Things couldn't be any stranger for 18-year-old John Magnos who is completing his last year of high school. He is stuck between two worlds, one the preppy private school he attends part of the day, and the other a public vocational school where he meets up with kids from the other part of town. Outside of school, he works for a veterinarian where he helplessly watches as dogs and cats are thrown away like trash. Pets die in his arms and puppies cry out in pain when they are cosmetically altered without anesthetic. He lives with the trauma of seeing things a teenager should not have to see. Could things get any worse before they get better? If so, why does he sit in a jail cell? Find out within the pages of this work.
