A lovely, uplifting compilation of stories all revolving around quilts. You learn the history of each style of quilt, the log cabin, the double wedding ring for example. This background is followed by several vignettes that involve that style of quilt. Each vignette end with a Bible verse. A book to be read slowly, and then meditated on. A book that can be read again and again. It is a bit inspiring, making this reader want to create maybe just one more quilt!

Love quilts

This is like the Quilt of joy book. Twelves quilt patterns are mentioned, their origin and history. Than each is followed by short inspirational stories about faith and God.

I enjoyed this book. It read like a devotional: short stories centred on a point (with a quilt reference included), and then a little passage from the author on how we can apply a lesson from the Master in our lives. The book combined two of my great loves: learning from God's truth, and quilting. I will be reading more of Mary Tatem's work!

I liked this when I first started, but then the stories began to feel forced. They started to seem forced to fit the category. I also had another one but decided not to read it.
