This book was a minuscule part of my Spanish learning experience. Just another notch in the post of apps, websites, other books, podcasts CDs etc.

It was ok. Fairly basic introduction too the grammar really. No complaints but didn't really bring me that much higher up the language learning mountain.

One thing I didn't like was the constant reference to the author's students. I'm your student now... stop talking about those other guys and talk to me please. I appreciate what she was trying to do there, but there was something a bit annoying about it.

I gave this book two stars because I didn't feel it met the description. It also wasn't as comprehensive as I thought it would be. I did find the explanations of how the language works helpful but there were some areas I thought the author could have explained and didn't. A good read -- just not quite up to the description.
