Warning: This is not a virtuous and tender love story. It’s chaotic, ruthless, and tragic. This story takes love and kills its innocence, steals away the pure moments, and crushes the hearts of the broken. A story born in childhood, tying one girl to one boy, leads to a destructive path—that hurts more than it doesn’t, that shatters more than it heals—testing the love that binds the two through a lifetime.

Tegen Matthews is the daughter of Dorothy Kelley, a club whore in the Hell’s Horsemen. A plain little girl, Tegen falls into the gritty world of the motorcycle club. When she meets a sweet, caring boy, she embraces the warmth and affection he shows her. Cage West is the son of the president of the Hell’s Horsemen. Tall and blond with deep brown eyes, as he grows up Cage realizes the power of his dimpled smile and smooth drawl. With one chance encounter, Tegen becomes forever tied to Cage. Following is a wayward journey that is filled with regrets, mistakes, and heartache, pulling at the threads that hold them together. Cage and Tegen fight hard but love harder, and in the end, what matters is where the journey takes one girl and one boy, who have been twined with one another since the beginning.

This is Tegen and Cage’s story.

Love doesn’t erase a broken heart, and it sure doesn’t change people. But no matter how old, how flimsy, how frayed the rope of love is, it keeps you tethered to the people you love.

This is what I want in a story. The Unpredictableness that Madeline is a genius on. You think you know the Horsemen after UnD and UnB but you don't know the half of it. You think you know how the story might go but Madeline puts us in check and says, "Bitches please, you think I was gonna give it to ya easy? I'm gonna give it to ya raw, hard and non stop." And I'm left here standing to say that she does. Here's my warning. Take heed. You will be shocked. Leave your morals(again) at the door. Leave judgement to haters. If you are a true fan then keep an open mind on everyone and everything. Every action and word spoken is for the love of the club, family and the future of the Hell's Horsemen.

This series is not an easy one and it's not for everyone. There's rape, death, killing but there's also love and laughter. I've said it before. The Hell's Horsemen are not good guys only to the eyes of the ones they know and love. We get the past, present and a glimpse into the future. How will the future go? Who knows and I'm not guessing cause I'd be wrong. Again.

A little insight to the characters...

Cage. We all know him as Deuce's son and a man whore. You think you know him but you don't. Changes are coming for him whether he's ready or not.
Tegan. She's a fire breathing dragon who has huge cajones(balls). She lives in the past when the future is right in front of her.
Dirty. BE PREPARED. His story is NOT pretty. We get into his past and it's brutal and ugly. He is the way he is because of it. You have to have an open mind with him. The way he thinks will gut you. His actions will slay you. His future...
Ellie. A beautiful flower that will show her beauty to the one who needs it most.
Deuce. Got damn the man.

All the characters in the alphabet are in the story. I'm not here to tell you when and where they pop up. You will be surprised and shocked. You will feel elation and sorrow. You will just FEEL. This is what an author should do. Make a reader step out of their comfort zone, put you in another persons shoe and make you think would you do anything different.

I speak truth. This is the best one yet. I found no fault in nothing and no one. The storyline was not what I expected. The characters are not what I thought them to be. Madeline takes us into a darker side of the Hell's Horsemen but there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. You will shed happy and sad tears so have tissues in handy. Like I said in the opening paragraph, keep an open mind with everything and everyone. And if you can't, ARGO FUCK YOURSELF.

DNF at 51 %. 1 star.

 photo 3b704794-7955-451a-87ed-8f9e4c783e08_zps0c0eab16.jpg

I won't post my rant. Someone wants to bash my skull in for being so stupid and mean after all. Thank you. You know who you are.

Lol XXXXX we might have seen the same review. Most of my friends are friends with her and I just feel like bashing her skull in for being so stupid and mean for no reason.

You know I was very sure that I wouldn't touch Sheehan's books anymore after DNFing Unattainable. I have removed her upcoming books from my TBR pile. BTW, I am actually not a reader who reads an entire series only to bash an author.

Do you all honestly think that every reader can rate every book with 4 or 5 stars? I'm a very picky reader and yet I always read something that is really crappy from time to time. Also, I thought we all are entitled to our opinion.

Here we go ...

 photo goldengirlshaters_zpsa37e0597.gif

because this review is from one fucking happy reader!

When it comes to biker romance,

 photo nobody_does_it_better_zpse4d4d4ab.jpg

than Madeline Sheehan!

What sets her apart from the rest when it comes to this genre is her writing. The bar she set with her first book in this series, Undeniable, is so damn high that I kind of feel bad for those who jumped on this biker bandwagon after the fact.

IMO, Madeline Sheehan for biker romance is what Joey W. Hill for BDSM erotica and Olivia Cunnining for rock star romance and all three are

 photo fuckingawesome_zps53401740.gif

This completes my fangirling ... for now ...

Personally, I call this series "The Deuce Show" ... What can I say??

 photo i_heart_deuce_zpscf6826f6.jpg

I love that everything he does/says affects pretty much every character is this series. I love seeing him fuck up only to make it better in the end.

This book is no exception.

Even though this particular story belonged to Cage/Tegen & Dirty/Ellie, Deuce, once again, managed to steal the show [for me, anyhow]. I am not big on recapping the plot since you are about to read the book but I will say this: multiple POVs in this book was an awesome touch.

Now, this was the tamest one of the three but this book still contains subject matter that some may find offensive and to those people I'd like to say "maybe biker romance isn't for you" ... The characters in this series cheat, sometimes they lie, they often hurt and even die (well, shit ... look at me ... next thing you know, I'll be rhyming all of my reviews ...) If those are some of the things you can't live with in a book, you may want to avoid this series.

I love biker books, but no one, and I mean NO ONE knows how to write a biker book like Madeline Sheehan. Her books are in a league of their own. The story lines are amazing, her writing is phenomenal. I can’t get enough of her books!

 photo null_zpsbd28b614.jpg

Tegen and Cage... Tegen is Dorothy’s daughter. Dorothy is one of the ‘club whores’ and that is the last thing Tegen wants to be. She grew up around the club since she was eight years old. She’s seen it all. Thats not the life she wants. After everything Tegen’s seen, she is pretty pessimistic about life and love.
Love doesn’t solve a goddamn thing. Love doesn’t erase a broken heart, and it sure as fuck doesn’t change people.

Then there is Cage West. Cage is a bit of a man whore, like father like son I guess. His dad is the president of the Horseman's MC, Deuce.
Yeah. He was a whore. A man whore. He knew it; hell, everyone knew it.

