”I have gone through a number of books like this one, and most of them are pretty much the same. This is the one you want… Personally, I will check out any book this author writes about apps because, for some reason, maybe a bad case of OCD, he is obviously compelled to do the most thorough investigation into each and every aspect, good and bad of apps in a particular genre. My hat's off to him, and he has my thanks for saving me a ton of time and grief.” - Linda Abbott (Reviewer)A Note from the My aspiration was to make this book the very best resource of its kind. To that end, I put a great deal of time and effort into researching and writing it. I really hope you’ll find it useful!PLEASE This book is an abridged version of my magnum opus (nearly 800 pages long!): The Complete Free Kindle Fire Apps . (Also, some of the contents of this book may be found in one or another of my other books, too.) If you think you might be interested in more than just the best free Kindle Fire apps for kids, you might want to consider checking out my magnum opus first.

Thorough rating system

The author does an excellent job of explaining how the rating system of works for each app. Most of the apps are either games, apps for kids, or news. Disappointing though is beyond those categories some only had 2 or 3 apps reviews. But this research takes the guesswork out of searching all the games you can play, and being able to see the pros and cons, stats here. This was a much better read than another in the series, although all the apps located here are the same, so I didn't get any new information.

It's a repeat of the other book

This is a repeat of the first book in this series; the apps mentioned are simply laid out in a different order than the original book. Disappointing, especially because (as mentioned in my review of the original book) a good portion of the apps mentioned are no longer available. This book should be pulled from circulation!

Great for the kindle newbie!

An informative must have for your kindle fire. I am also new to Android and it helped me decide which apps were necessary. There are so many apps to choose from that I was a little overwhelmed at first. But this book made my choices much easier. It was also great to tap a link and download from Amazon. I highly recommend for a kindle new user.

Good Starter Book of Apps for Kindle

I found this book very useful as a general starting source of apps that are available for use with the Kindle Fire HDX tablet. It covers all manner of applications such as technical, games, and those of a more general nature. It's perfect for new users of tablets.

A helpful read for those of us that love our Kindle

I found a couple of Kindle apps that I'm excited about. I like the detailed, yet simple, review format. Many of the apps are games and/or for kids, none of which I'm personally interested in. Even so, since the book is so well organized, it was a simple matter of skipping those particular apps.

Demasiadamente orientado para utilizadores nos EUA

De interesse pouco relevante, esquece em grande parte inúmeras aplicações de enorme utilidade mais generalizada, bem como inclui excessiva cobertura sobre jogos.

Best app reference guide so far that I've found

I love how this program is set up with detailed descriptions and ratings. It saves a great deal of trial and error guesswork for choosing apps that suit your purpose or need.

Great information

I am not technology savvy, but I do like to research before downloading items. This author has done all the 'footwork' for Kindle Fire owners...and made it easy to understand...along with the links for download. Well done!

So I'm lazy and cheap...

and this guy seems to know what he's talking about; I will give some of these apps a shot (since all it will cost me is some time)

Not much

Not much here but games. If you like 300 and most are for children. Look for productivity apps. Have Fun.

Better!

This was a good book considering the one I just rated, but this super long list actually gave me a lot of good apps. I would definitely recommend this one.
