Hmm this volume was so so. The small stories were nice but the main one starts to annoy me. I'm giving the next volume a try and if things continue to have no progress at all on the relationship level then I'm giving up.
This volume could be called “how to hide the truth from my boyfriend because apparently I like creating trouble for nothing rather than share the truth/how I feel”. Moreover, dear Aoi, your bf is trash, “your friends” are trash, you deserve better, trust me girl!
I’m surprised by how popular this manga was in France back in the days since it’s really bad. I don’t understand the appeal.
Well I was happy with the ending of this one. I'm glad that Shuusei told Oono/Haru (whichever is her first name) that he was in love with Aoi, though the fact they still don't seem all that comfortable with each other is doing my head in a bit now.
Umm...well...that was unexpected. I was hesitant to pick up this series and didn't have high expectations for it.. but I started it this afternoon and binged the first 11 volumes in just 6 hours! I can't stop reading it! Thank goodness the first 11 volumes were included with Comixology Unlimited...that means I only have to buy the last 6...because you bet I bought them and will finish reading the series tomorrow. I wouldn't say it's a new favorite...but I am having a blast reading it and I am addicted to this story. Typical high school romance drama...but I am so invested in these characters.
I really waffle on what to rate this because I really don't like when a series drags on for too long, but I don't think this one has gotten there yet (just saw that there are 24 volumes - this story better stay fresh). However, things did bother me about this volume most especially the communication issues between the main couple/ AND we also see blackmail and manipulation - that's not a way to help your friend. Seriously.
Chapter 41 - kaede’s a bitch. Idc if her friend has a crush on the main lead as well she can’t just go into other people’s home and search thru it. And why is aoi taking it? Just tell her to get tf out Chapter 42 - asking aioi to not tell Haru that she’s going out with her crush is too weird? Like why does aioi have to watch Haru dangling over shuusei, trying to flirt with him when she’s the girlfriend. Aioi please grow a ball already learn to say no sometimes
What is Kaede’s problem??? Girl, mind your own business!!!! And I’m not going to hate on Aoi for being desperate or insecure. She’s a teenager and didn’t have a lot of friends growing up. She just wanted to keep Haru as her friend (and it doesn’t help that Kaede was blackmailing her) so she kept her mouth shut. I just hope Aoi will gain some confidence in these remaining volumes..
I like this very silly series enough to read multiple volumes available in English in three days. While the premise can be absurd and it often is overly exaggerated, it’s funny and the main two characters are interesting.
Kaede is a bitch but Aoi needs to get her shit together. Screaming like that is ridiculously immature, it seemed like a step backwards for her character. She should’ve had confidence in her relationship and just said “sure, tell him how you feel, it’s ok.” so her friend could have closure.
Maji kono heroine ga naguritai no. =.= Donna baka made natte iku no kai yo? Moreover, this story is so dragging that I want to drop it. That's why from vol 1 till 11, it's 3 stars. Too many unnecessary conflicts and dramas and sooooooooooooo annoying at several points. It seems the problem has never stopped rolling.
3.5/5 It took such a long time to finish this manga, but I finally made it. It is kinda getting boring, Aoi is still struggling because she can't express her feelings. I'm not sure if I'm going to start the next volume or not. The story was quite monotone and it wasn't that catchy for me.