Cage and Tegen started out childhood friends, but when Tegen was sixteen, one night changed everything between them. Cage West changed in Tegen's eyes. No longer was he the sweet guy always looking our for her, no longer was he her best friend. No. Now Cage West is only the asshole who broker her heart. No matter what happened between Cage, how much she hates him at times, she has loved him since she was eight years old. That much hasn’t changed. As much as she wants to deny it, she's never stopped loving him.

Tegen is in California, away from the club, well, for the most part. She’s hippyish, kind of a bitch, and speaks her mind. Cage is not your average biker. Sure, he sleeps around, but he is actually a sweet guy. I’ve been looking forward to his book since we met him in Undeniable.

Tegen comes back into town for her mom and little brother, but ends up seeing Cage. Her feelings are resurfacing.

 photo null_zps0a16f123.jpg

There was a lot of back and forth with Tegen and Cage. Tegen drove me a little crazy at times, but I understood where she was coming from. And Cage... he has all the best qualities of Deuce and few of the bad ones. I just love that boy <3 Eventually, I ended up loving Tegen and Cage together.
People didn’t need to change to suit each other. They just needed to accept their differences. You could love someone just the way they were and still live in harmony together.

 photo null_zps2ec053c7.jpg

Although this was Tegen and Cage’s story, a good part of the book was Dirty and Ellie’s. I have to say, I found myself much more invested with Dirty and Ellie. Dirty is a broken, tortured soul.
He was nothing. He was shit. He was a damaged, deranged, sick motherfucker who deserved to be put the fuck down.

He has his demons. Demons that someone like Ellie can help chase away. I knew I would love Cage, I had been looking forward to reading about Cage... but Dirty stole my heart in this book! I loved that you got two stories within this book. It just made it that much better for me.

 photo null_zps24065017.jpg

It wasn’t quite as intense or extreme as the first two books, but it still had it’s moments! Tegen and Cage were full of angst. There was lots of drama, sex, violence, drugs... I mean, what do you expect? It is a biker book! But there was a lot of sentiment in this one as well. My heart swelled while reading. Even though one of my favorite characters (Deuce) pissed me off (like he always does) he redeemed himself. And on a side note, I am even more excited for ZZ’s book. After everything that’s went down with that guy, no one deserves a happy ending more than he does!

These books aren’t for everyone, but I love the raw, gritty world that these bikers live in. I love everything about these books! This is a fantastic series! I can’t wait for the next two books to come out!

“Take one fresh and tender kiss
Add one stolen night of bliss
One girl, one boy
Some grief, some joy
Memories are made of this…”
-Dean Martin

As I was reading UnA I kept thinking to myself “Damn this bitch can write. DAMN. THIS. BITCH. CAN. WRITE.” I knew this already but with UnA her writing truly fuckin’ shines. I just want to say that I am so fuckin’ proud of her and her achievements. To see her growing into an amazing writer with each book she puts out is truly awe-inspiring. Her writing style is so unique and mind blowing that I just can’t see anyone coming close to her fuckin’ beauty and kickassery.

UnAttainable is by far the best… THE BEST …work that Madeline has created. Don’t get me wrong, her other stories are fucking amazing but UnA? Shit…it’s 500% more real. More raw. More gritty. More emotional. More unfiltered. More “yeah she fuckin’ went there”. This book is truly not for the weak ass, light hearted; wanna be bad-ass pussies out there. *If you feel like you are one, please remove your ass and go elsewhere b/c nobody has time to listen to you bitch and slam with “OMG I can’t believe she put that!” or “OMG I can’t believe she wrote that.” Or “OMG I can’t believe they have sex.”* Blah blah blah fucktardness.

UnAttainable will have your emotions going fuckin’ everywhere and will leave you with wanting more but at the same time wanting a mini break to reel your shit in. Just a mini break though because taking a long break is just plain fuckin’ silly and unacceptable.

I laughed, got fuckin’ pissed, my heart swelled, then it deflated, I cringed, was shocked to the fuckin’ core, felt proud and I fuckin’ bawled. I cried like a bitch. I cried so hard, I had snot coming out and had trouble sucking in air because my chest became too heavy with heartache and my heart just shattered. Shattered I tell ya!! I didn’t think I could go on but I did. I had too. And I am so fuckin’ glad I did.

I will warn y’all that it is much darker than UnDeniable and UnBeautifully…put together. Everything is not all rainbows and sunshine with Unicorns playing bridge on a cool sunny afternoon.

Tegen-Damn bitch you have big fuckin balls. You have more balls than all the members of the Hells Horsemen put together…and that’s saying a lot. At certain times I was like “Oh bitch you best shut the fuck up before your ass is put to ground.” Your hardness and foul mouth makes your softness and love so much more beautiful to witness and makes my heart smile with happiness.

Cage-You are a hot mother fucker. You shocked me. You are not at all who I thought you were going to be. You had to deal with a lot of shit when you were growing up and even more as an adult. You are a crazy son of a bitch and I hope that you learned your lesson about not ******* * *** ** * *******, **** ** ***’** *** ***** ** ***** ***.

Dirty-Fuck dude. You scare the shit out of me. I feel for you and love you but damn…you give me fuckin’ nightmares. And I am glad to know that you did what you did to that one person who did what they did to you. You didn’t deserve that shit…none of it. Still can’t wrap my head with the other shit you’ve done but at the same time I can. I know. Pretty fuckin’ crazy but ehh. Ending??? Melted my damn heart.

Ellie-Who knew? I want to thank you for knowing what to do to make that person less frightening…well…a little less frightening.

ZZ- One word…‘bouncin’. And shit! Why? I mean I know why you pulled it but fuck…why?!

Dorothy-It’s about fuckin’ time.

Jase-Grow some fuckin balls. If you need to learn how, go ask Tegen. She is the Queen of having balls.

Hawk-Le sigh.

Cox-Fucking riot!

Deuce-You pissed me the fuck off but as always…you’re fuckin’ smile and dimples worked their fuckin magic and I love you again. Asswipe.

Daniel-***Insert rubbing of the jaw here***

Blue-‘Oh my man I love him so, he’ll never know.’-“My Man”, Barbra Streisand

Madeline-I love and hate you. You know why. Lol. Still reeling from it and fuck…I need my fuckin’ Patron.

Until Next Time WP’s…

Happy Fuckin’ Reading

This is the tale of a girl who fell in love with a boy when they were kids. She spent her whole childhood wanting him and decided to give him her virginity after which he said "It ain't like that for me, baby." This girl was devastated and tried her hardest to quit loving that boy. This is the rest of their story.

description

Well, if you've read the prior Horsemen books you have a good idea what to expect. Tegen's a bit feistier though...and yes, even more so than Eva. It does add to the drama and there is tons of it.

