man whose pee-pee it came from. That is not a spoiler, by the way, since the name of the series itself gave it away.

Meet Keanu "Key" Kealoha. He and his twin brother Nick run the family ranch with Alekanekelo, who turns out not to be their father after all. His late mother conveniently left behind a pile of letters chronicling her thing with another dude, so the two brothers now have proof that a sperm had wiggled into where it didn't belong. You know, if I hate my kids, I'm so going to write fake letters chronicling my love affair with a well-endowed velociraptor, borrowing parts from the current bestselling dinosaur romances, for them to find and get all emo over.

Anyway, daddy woes aside, the two brothers are currently the hottest things on reality TV after they allowed themselves and the ranch to be the subject of a reality TV show. Key - note to self: stop rolling eyes when mentioning his nickname - wants to use the show to promote the foundation build in his late mother's name and espouse green messages that PETA would approve ("Go hump a happy horse today!"). Therefore, the show is all tasteful and edifying despite the man candy, so we shouldn't confuse the whole thing with Jersey Shore.

In this story, producer Sonia Brandon is about to learn that all those "lei'd in Hawaii" jokes have a ring of truth to them as Key aims his thirty-inch cylinder of sex appeal right at her.

When these two finally get down to dancing all night to the best song ever, the heat level of this story rises above that of a typical Kimani story. However, to get there, I have to sit through dull and occasionally fragmented sentences after sentences depicting non-stop mental lusting and lust-engorged aching body parts. The weird thing here is that these two don't actually interact with each other much. They indulge in far more mental lusting, to the point that these two may as well just stand there and stare at one another as they drool and think naughty thoughts.

When they are not thinking about how hot the other person is, they are thinking about the same handful of things over and over and over. Seriously, the level of repetition here is pretty impressive. Every time a slice of information is brought up, it'd be repeated at least three times, often within the next dozen pages. When these two characters do remember to actually do something, they interact with secondary characters in filler scenes that rarely move the story in any way.

It is only late in the story that the silly conflicts pile on. It is as if the author realized that she had only a dozen or so pages to go and went, "Oh snap, I need to make these people argue over something or people would accuse my story of being a sleeping pill!" Yes, it's that banal "I immediately make snap judgments about what a scheming hussy you are!" thing, but it's okay - Key literally shags his way into her good graces again. One Direction is wrong - it's not the song that is the best ever, it's the pee-pee. It goes oh-oh-oh, it goes yeah-yeah-yeah, and yes, he can take her home with him.

Sonia can have him. I know you know I know that I will never remember this story after a few days.

Synopsis: Hawaii has a brand-new cowboy bachelor
No one knows the truth about Keanu Kealoha's family history, and he intends to keep it that way. But Keanu's world explodes when the reclusive rancher allows a visiting production company to film his life. Suddenly he and his twin brother are TV's hottest new bachelors. However, Keanu's celebrity could end as quickly as it began if he gives in to his desire for Sonia Brandon, the show's sophisticated and sexy producer.
As the force behind reality television's latest hit, Sonia knows the sky's the limit. But her attraction to the Hawaiian bachelor could jeopardize everything…especially when Keanu's shocking secret is aired before millions of viewers. With her feelings growing, Sonia is determined to prove that she didn't betray him. But can the reality of their blossoming relationship overcome the secrets of the past?

Review: In the latest installment of the Wilde series we meet one of the Kealoha twins, Keanu or as his friends call him Key. Key has an instant attraction to Sonia and uses that attraction to find out if Sonia is aware of family secret Key uncovered while reading his deceased mother’s diary. Sonia is determined to prove to Key that her feelings are sincere and a product of trying to get his family to sign on for a second season of the reality show. Will these two realize their love is strong and learn to trust each other? Readers will need to read and determine if they succeed.

While this was my first time reading a book in this series, I find there are discrepancies with the synopsis and the plot. The shocking secret was never aired before millions of viewers however, Key was trying to determine if Sonia was aware of the secret and he did use the instant attraction to uncover it. The book started out flowing well however, there were times when the transition between scenes were cloudy and readers will wonder what occurred. The writer did a decent job developing the characters and the setting went well with the plot of the story. This was an ok read.

This book tells the story of Key, one of the Kealoha’s twin and Sonia, the producer of their reality show. The first season of the reality show featuring Kealoha twin and their Hawaiian ranch has been successful and now, Sonia is back in the ranch. Key has been attracted to her and so is Sonia. But neither of them makes it known to each other. Key took the matter in his hand and asked Sonia out for a dinner and things seem to progress from thereon. Things have been progress smoothly until one day, Key get to know that there is discrepancy in the contract signed and he thought that Sonia betrayed him. Sonia is devastated by Key’s accusation and decided to leave him and the ranch.

I read about the reviews posted earlier by other readers and though I do agree on the slow progress the story developed. I only managed to get into the story during the second half of the book. The first half of the book concentrated more on the main character’s thought of each other. Nevertheless, I like the story despite all the flaw in the first half of the story. This is a sweet story between two people who failed to recognize their feeling for each other and i like the dramatic ending of the book. I can feel the anguish feelings that both Key and Sonia felt when Sonia left Key after the accusation.

Got to Chapter Six and then gave up. There was something about the writing that bugged me. There were shifts in time that I found confusing (maybe because I wasn't fully engaged in the characters/plot?) and there was a lot of mental lusting flying around. By Chapter Six, especially in a category romance, I expect the main couple to be spending quite a bit of time together, and that wasn't really happening outside of said mental lusting.

Also, this is the fourth book in a series, so I wasn't really invested in the hero's baggage. If you're already hooked on this series, or have a thing for plots that feature reality TV, this may work better for you. It didn't inspire outright hate in me - I was just bored with it. Too many books in the immediate TBR - so moving on

This was a sweet romance about one of twin brothers, who harbors a secret. He is involved in a reality show and his love interest is the producer. Spark fly with this one. It looks to be the beginning of a series (tho it stands alone well), and hopefully the story of his twin is next. The lead couple were well drawn, engaging characters. A Hawaiian hero is a welcome change. The romance moved along quite nicely and the secrets revelation came about in a timely and well thought out manner. I found the story pleasant, the romance entertaining and the dialogue witty. All in all, I would recommend this book and look forward to more.

This was my first book of both Kimberly Kaye Terry's and the Wilde in Wyoming series that I have read. What enjoyed about this book was that it was an easy read and flowed perfectly. I also enjoyed the fact that when this story starts there's already some tension between the characters (Key and Sonia) as they've already met and gotten underneath each other's skin.

You can really tell that Terry did her research on the Hawaiian culture. To Have a Wilde is a story of about learning to take a chance on love, forgiveness and knowing who your true enemies are. I absolutely loved reading Key and Sonia's story and look forward to reading the rest of the Wilde in Wyoming series as well. Kimberly Kaye Terry has definitely been added to the list of my new favorite authors.

It took me a minute to actually start this book because I was reading others at the same time, but this book and this series is HOTT! I loved the companionship and friendship between Sonia and Keanu (Key). Even through misunderstandings, love prevailed.

Without trust we have nothing, but when you find yourself in the spot light who do you trust and believe? Sexy Hawaiian twin Keanu Kealoha is having to deal with just this. Wanting to protect his family he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders while throwing away happiness.

Oh My Gosh.... This book really took some time and focus for me to get through. For some reason it took a really long time to get interesting. Once it became interesting it turned out to be a good read like all the other stories in the Wilde series.

I stopped reading this 4th book at chapter 4, because the storyline & characters were boring & didn't hold my interest. I think the other 3 books in this series had a better beginning.
