The vampire world is a dangerous place at the best of times, but especially so during a war. Though there is one safe place left.

‘Dead Fang Hotel’

But it’s not a sanctuary for all its residents.

For Bree it is nothing but a prison. A prison in which to hide from her enemies and the horrors of her dark past. She hates the place and after being carted back there after yet another attempt at escape decides that she has had enough of her constant captivity. Things have to change. The biggest change comes in the form of a tall, dark, sexy as hell vampire assassin.

Gabriel

But as the two grow ever closer she begins to worry that her past may cost her even more pain than it already has.

I mean who could love a Fangless vampire.

'Fangless' is a great, quick read with a truly unique spin on the vampire world that 'sucked' me in from the beginning. The dynamics between the heroine and hero were refreshing to read and the whole book really was brill!

Dead Fang Hotel is where Bree the fangless vampire is confined to, Gabriel, a vampire assassin, stops by the hotel and him and Bree start to form a friendship. But with all of Bree's lies and secrets, is she too dangerous for him?

I really enjoyed Bree's character, even though she was a bit of a cow sometimes, she was so refreshing as a heroine as it is usually the hero in vampire fiction that is broken and dangerous. It was great reading from Bree's POV and I think we found out why she became fangless, but it wasn't confirmed in the book! I thought it was great that she truly knew who she was, she knew she was a monster and she dealt with it. Gabriel was a great hero and he was written so well but he didn't take anything away from Bree, which is almost non-existent in romances these days as the hero tends to be a bit over-bearing to the reader. He was bad-ass, but so sweet and lovely towards Bree.

I feel like Bree and Gabriel's relationship could have been given a bit more depth to but I'm so glad that this is a series as I know that it will definitely be explored more in the other books, well hopefully.

I loved the dialogue in this book, it was written really well and pushed the plot along greatly, but I guess that's me and my preference for dialogue-heavy rather than description-heavy. There were quite a lot of editing mistakes but they can easily be overlooked and you shouldn't let that stop you from enjoying the novel to its fullest! The dual POVs were great and they swapped at the perfect times although sometimes I felt Bree and Gabriel's 'voices' were quite similar.

All in all, a really great novel, with a unique and exciting premise that I thoroughly enjoyed. I shall definitely be reading the next book in the series!

Overall I enjoyed this book; it was a quick, fun, guilty pleasure type of read. I liked the originality of the story, I have never encountered a book about a fangless vampire before. I liked the interactions and chemistry between Bree and Gabriel, the main characters. They kept me interested and I enjoyed that they were both a nice mix of humour and seriousness. I felt that there was a lot of creativity in the development of the story and characters, both the major and minor ones. I knew this was a series when I began reading it, and after finishing this first installment I was pulled into the Fangless world and wanted to see what happened next. I'm not a huge romance novel reader; a lot of times I just find them too silly or cheesy or the characters just too boring, generic,or unlikable. I can say this story had all the right elements to interest me. No it isn't Shakespeare or the next great novel but no one would read it with those expectations. It is a light, quick, fun read that never takes itself too seriously. Bree could be a little much at times with the constant anger and destruction of everything in her path, but as the story progesses you can see why she behaves this way. Gabriel is a very likable male lead character; he's not a stalker or some creepy perv like a lot of male romance leads seem to be. The biggest criticism I have for this book would be the editing. There are a lot of misspellings, weird comma usage, and both run on sentences and sentence fragments. That being said though, at no point did this irritate me enough to stop my enjoyment. Things were a little dialogue heavy at times; maybe more showing of things through the character's POV and less telling would help. I have started the second book and the editing and sentence structure has improved somewhat. I'm interested to see what adventures are in store for Bree and Gabriel next .

This is a truly creative idea and great world author E.M. Reders has envisioned; I really liked Bree as a kick-butt, scarred character, and Gabriel was a strong supporter without being overbearing. Unfortunately, there were a tremendous amount of grammar errors and spelling typos, most noticeably possessive apostrophes missing (Drakes instead of Drake's) that distracted me and threw me out of the story.

