A great short read! A sexy cowboy named Logan Chisholm, a famous pop star named Blythe or JJ, and a murder! A real page turner! I loved how Logan and Blythe found each other and fell in love even though danger always surrounded them.

ery good book. I liked Blythe a lot. She seemed to know exactly what she wanted, and was able to go after it. Even though she had panicked at the beginning of the story, after that she was able to keep her head and think her way through things. Logan was immediately attracted to her when he saw her that first night. When she ended up on the back of his motorcycle, racing away from trouble, he wasn't sure what to think. As they found out more about what happened, he felt more and more protective of Blythe. There was a lot going on in this book, with seeing the other band members and what they were doing, and also Emma and the ongoing story there. The story felt a little disjointed at times, but I had no problem following it. I'm looking forward to the last story in the set and the resolution of the mystery.

A dead body, a woman who speeds away from a high-end resort and hopes on the back of Logan Chisholm's Harley, asking him to take her away. So begins this fifth in the Chisholm Cattle Company series. It takes a while before Logan learns that his erstwhile rider back home is a former pop star. But is she really a former one? And, more importantly, what was her role in the murder of man at the resort? Then there's the dead woman who everyone thinks is her when her rental car crashes and burns miles from where she parked it before hopping on Logan's Harley?

Things get even more complicated (and add to the number of dead bodies) before the last page. But what is now clear is that Emma, Hoyt's fourth wife, is still in danger. From the new housekeeper/cook that Hoyt hires? The last book in the series may have the answer.

What a cliffhanger of an ending! I enjoyed this story and loved how the mystery of Aggie Wells and the murderer after Hoyt and Emma is progressing. Each story about the Chisholm men is good, but knowing the ongoing mystery about who's killing off Hoyt's wives will be resolved in books six is building. This is a true series: you must read the books in order to understand the plot

This series just keeps getting better and better. JD continues to bring her characters to life. Every book just gets more into the lives of each character. She continues the story and suspense of each member while adding more suspense. So glad I discovered this amazing author. She provides entertainment and suspense on every page.

Well I must say this book in the series is a disappointment. Considering the 1st 4 books were really good. JJ and Logan’s story lacks drama and suspense. Emma and Hoyt are still living in fear, and the murderer has just entered their home as the new housekeeper and cook. Hopefully the last book will be better than this one.

Pretty good

I enjoyed this story. I only wished that all the girls or future daughter-in-laws in the previous books had some presence or life in the sequels. No weddings, no news—no stories. They seem to have disappeared. Emma’s story keeps chugging a long though.

Worst of the series. No chemistry between the 2 main characters. Sex scene (note- not “love”scene) awkward and can’t believe first time was a pull off the road and run into the weeds on their way to dinner with the fam! Will try one more just to see the “mystery” solved.

Classic Girl in Danger Tropr

The story continues the series. Again, a young woman in danger with a cowboy to save her. A bit weak on characterization.

She doesn't really want his protection, but she'll take it, while she's falling in love with Logan.

An okay way to pass an afternoon. I wasn't taken with the "series" stuff, so I skipped it, and I prefer mysteries to have some mystery to it (rather than a pat little set of likely suspects, with the real killer being exactly who it looked like, throughout), but I enjoyed the spontaneous vibe to the book, and I liked the two main characters well enough. Sadly, we don't get to know Logan all that well (case in point: I just finished the book, but had to look up his name just now to type it), but he's decent and attractive.

While I liked JJ well enough, she didn't ring true for me; we get absolutely no sense that she is connected to music at all, despite being successful at it for ten years. Aside from dancing a little at the beginning, she seems to have no interest in, passion for, or inclinations towards music, which makes her feel like a cypher to me. I mean, she doesn't even hum at any point in the book. I know she hated her career, because of her manager, but one would think she would feel something for the subject on a personal level.

In Daniel's romantic suspense novel, Logan Chisholm thinks he's in for a wild ride when a mysterious woman jumps on the back of his Harley. Jennifer "JJ" James is more than he ever bargained for because the attractive pop star is running from something in her past. JJ's defenses are up and while on one side, she doesn't want anything from this cowboy, Logan knows that as long as a killer is hunting her, she needs his protection. This duo is a challenge and full of surprises. An excellent addition to the Chisholm Cattle Company series, and one that I couldn't put down until the very last page.

Didn't really care for this book. First of all, the supposed romance between JJ/Blythe and Logan was superficial to the story. As a fan of passion and erotic romance, I thought their relationship development was weak. The author focused more on the murder mystery aspect of the story, and even this, I found unsatisfactory. There were too many characters and a sub-plot which had absolutely nothing to do with the main characters or main murder mystery. The "who" in "who-dunnit" also made no sense to me whatsoever; I had my mind on a couple other characters as the suspects.

Blythe James, aka JJ, is a singing star who has acquired a stalker. She has been receiving death threats for months and has gone to her manager to try to get out of contract with him. She finds him dead and panics. Blythe runs for her life. Her savior is Logan Chisolm. He is owns one of the richest cattle ranches in Montana and now he owns her heart.

I love this series, I love the author, but this book didn't grab me like the others. JJ wasn't my kind of woman, but the continuing story with Holt and Emma (now that I give 5 stars). Not my favorite match of all the brothers, but man, I didn't see that ending coming!

Still can't wait to read the next one.

All I can say is wow. I cannot wait until the next book! The ending leaves you hanging but in a good way! The story between Logan and Blythe was ok. He is definitely dreamy and it seems like Blythe had a head on her shoulders which is nice but the story between Emma and Hoyt defiantly stole the story line. I can't wait to read more!!

Light entertainment. The reader gets no real sense of danger and suspense, even with several murders and the threat of more.

There were a lot of twists and turns in this installment, in both the story involving JJ and Logan and Emma and Holt. Did not see the ending coming.
