In 1990 Robert J. Thomas was sworn in as the full time mayor for the city of Westland, Michigan. He served twelve years, making him the longest serving mayor in Westland's history.
While he was mayor he wrote his first book titled, How to Run for Local Office, which has now sold over 25,000 copies worldwide.

Sins of the Father is Book 3 of the Jess Williams series of books. There is more complexity here. Up to now, things have been amazingly simple. People challenge Jess. He tells them that he does not want to be responsible for their deaths, so they should turn away. They choose to ignore him, refuse to deviate from their destiny, and he has made them regret that decision.
In this book, there is an entire town under siege and a former confidante has asked for help. Jess has been shaped by the Wild West. He has attained his specific worldview due to his interactions with the Wild West, so in order to continue to believe in his values, he must subscribe to the code he has adopted. This is a good, bordering on great, story/series.
We all know a little how Jesse Williams came to possessing his strange and soon to be famous gun. Jesse has met his ghosts and revenge for what his birth father and brother did to the family that raised Jesse. Some would say that's horrible that a son would kill his father and brother, but it's against nature,, but so is murdering and raping because those that do these horrific things are void of morals or ethics in lives. The beginning of a young man with a strange pistol who only kills the worse of the worst of mankind in the west. We will meet Sharps and Gray his long horses who follow Jesse unconditionally. Later on we'll meet Shadow, an intelligent wolf who seems to appear when the powers that be feel he needs help. This is a great western series, great plots and characters..you'll see as you continue to read about JESSE WILLIAMS adventures.

The action continues as the mystery of the modified pistol and holster lingers in the background. Read on to get the details of this continuing saga.
I love the story of the pistol and how Jess used it and how it was returned when he was done with it. Reading everything for the second time makes me enjoy the series twice as much! I read the new book as soon as it comes out, but then I just go back to the older books and read them until the next new one comes out.
Jess Williams never met his biological father and his twin brother. His two brother grew up as bad and evil as his father. Jesse found out how bad and I knew he had to kill them. What struggles he had to endure. He saved a town with good people.
Jess finally meets his biological father, helps his sheriff friend reclaim his town from a greedy rancher, and continues to hunt the worst of the worst outlaws. Readers will enjoy learning more of the history surrounding Jess' unusual gun rig.

If you like action westerns then the Jess Williams series is worth a read. This is the 3rd in the series and I know the author has written over 60 books in the collection.
This was a very good series to read I enjoyed a great deal. I will know more of Robert J. Thomas writings as read more of his works but this series was great.
A wrong made right. Little did that despicable gang of vultures know the fury they would unleash in a young man of 14 years. He'll bent on avenging the hideous butchery of his young family. Ride with Jess Williams, and share his masterful tactics as he slowly and meticulously makes puts to rest all those it throats that need killing. You will not disappointed in this story. Highly recommended.
Typical western about attempted land grab over water rights. Sub plot of Jess Williams tracking down his biological father whom he has never met.
The transcription from paperback to ebook format is absolutely horrible. It's a real shame that the company doing this work didn't pay attention to the quality of the work.
I got a couple of these westerners for my Dad for free and bought two more of the series. Now I'll go back and buy #2 and others so I have the collection. Thanks to Thomas, I am now a fan of westerners. This particular book was hard to put down. Love the characters.
Jesus Williams is the definition of loyalty. Best story of the first three books. Sad ending. Unexpected. Looking forward to see what happens next to the young Jess Williams.
I enjoyed this book so much that I have purchased 3 more of the series. The main character is great a man amongst men. Im trying to practice some restraint and read other books before I purchase the next set of 4 there are a total of 50.
Easy to read, continuation of Jess Williams saga. The last chapter has another cliff-hanger. Very good escapist western fiction. If you enjoyed the first one or two of the series you will not be disappointed in this work.