The "formula" for Tegen and Cage is the same as well. They fight each other, finally get together only to have some drama tear them apart and then it's will they or won't they get back together. I enjoyed it so I can't really complain too much. I just wish there was more romance but who am I kidding?

The thing I can complain about is we don't get enough of Tegen and Cage. There's two other storylines going on as well as the ongoing back story. I almost feel like things are getting spread out too thin.

But..back to Tegen and Cage. I liked them. I liked how they were with each other...like it said, they just work. I'm glad that Cage finally got things figured out. And oh yes, naturally there is TONS of sex.

description

Now the interesting part of this book IMO was Dirty. HOLY COW is that guy messed up or what? We got a hint of it at the end of the last book but I still wasn't prepared. I think I was almost more intrigued by this story than Tegen and Cage. I guess because you just don't know what's going to happen. But again, I just wanted more of them. I haven't heard talk of a book for Dirty and Ellie and that's a little disappointing. I feel like a whole book could be devoted to his story.

And of course, there's Dorothy, Hawk and Jase...which is supposed to be the next book. We get some interesting tidbits and my thoughts are all over the place about what might happen. (I'll never come close though!)

And then there's Zz....WTH?? Could things get any crazier? And we still have another book to go before we get his so who knows what all kinds of trouble he'll get into by then. I was surprised that we didn't get Danny's POV about what happened with Cage.

Don't worry we get lots of Deuce and Eva, Ripper and Danny and even Kami and Cox and all their kids as well as most of the other Horsemen. Definitely some exciting developments and I'm looking forward to seeing how everything works out.

"From chaos, the strongest sort of love is usually born.”

description

Tough love. Raw, gritty, gut wrenching, all consuming and paralyzing. The most unbeautifully perfect love stories, take you through hell and deliver you back to other back of your soul. Where you belong.

As is life, hard and unforgiving so are people. Bastards and criminals, tormented souls and foul mouthed, bitter creatures. And these are their stories...

description

In this 3rd installment in the crude and highly addictive series, we witness the train wreck of Tegen and Cage rocky - to say the least - relationship. Fell in love young, made stupid mistakes and lost so much time and opportunity. And in the middle of all this mess?

Hell's Horsemen. The Brothers you want on your side...

description

Cage, Deuce's son and the man that will take the gavel.

description

Tegen, Dorothy's daughter, the bad tempered hippie with a chip on her shoulder and hope in the deepest and tiniest place of her heart.

description

A volatile mix that its coupling will cause heartbreak and conflict, will turn Brother against Brother, will change deep-rooted feelings and through fire everyone will emerge stronger and closer together than ever.

description

Running parallel to this story, Dirty and Ellie find haven in each other and a place to put their demons to rest.

Dirty, a hideous and mysterious Brother, a man tormented by nightmares, fighting against his past and the most abhorrent form of abuse will save Ellie a woman returning home. Arrogant and a little bit uptight, a friend and familiar face to the MC, she will realise that haven is sometimes on the other side of the law and you gotta fight tooth and nail for what you want. Together they will be safe in each other's hands.

HOLY FREAKING HELL!!!

description

Gosh... I love this woman! Madeline Sheehan, manages to deliver another heartpounding novel, about love and other disasters. Her usual chaos that I couldn't enjoy as much in this one mainly Because of Tegen and Deuce.

The girl is a MENACE! Hell she gave me a headache with her shouting all time and I couldn't even listen her... Unstable and confused she didn't warmed up to me until the end and it was a struggle reading her side of the story. This is the reason I found myself enjoying Dirty & Ellie's story more. I know I am probably in the minority here, but I found their sub-plot quieter and thus more deep and emotional. And their connection so much more beautiful...

description

Cage on the other hand is a delight to female bits everywhere. Cocky and self-assured, ex-manwhore and devoted Brother, confident in his feelings and what he wants and all more sexy when he crashes and girls... He does. HARD!

description

The other downside of this story... The one and only, we love and hate, Prez, Deuce.
Man, you are a total asshole in this story!

description

Angry and focused on all the wrong reasons, I seriously wanted to smack him... Seriously what was wrong with him??? Thank God for Eva! The woman is a breath of fresh air. The calm in the storm and the only one that makes sense in this beautiful mess. Wise as only a survivor can turn out, I fell a little bit in love with her..

Overall, a not-to-missed-novel for us die hard bikers and bitches fans.

5 FUCK-HAPPY STARS!!!

Find what you love and let it kill you.

Well, I love this book, and it killed me!!!!

I want this book to kiss me. I want this book to lick me. I want this book inside me.

NO ONE writes like Madeline Sheehan. NO ONE.

I know this book is mainly about Cage and Tegen, but I’m going to talk about Dirty and Ellie first…because they are one of my favorite book couples ever!!!!

Dirty and Ellie:

I’ve NEVER read a story like Dirty and Ellie’s story. At first, they seem like the most unlikely couple. Their paths cross and they quickly share similar fears and experiences. Dirty’s fear is….himself. He is not a good man, and he’s not exaggerating. Ellie fears that her attacker will find her again. They find disturbing solace with each other. They don’t fall in love right away. I secretly wish they had their own book so we could have known more of their story. Their story is…indescribable.

My Dirty:

bearded long hair

He was nothing. He was shit. He was a damaged, deranged, sick motherfucker who deserved to be put the fuck down. He shouldn’t have lived for as long as he had; he didn’t deserve to share the same earth with people like Ellie, people who laughed over burnt popcorn even after they’d been stripped of their dignity.

My Ellie:

Natural Hair

I’m sorry, but you’re just going to have to deal with that, the fact that I need to love you. Because I’m not going to stop, not ever. You did this, you made me love you by just being you and, all my life, everything I’ve ever wanted, I worked hard to get it, and now I want you and I want you to love me and want you to want to be loved in return.

I would not have loved this book so much if it didn’t have Dirty and Ellie’s story.

Dirty is one of the most fucked up motherfuckers I’ve ever read, and I love him.

Pain to make the pain go away.

Cage and Tegen:

Tegen has loved Cage…forever. It’s one of the most heartbreaking types of love…unrequited.

Oh unrequited love...

