The final results may range from a king-sized bedcover to a beanbag, but the paths from each idea to each completed item follow approximately the same steps, and once you've mastered the methods, the door lies open to a whole new appreciation of and involvement with fabric. When you discover for yourself what effects stitching, filling, and piecing can create, you'll look at everything through new eyes. It's true - almost anything can be made or decorated using these techniques.

In the Glossary Patchwork is described as “Designs formed by small pieces of material sewn together, usually in the form of a square.” The quilt is “The finished product, or the process of sewing the layers of a quilt together using small, even stitches in a decorative design.”
A very 70's peek into quilting. Basic projects, and yes, all very 70's. I do like the Tree Nap Quilt project, which is a small quilt that looks just like a tree - who wouldn't want to take a nap on that? And the Ote-dama bags are pretty cool. Other than that, be prepared to see some pretty awful patchwork ties, bags, and even a hand painted and quilted vest!