Bree is a fangless vampire. This doesn't make her any less dangerous; if anything, she fights harder than any of her fellow vampire brethren to survive and is willing to make some alliances with some sinister figures in order to get revenge. I liked the idea of a "fangless" vampire--can't recall coming across it in paranormal/urban fantasy offerings before--and I also appreciated that Bree is unapologetic in her viciousness. Sure, she has moments of guilt and regret that make her relatable, but overall, she knows she's a monster and doesn't apologize for who she is. Decisive heroine? Yes, please! Gabriel was a good fit for her and is a "get-the-job-done" kind of assassin. He doesn't relish violence; he's rather a good solider type.

A lot of the story is conveyed through dialogue, and I would have liked a little more showing instead of telling--the flashbacks were good. The secondary characters seem interesting, and the plot clips along. I'd recommend a sweep through for off-putting grammatical/spelling mistakes, because there are a lot of great ideas here!

Fangless was a great idea. I like the concept of the book, a vampire with no fangs is original. It's interesting, with twists and surprises. Main characters who are pretty bad a**. It ends not with a cliff per say, but it does make you wonder what's gonna happened next. If you like paranormal books, then I suggest giving it a try.

I received this book from the author for a review...

More like 4.5 stars...

I really liked this book. It was a quick read, but really held a great story. I loved the characters. It was nice to see that Bree was not the damsel in distress, goody-two-shoes that it seems I run into over and over again with all of the books I read. She has a dark side, she admits it and embraces it...that's ok! I like the twists and turns that are worked into the book.

I will definitely continue to read on in the series!

I thought this was an enjoyable and unique story about a fangless vampire. There were several errors with grammar but those did not make the story any less enjoyable for me but the book really needs a good editor. The plot is very interesting and shows great imagination on the part of the author. I liked the book so much that I bought the next one immediately. If you can overlook the errors in grammar then I would highly recommend this book if you like vampire stories.

brilliant first book I'm not going to go into the storyline or even mention the characters. You need to read and discover it all for yourselves but I totally recommend it for anyone who enjoys being engrossed so much in a book. Good start to a series I plan to read more of Bring on the next book, I'm ready and waiting.

Fangless -E. M. Reders

Gabriel is a vampire and assassin. His new job takes him to the only place suitable for his kind, Dead Fang Hotel. His not there to socialise, his there for a reason. That is until he meets one of the residence at the strange hotel.

Bree is a powerful vampire but a fangless one. That should make her a dead vampire, but instead makes her even deadlier and sends her into fits of rage. She stays at the hotel but not by choice, she is forced to due to her deadly past. She feels weak and she has no freedom which drives her crazy. Her life has little meaning until she meets Gabriel.

He brings feelings out in her she hasn't felt for centuries, and she doesn't know how to deal with them. She messes up a few times but eventually they figure it out. But it's short lived, when he sees things she didn't want him to find out....EVER, he tells her he can't live with secrets.

Wow this was such an amazing book. This vampire story is so creative and different to others I've read, but a good different. The authors style of writing was expressive and descriptive, and the attention to detail was perfect. I loved the concept and the storyline, it was unusual and quiet captivating. The characters were not your typical straight forward vampire or shifter, but they were really interesting and likable, and I loved the fact they had this intense connection. Their were a few very clever twists which just added to the story. Ok so my only real issue with this book, is that it had bad editing. But saying that the book was still a very enjoyable and I love the cover, it definitely matches the idea I have of the book!

Liked the story. The editing, or lack thereof got on my nerves after awhile. I would recommend reading it simply because of a unique storyline. A lot of the errors tend to be a lack of capitalization on names, the letter I, and beginning of sentences. Another is misspellings, either words are improperly spelled or the wrong word is used. The last thing was a "timeline" thing. From what I gathered Bree was about 400 years-old give or take. The balls the council held were moved around, and Drake hadn't hosted one for a decade or so, how could Bree have hid the blood for centuries? Also a reference was made to her having held onto her anger for centuries, although from the plot of the book it made it seem as if had been more like decades. Just some confusion here.

Very interesting and intriguing story full of twists and very interesting main character (Bree). The plot was not letting you dawn and all the information was given very nicely.
My only problem thought was the grammar errors and some typos which some times slowed dawn my reading. It is a same really having a brilliant story which is not taken care of properly!

I cannot wait to read "Bloodless".