When shit isn’t flying out of their mouths, and they actually calm the fuck down to hold, kiss, fuck, or make love….it really is amazing. It felt like the physical equivalent to an ice cream sundae…

My Cage:

Chris Hemsworth - Cage - Unattainable

My Tegen:

dreads :3

If my past were a person, I would grab the throat of that motherfucker, drag her ass down Re-do Street, and once I’d beaten the ever-loving shit out of her, I’d stand over her beaten-down, broken body and say: “You stupid bitch. You ignorant, stupid bitch. Love isn’t a fucking answer. It hurts more than it doesn’t, it’s harder than it is easy, it takes work, guts, and perseverance.”

4 Badass Stars!!

Finally, we get to the story of Cage (Deuce’s son) and Tegen.

description

Cage West is the son of the Hell’s Horseman MC President, a hot guy that soon found out that his looks and the power of his dad granted him every woman he wanted and everything more he didn’t even asked for.
Tegen is the daughter of Dorothy, a club whore, and always hated everything that had to do with the MC world because she saw what that world did to her mother.
Well, she hates everything in that world except for one thing: Cage West.
She was always in love with him and even after a night with him that went very wrong years ago, she still can’t let go.

description

When Cage realizes that she isn’t just some random girl, well, things are gonna get rough.
And well, in MC world, when things get rough…. they do really get rough!!
In the end of the road, Tegen will just have to realize if she is willing to fully live int hat world because, there’s one main rule in biker’s world:

”You love the man. You love the life.”

description

I really liked this book. Not as much as Undeniable and definitely not as much as Unbeautifully, but it was a great reading nonetheless.
Although I liked Dirty and Ellie’s story (it should have had its own book!), there were a lot of sideline stories that I thought were dispensable. It should have been more just about Cage and Tegen.

There are many good books about bikers and about the MC’s world. But no one, and I mean NO ONE, do better books about bikers than Madeline. She is probably the holy queen of this genre. This are great books.
Give it a try! ;)

Personal Warning : Do not read these books if you’re sensible with curse words (so MANY of them), if you’re sensible with some violence, drugs and out-of-the-norm types of love.
Because you will probably want to scream at the author and well… that’s just not possible anymore! :P

Epic BR with my beautiful Rosaa xx <3

First of all I would like to tell you that I'm obsessed with this series...but unfortunately this book didn't captivate me... :(( The story had a great premise..I really tried to like it but I'm not impressed! I hope the next book to be better!!!
My biggest complain is that I want more of Cage and Tegen...and that
the book also includes the side story of Ellie and Dirty and it ruined the book for me ...

description

Tegen loved Cage since she was 8 and as much as she tried to hate him after 16 she couldn't. ..She made the mistake of telling him she loved him after he took her virginity...

description

Years later they finally see each other again..and he apologised to her..
There relationship was always complicated and messy not romabtic ...

I didn't like Tegen in the previous book....and this didn't change in this book.. -.-
I hoped she would already get over Cage but this didn't happen ! I can imagine that it is hard to have your heart broken at such a young age but she hold this on to a grudge!

About Dirty and Ellie..

Ellie is a friend of Danny and she goes to live with Dirty after he saves her from Daniel's almost rape...Dirty then proceeds to pull a gun on her in his sleep and he almost rapes her.She runs away but after seeing him in pain, immediately comes back to comfort him. -.-

description

I find their story doesn't interest me..and I skip some of their parts....

I hope the next book will be better!!!
And I can't wait for ZZ's book!I want a girl for him!!!

"From chaos, the strongest sort of love is usually born."

What can I really say, this world is a place where I will gladly get lost in over and over again. You have to be able to separate yourself from what you know is right and wrong, and be able to handle the ugly side of life to fully appreciate it.

This was a little different, there were two stories in one, the main story is about Cage and Teagan but you also get Dirty and Ellie’s story. Deuce also play’s a big role in this book, which I loved; he is and always will be the King of all Alpha Bikers.
“You love the man,” he said. “You—”

“Love the life,” I finished for him. “I know.”

I’m not gonna go in spoil it for you, this is a series that you have to sit back and enjoy the ride, because my emotions were just all over the place. What I love most is that in this ugly world there is still beauty and love, and it just highlights the small things we take advantage of. There is a big sense of family in this book, and although they may not be all blood, they are family where it counts most.

Satisfaction roared through him. She wanted him. She still fucking wanted him. With her hair wound tightly around his hand, he yanked her head forward, bringing them nose to nose.

“You’ll always be my Teacup,” he growled.

Love, they say, has the potential to kill a person if they aren't careful. I wasn't careful. I let that love blossom uncontrollably until it was in full bloom, exploding from within me, with nowhere to go.

Well Madeline Sheehan has done it again, she has taken broken, damaged, and completely imperfect characters and managed to write a dark and gritty book that you will not be able to put down until the very last page. I was not a fan of Tegan from the past books, and I'll be honest that I wasn't thrilled to be reading a book with her as the main heroine. But I love this series, and I loved Cage, so I thought what the hell. Well I am eating my words, I'm not too proud to admit that, because this book was fucking awesome!
Cage

Cage is the son of Deuce, the president of the Hell's Horsemen MC, and he's also the asshole manwhore responsible for breaking little Tegan's heart at the tender age of 16.

Tegan

Considering the woman didn't have a sound below screeching, it'd be hard not to. She's a vulgar, rude, mean, mouthy little bitch. But considering what she has been through in her 24 years, it's somewhat understandable.

Tegan is the the daughter of Dorothy, a "club whore" and has been in the MC life since she was eight. She has also been in love with Cage just as long, up until he shattered her world and her heart when she was 16, and she hasn't been the same since. She learned one very tough lesson from all of it
You stupid bitch. You ignorant, stupid bitch. Love isn’t a fucking answer. It hurts more than it doesn't, it's harder than it is easy, it takes work, guts, and perseverance."

Tegan escaped to California for college and to be as far away from the club as possible. To say that she hates them and the life they lead would be putting it mildly. But now she's back at the request of her mother, who's still dealing with the fallout and issues following her gunshot wound the head courtesy of Jase's wife a year ago, and Tegan is forced to come face to face with everything that she had hoped to forget.

Wow wow wow! The side story of Dirty and Ellie was one of the best parts of this book for me. I think they were the saving grace to Tegan's constant screeching, yelling, and swearing. Ellie is Danny's friend from UnBeautifully; she was the reserved and somewhat shy one of the group of friends. Dirty was a character that I barely paid any mind to from the past books...until he pretty much stole the show in this one.

My heart broke for him with every new bit of information I read. He was such a broken, dark, and damaged soul.
He was nothing. He was shit. He was a damaged, deranged, sick motherfucker who deserved to be put the fuck down. He shouldn't have lived for as long as he had; he didn't deserve to share the same earth with people like Ellie.

Ellie was the light to his dark. I absolutely loved her and the way she treated Dirty. Their story was gut wrenching and beautiful at the same time. My heart broke for each of them and what they were going through.

Every day she was faced with his beautiful face, his long, lean, sculpted body, and his personality, so damaged, so fragile, she couldn't help but want to fix him. He was a woman's worst nightmare; beautiful on the outside, ravaged on the inside. A deadly combination.

Their story was the perfect yang to the ying of Cage and Tegan. Had it been just Tegan and Cage, the book would have been something close to 3.5 stars for me. But Dirty and Ellie added that dark and damaged softness that this book so needed to bring it to a beautiful 5 star read.

But I wouldn't have it any other way. Madeline Sheehan has a writing style that's dark and gritty but at the same time so incredibly emotional that I've come to fall in love with it. There's been plenty of MC books I've read before and after, but not one of them compares to her books. Not even close.

There was so much that happened in this book that I don't want to go into since I don't want to spoil or give anything away, but prepare yourself for another roller coaster of emotions.

ZZ, oh sweet baby jebus! I cannot wait for his book. The event that took place toward the end of Unattainable

I can't even imagine what his book will bring. Wow, just fucking WOW! And of course there was more Dorothy, Hawk, and Jase. I can't wait to see what happens with them. Madeline Sheehan just keeps getting better and better with each new book.

Yes, her characters are far from perfect. Yes, they will piss you off more than make you happy. And yes, her stories will gut you and at the same time make you feel eeeeeeverything. You will hate it, you will love it, and you will be unable to set it down. But that is enough gushing from me. You will want to drop everything you're doing and READ. THIS. BOOK. And I thank you

So all morning I've been trying to think of a review for this book and I just don't know that I can. Madeline Sheehan blows me away everytime with her writing. This story is gritty, raw, dirty, and filthy but in the mist of all this is infinite beauty.

I hope to be able to write a better review but for right now this is all I can muster: Fucken Brilliant.

EXPECTATIONS: They suck.

Let me start this review saying I loved Undeniable & Unbeautifully so I had HIGH EXPECTATIONS about this book. My fault, I know.

I also want to mention I still love Madeline's writing style, cursing had nothing to do with my 2.5 (rounded up) stars, I promise. I just didn't feel it, babes and it hurts because I wanted to love this book but I couldn't.

Cage and Teacup had potential and most of my buddies LOVED this one so I guess this is a case of 'it's me, not you' book.

The thing is there is a side story in their book and that story didn't grab me at all. I found myself skipping some parts and that's when I realized something was wrong.

So I'd like to keep this short and sweet. This book was just OKAY for me, it didn't impress me at all. It was well written but I barely got the 'Sheehan's butterflies' and I only truly enjoyed certain parts of the book.

This doesn't mean the writing was bad because it wasn't bad, this doesn't mean the book was bad because it wasn't bad. This only means it didn't work for me but I still hope her next books still do it for me.

I know, you all are thinking this:

It's ok, ladies. I know you are huge fans of this author but please remember I was respectful, pay me back the same way ;).

“Dimples. They were going to be the motherfucking death of me.”

Damn them dimples!!!!!!!!! But shit...who am I kidding I couldn't have denied Cage if I tried!!!! Tegen she's loved him since childhood........hard core biker or banker or whatever job you want to insert.....when you know you love someone you know!!!

However you may not be happy about it!!!!!!! It is what it is...hahahahaha!

Tegan is crazy...she's a fireball!!! She hates that she loves Cage, after what happened to her Mother in the previous book she also hates the biker lifestyle.

I liked her ALOT because she spoke what was on her mind....she did NOT care who's feelings it hurt. I liked her honesty and fact that she truly didn't mind pissing everyone off to get her point across.

Cage is a bad boy so OF course I lurveeeeed him!!!!! I LOVED his filthy mouth and his fits of jealousy when he finds out who Tegen has been living with in San Francisco! Let's just say our man Cage is not a happy about it!!

This what Tegen thought of Cage....

"He became the cockiest, most self-centered, self-serving, egotistical, narcissistic, and depraved motherfucker I’d ever met in my entire life. Which, when I think back on it, is probably why I fell even more in love with him."

YES COME TO MOMMA!!!!!
I love those type of men!!!!!

Tegen usually drove him insane but he kept coming back for more!!

“Fuck, he loved her. He fucking loved the shit out of her.
She was crazy. She was loud and demanding and meaner than hell sometimes. She didn’t listen to a damn thing he said, she did whatever she wanted whenever she wanted to do it, and the bitch loved to fight. All the damn time. Face slapping, shin kicking, balls to the wall, knock-down-and-drag-out fights.
But she fought like she loved. Hard”

There is another storyline in this book...Dirty and Elie's. I wasn't very excited about that when I first started reading this book. However those two really grew on me and I ended up loving them!!! It didn't overtake Tegen and Cage's story and that was my biggest fear. There's been a lot of books lately where the secondary story takes over the whole damn book!

The first 30% of this book was ok and that scared me because I always expect great things from this series....however to me nothing will be as good as Undeniable! You don't get a character like Frankie in just any book I will never forget that crazy ass for as long as I live!!! Ok let me move on....by 50-55% this book, to me, became a page TURNER!!!

I was laughing, I wanted to punch people, I wanted to slap Deuce right in the FACE!!! These are all the emotions I love to feel when reading.

So all in all great addition to the series!!

By the way I saw on facebook that Dorothy, Jase and Hawk's book will be next.......all three interesting:))))))

**4.5 Very HAPPY and Satisfied Stars**

My first thought on Tegen having her own book was, shit, hate that bitch! Which led to dreading the thought of reading this until the next book comes out. BUT I'm glad I grew some balls and dived in!!
description

Who can blame me for judging Tegen. She's a crazy loud bitch, who's PMSing at all hours of the day.
description

Which didn't change much in this book. But the difference is I understood her craziness. To me, her mood swings and loud mouth was a form of protection against Cage. The only way to keep him away and hide behind her walls, without him hurting her again, was to unleash her inner bitch.
description

description

Cage...hmmmm I loved Cage. The way he was so sweet and kind towards his loved ones, for a biker, that was really hot. I really felt his pain whenever Deuce treated him like shit, or he was judged harshly, whether he really was at fault or not. I loved the change in him throughout this book. His thoughts on being with one person and changing his whorish ways.
description

description

Together, these two were crazy, highly dysfunctional, aggressive, but perfect in a messed up way. With so much differences between them, they still manage to make it work.
description

________________________

Having Ellie and Dirty a part of this book to me, were an awesome extra bonus. I loved their drama and heart wrenching story, especially Dirty's. I felt it pieced this story together perfectly, but even saying that, I would have loved for them to have their own book.
description

Unattainable had its sad and yes, scary moments. I was highly intrigued by the story line, characters and all the messed up issues they go through. I enjoyed this just as much as I did the first two.

If you've read the others in this series, then no need to warn you that this book isn't your typical love story. Its bitter, rough and extremely sexy.

I would recommend this to anyone that can handle a tough book full of foul mouthed bikers, either fighting, killing or fucking...not particularly in that order.

WOW...UnF**CKINGBELIEVABLE! UnATTAINABLE left me happy, sad, excited and GUTTED...I'm pretty sure I'm missing a piece of my heart after finishing it!!! This is Madeline Sheehan's best yet..she is a genius.

99.9% of the time I only want to read "traditional" contemporary or erotic romance. I stay away from the darker stuff, because I want unicorns, sex, balloons, sex, cotton candy, sex, and glitter. Madeline Sheehan's UnDENIABLE series is the exception. Ms. Sheehan writes stories that are harsh, raw, gritty, funny and with an UnBreakable love that perseveres through the good, the bad and the ugly. I will say it again, she is a genius, honestly, THREE days after finishing UnA I find myself thinking "I wonder how Cage and Tegan are doing?" Ms. Sheehan draws you into her world so completely and vividly that you feel like these are REAL people living in Montana. Her brilliance outshines so many others and consistently amazes me.

UnATTAINABLE is about Cage West and Tegan Matthews. Cage is the son of Deuce West, President of the Hell's Horsemen motorcycle club. He grew up in the MC and is expected to follow in his dad's footsteps. Tegan is daughter of Dorothy, who is considered a club whore. Which I don't think of her as, I think of Dorothy as one of those women who loves hard and gives her heart and soul to a man who doesn't deserve it. Anywhoo... Tegan and Cage meet when Tegan is eight and Cage is ten. Tegan feels lost in the chaos of living around the MC and immediately clings on to the innocent affection and attention Cage shows her. As they grow older that innocent childhood love turns into more for Tegan . Those new feelings take Tegan on a heartbreaking journey that shapes her into the adult she becomes.

I am not going to go into what happens in UnA because to do so would spoil so many of the twists and turns. YES ... TWISTS and MUTHEFFIN' TURNS!!!! What I will say is....

Tegan - I have liked Tegan throughout the series...but after reading UnA I 'effin LOVE her, like I have a serious girl crush on her. The bitch ROCKS! She is a smartass, take no shit heroine (THANK YOU Madeline! There are too many weak heroines out there today.)

Cage - He was NOT how I expected him to be. He was a manwhore, which was to be expected, but I seriously thought he would be a little less of an ass than Deuce (who I LOVE in all his assness). Cage has depth and pain that is painful to see unfold. Cage is also sexy as hell....and oh those DIMPLES!

Deuce - WHOA!!!!! WHOA!!!! HOLY SHIT!!!!

Eva - The glue that binds them all.

Dorothy, Jase and Hawk - WOW!! A trainwreck waiting to happen. These three are in a huge mess and I really don't see how anyone is going to come out whole. I can't wait for their book, UnBELOVED.

ZZ - HOLY SHIT!!! I NEVER in 100 yrs imagined what goes on.......

Dirty and Ellie - Tragic but magic. Dirty is tortured, hardcore, a lost soul....until he meets Ellie. Ellie grew up with Danny, Cage's sister, and does not like anything to do with MCs and stays away from anything MC related. Until a horrible incident reintroduces her to Dirty. What happens between these two is one of the most emotional, disturbing, heartbreakingly beautiful stories I have EVER read. If anyone can read Dirty's history and NOT understand why he flipped his lid and NOT feel like he deserves someone to love him and a second chance at a decent life, well f**k you, F**CK YOU!!!! Because after learning about his history in UnA I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dirty.

The rugrats of the UnDENIABLE series... BE AFRAID, VERY AFRAID.... these little badasses are the future and OMG they are going to be FIERCE! They steal several scenes throughout the book. :)

To summarize:
"This muthereffin book is the shit!!! Madeline is a goddess. Cage is hot. Tegan is my hero. Deuce and Eva still got it. Me loves me some Kami and Cox. This book will gut you, make you smile and cry. Don't hate on Dirty....if you do I will shank your bitch ass.". 5 +++ Stars

"Long Live the Hell's Horsemen!"

As always, I enjoyed my ride with the Hell's Horsemen. I will hop on my bike and clean my cut for any and all rides Madeline "Prez" Sheenan creates for her "girls".

This story wasn't my favorite of the series for several reasons. Cage and Tegen just weren't my cup of tea at ALL. It didn't matter to me that Cage is hot or not they were really babyish and irritating. It could be that I'm older than the characters but all the "she screamed" and "I screamed" or "she shouted" was exhausting and not in a cool way to me. Perhaps if Cage and Tegan's story was combined with Dorothy's I would have handled it better.

On the other hand, Dirty and Ellie were magnificent and interesting and had my full attention and kept my attention through out the story.

The "One year later"...what the hell? I wanted the time that Dirty and Ellie become closer and didn't get it. I'm grateful for what was given and happy for them. I truly enjoyed Dirty's transformation.

"He was a woman's worst nightmare-beautiful on the outside, ravaged on the inside. A deadly combination."

My heart broke for him and laughed at some quotes. I just wished there was more of Dirty.

"First order of business,"
Ripper said dryly. "Does Dirty need a new name?"

Deuce is Deuce and although I read a few reviews that don't care for him, I thought he was pretty great in this book and as a parent I get his actions and him. So Deuce hoping that you don't pass the gavel anytime soon xoxo.

Last but not least I want to give a shout out to my fav old biker...Old Blue.

THERE AREN'T ENOUGH STARS!!

Once again Madeline has blessed me with an advanced copy of one of her books. I’m not sure how I get so lucky!!

Madeline has so much talent and with each book she hones her talent that much more. I would venture to say this is the best in the series. The way she writes, she just pulls you right the fuck in and fuck your family and their needs….nothing is getting done, dinner isn’t being made, laundry isn’t getting washed until you finish this fucking book!

UnAttainable is Cage & Tegen’s story as well as Dirty & Ellie’s story. You get their stories from all four points of view.

Words cannot begin to describe how I love Tegen. She is a spit fire. Tegen is balls to the wall! She says what she wants and doesn’t give a FUCK! She’s also using her hard exterior to protect herself.

Cage….he looks like Deuce, talks like Deuce, but he is NOTHING like Deuce…in a good way.

Cage & Tegen together, it’s like a god damn hurricane of epic proportions. They fight hard and fuck harder.

Ellie & Dirty’s story is sad, sweet and incredible. These two are such an unlikely match, but really bring the best out of each other.

Madeline had me screaming NOOOOO at several points in this book. The emotional roller coaster she put me on was scary, exciting and my favorite to date.

** 5 I NEED MY HEAD EXAMINED STARS**

Shall I explain?..... When I read that Tegan and Cage were getting their own book, I was happier than a horny gal at Chippendales (fantastic BTW, if you go to Vegas I highly recommend it). So why did I care more about Dirty than Cage? Simple.....some ladies have a weakness for shoes, others a stray dog, my achilles heel happens to be a broken man. ...... Lord I ramble... Here are my thoughts in no particular order (nor rhythm or reason).....

Cage and Tegan
 photo fec0b748-828b-45d4-ba4b-0e9a206abc4b_zpse1763400.jpg
Wait , that isn't right. This one’s more accurate ...
 photo caveman-cavewoman_zps51b935bf.jpg
I’ve been rooting for these 2 since unbeautiful. This toxic couple did not disappoint. Tegan was a pain in the ass. I understood her reasoning in the beginning but after a while I seriously wanted to duct tape her mouth. Cage was crazier than I remembered, that's a huge positive so Hoorah to him. They are complicated, hot headed ,dysfunctional and 100% meant for each other. Holy hell they drove me NUTS and I loved every second of it.

Now, on to my surprise.. Dirty

When his name first appeared I thought "who the hell is Dirty again?" I will surely remember him from here on out..... especially since I fell hard for the man. Dirty makes Humpty Dumpty seem like an easy fix. He is crazy, scary and just plain bizarre but there is a good man under all those demons. I enjoyed reading his transformation.. There is so much more to his story but I don't want to spoil it for anyone, my apologizes for being vague.

Deuce
 photo 973b3cbd-e5ae-4045-a197-0dcdc6bec82a_zpsc1f02b55.jpg

Sorry Deuce lovers but he pissed me off. I understand the tough love concept but I'm not sure Deuce does. I found his comments regarding how much he does for everyone to be obnoxiously tacky and for the LOVE OF GOD will he stay out of his children's personal lives. As always his old lady is salivating over his dick and boy was I surprised by her_____ (can't say).

I'm fairly certain everyone makes an appearance in this book and there's a whole lot more to this story BUT I'm tired of typing. If you were a fan of books 1&2, I highly recommend unattainable.

I really enjoyed this one! It was a 4.5 star read for me. I think it was a bit toned down from the first two books. I don't think that's a bad thing necessarily. It still had several OMG and WTF moments and that one part where I felt a little queasy! :D I really enjoyed Cage & Tegen's story. I also found myself very much interested in Ellie & Dirty as well. Dirty was on another level of complicated. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to love him but I did despite how messed up and wrong he was. I loved that Ellie was a hard worker and focused and that she loosened up and changed as the story went on. I'm always a fan of black characters that aren't written like a stereotype!!! Tegen was freaking HILARIOUS and when she and Cage argued it was on the same level of entertaining as Kami & Cox. I also enjoyed that the book focused on both couples stories almost exclusively. We did get an idea of what was going on with the other characters and what would be coming up next but it wasn't overkill. I kind of felt like in Unbeautifully we got a lot more of Eva and Deuce than was needed and not enough Danny and Ripper. I can't say that was the case in this one at all. I am definitely looking forward to more of this series.

"Love, they say, has the potential to kill a person if they aren't careful."

No one writes biker books like Madeline Sheehan does. I'd give her my left nut if I had one, for more Deuce and Eva... :) *hint hint*

This is Cage and Tegen's story. I was very excited to read their story. I've been looking forward to it since that last book. It's hard to beat book 1 in my option. Deuce and Eva are very high on my radar when it comes to these books.

Tegen is very blunt who doesn't give a fuck about anyone and their feelings when opening her mouth. She is probably the only character in this series who doesn't give two fucks what everyone at the club thinks of her. I love that about Tegen, she sticks up for her self and will fight dirty to keep it that way.

Cage...ugh. UGH. He was beautiful. And an asshole. Like father, like son.

Cage that beautiful, King stupid, is such a man whore. He will stick his dick into anything that has a pussy. He does whatever the fuck he wants.

"Love isn't a fucking answer. It hurts more than it doesn't, it's harder than it is easy, it takes work, guts, and perseverance. Most importantly-what I would stress the very most-is that love doesn't solve a goddamn thing. Love doesn't erase a broken heart, and it sure as fuck doesn't change people."

The part that bothered me is having Dirty and Ellie's story along in the same book. It was pretty much two separate books combined into one. From reading the blurb, I had it set in my mind that it was about Cage and Tegen's, story then out of no where here come Ellie and Dirty, joining the book. I didn't like that because it made me fall out of the book. I wasn't sucked in like the first two books did for me.

I did enjoy Cage and Tegen's POV so that is what kept me liking this book so much. But adding the 2 additional POV's didn't cut it for me, I would have liked it better if Dirty and Ellie had their own short story of a book separate from this one.

Other then that I am looking forward to what is next in the biker books.

Buddy read with my lovely ladies in whatsapp, Laci, and Pammie.

Madeline Sheehan did it again with another entertaining biker book. Unattainable is a two for one deal; Tegen & Cage and Ellie & Dirty's stories.  I love how Ms. Sheehan took the character Dirty with all his perverse ways and made the reader feel for him.  Ellie & Dirty's story stole the book for me.

4,5 Stars..
Cage you are my star!! Short of!!

I haven't read the first two books but i read too many reviews to know i couldn't deal with so much infidelity.. And i wasn't drawn to their stories.. This one was something different.. I read an expert in May and fell instantly in love with it.. And it was a great ride!!

Lets start with Cage my favorite boy! It's my prerogative to love bad deranged, suicidal boys. Yes he was a man slut but he was also kind and compassionate. Yeah, he was hot as hell too.. That helped a lot.
Tegen was loud and screamed more than she talked but she is very straightforward and i liked her a lot. She was crazy like everyone else there but she had a certain attitude that i loved. And about ZZ, he was in a bad place. But still..

The sidestory was tedious at the beginning, i didn't really cared much about Ellie and Dirty. But they grew on me towards the end.
All the characters had their moments.. But Deuce!! I really hated him from what i knew.. And for almost the entire book i wanted to kill him.. But in the end.. God! I guess i have a sweet spot for dimples too.. But if he ever goes back to his ways i would like to make a suggestion..

Although i loved it i had some problems.. Mostly with the book's perspective towards women and also with what Dirty did to women without them knowing..

There were exceptional moments too..
Like the chapter from Tegen's POV after one year.. So peaceful and calm and in total contrary to what was going on with Cage's life at the time.. The way it was written was really amazing.. Like the last few pages..

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK
- The reaction after Dirty finally appeared the way he is was priceless..
- Cage while drunk was so good..
- Deuce should be called douche but..
- I liked how much he loved Cage and also he made me awwwwwww really hard in the end.. Yeah that guy has his moments..
- I wanted more Tegen and Cage..
- Really engaging story..
- What's with all the kids?
- Eve is acting like a mother to everyone.. So sweet.
- I liked ZZ at the beginning.. i'm sure he should expect some problems from Cole after what he did..
- They were all such drama queens! Seriously stop overreacting about every little thing..

- Why would anyone sent out a pregnant woman while in lockdown? Oh Deuce, you really make it hard to like you.. Get you ass out there to bring D. back.
- Yes there were problems but in the end! I loved it.. YES.

This book was a two-fer! We got the story of Cage and Tegan but also that of Dirty and Ellie. Two totally different love stories, different things going against them, baggage to overcome, all wrapped up in a shiny package at the end!

Cage and Tegan have a LONG history. Befriending each other as young children, Cage would sit and have tea parties with the sweet redhead daughter of Dorothy....thus the nickname teacup. But, hey, things change, people grow up, cherries get popped, Cage fucks up...and she hates him through most of her young adult life. But does she really? She treats him like shit, refuses to accept his apology for past wrong doings but she holds a grudge like no other. But their chemistry and love/hate attachment is explosive.

It wasn’t the same for him. The older he grew, the more he changed. Gone was the sweet, caring boy he’d been, and in his place… He became the cockiest, most self-centered, self-serving, egotistical, narcissistic, and depraved motherfucker I’d ever met in my entire life.

Can they ever just put the past shit behind them, be on the same page, and own up to their feelings?

Their love story was crazy! Tegan is one tough bitch. I don't think many men could fight and keep up with her...she's physical as well as verbally explosive. The more the merrier for Cage. The more angry she gets, the harder he gets. This is no fluffy romance. It's dark and gritty and I loved it.

Dirty and Ellie's love story is one born from tragedy. When Dirty saves Ellie from sure rape, she is immediately drawn to this enigma of a man. Dirty knows he's got huge demons that haunt him. Why can't Ellie see he's not a good guy..even if he saved her life. Shit, he's done as much to other people. But she stirs something in him that, regardless of his horrible abusive childhood, makes him want to be a better person...not a person to repel people to keep them away from his ugliness inside.

My only issue with the book was the flip flopping between stories. I almost wish it was split in two and both stories told in their entirety. Nothing was labelled who the particular chapter or section was being referred to. I had to figure it out along the way. But Ms Sheehan is a queen of dark badass alphas. Nothing is hearts and flowers but she doesn't fail to make us want the happily ever after. The only thing I'd change was a bit more closure on Dirty and Ellie's story. I know this book was Cage and Tegan's but when close to half the book revolves around Dirty and Ellie, I wish for a stronger closure there.

Still an all around great badass alpha dark read.

Review posted on Way Too Hot Books

I liked it, but...

Back in the February when I read my first Madeline Sheehan book (you can read my review of Undeniable here), I was new to the whole big, bad bikers fictional world. I didn't even watch Sons of Anarchy - I had SoA marathon this summer - and my only biker experience was Reaper's Property by Joanna Wylde.

One thing that stayed the same is the fact that this author knows how to write - it's not pathetic, characters aren't talking like fifteen year old kids, it's like you can see this whole world in your head while you are reading. Madeline is that good with words. And if your ears are sensible, you are warned - her favorite word of the day is "fuck". Maybe she is even too fond of it, but... fuck it.:)

What is different? You get two stories - Cage and Tegen are central characters of Unattainable, but there is also sneak a peak in the life of Dirty and Ellie, Danny's best friend. There is much less "criminal" drama behind love story - this book is, at least from that point of view, tamer. There is no big age difference and Tegen is one tough cookie to break. Did I like it? Honestly? I am not sure. I have love/hate relationship with this series - I can't wait to read next sequel, I enjoy writing style, sex scenes can be hot as hell, but there are still some parts that disturb me or that just make me scream in complete frustration over female stupidity.
I know that most of the readers like previous books better and that one of the things they find lacking is Dirty and Ellie's story. I have to say that I found them more interesting than main train-wreck couple. By the end of the book, Tegen seamed inconsistent and little bit confusing, Cage with his rage and whoring. Ending was probably the weakest part of Unattainable - too rushed, illogical - I had a feeling like there should be more to their story.
General impression? Undeniable series is looking more and more like biker version of Black Dagger Brotherhood. Is that a good thing or a bad thing, it is up to you to decide.

I've been thinking...

description

I had so many conflicted emotions after Undeniable - at the same time I was totally hooked, I couldn't stop reading because I just had to see what will happen next, but on the other hand I just wanted to kick someone's ass for being stupid, I wanted to hate author for promoting all the caveman, repressive/traditional/patriarchal nonsense that millions of women fought to bring down. But after a while I realized that I'd been hypocrite. Why? Hmm... Let's see - I love reading about D/s relationships, I have soft spot for the very cavemen specimens Madeline Sheehan writes about and, for fuck sake, I am complete Stockholm syndrome freak. And in my free time I like to think about myself as feminist. So, I figured out that I am that "hysterical woman" from the beginning of 20th century - full of conflicted emotions and desires, body that is still under influence of its evolutionary animal part that seeks the alpha male in the group and intellectual being that thinks about everything and tries to distance itself from the animal part hiding inside.
What does that says about me and any other woman who recognized herself in all of the above? That we are crazy? Not normal? That even feminists are full of shit because they too have their inner "cave-female"? Or that human sexuality is not that simple? That our basic instinct to reproduce is one part our evolution left intact and now we have all this conflicted thoughts and desires? I don't know, I really don't. Only thing I can say for sure is that, like anyone else, I love sex and I don't care as long as I get what I want and need. Simple as that.
How about you? Do you feel like you're betraying your fellow feminists or you are just along for the ride?
