Harry has only had his room for thirty-two minutes when it stops being his.
Uni AU. Harry had turned up at the halls of residence expecting fun, new friends, and maybe a life experience or two. What he doesn't expect is a surprise roommate who's loud and dramatic and obsessed with tea and is maybe, actually, all he's ever wanted.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if you were forced to share your dorm room with a complete stranger and along the way each of you caught feelings for the other but you were too afraid to say it out loud? Red brick heart would happen.
While the plot and writing aren't bad by any means, the spotlight is definitely on the character and relationship development. At the beginning Harry and Louis are thrown into a difficult situation and they act accordingly but they really mature over the course of the story. And so does their relationship as well.
However, they take an extremely long time to actually get to that point which is quite infuriating because they both like each other in that way and even a blind person can see it (the way they act like they were a couple kind of gives it away).
While I'm always a fan of progress and get that for it to happen the characters have to make mistakes, I can't with a clear conscience get behind the way Louis treated Harry throughout some parts of the story. He leads him on every chance he gets and then distances himself the next morning on multiple occasions. And Harry just lets it happen every time and still supports him no matter what. Yes, he had reasons and I understand why he did it, but I still don't think he had the right and it's just something to be aware of before going into the book.
One other thing: the epilogue. I am a hopeless romantic and usually love big declarations of love, proposals and weddings or babies at the end of a romance novel. But in this instance we followed them through a random day a couple of years later which can be quite cute don't get me wrong. However, as they seemed like completely different people I felt like I had to get to know them all over and I quite honestly don't see the point in this epilogue.
But to end on a more positive note, the smut scenes were exactly to my liking. Not to many, hot and you could see the love between the characters. So yeah, a big thumps up from me.
Overall, while I don't support the way some characters handled certain situations, I still really like them all and especially enjoyed the development they went trough.
This one was cute. It was easy, I had a fun time reading it. And overall, I liked it !! I skimmed the last couple of chapters, but the tension was nice and it was slow burn-y. It was nice, slightly longer than it needed to be.

It was very basic, just very fluffy, a typicall university AU I would say. the characters didn't have real personality and I hated Louis' character part-times but all in all it had very cute moments!!
it was so hooking and interesting and giddy at first. I had real high hopes for this but the ending was weak and I found myself wanting to change a lot of things about it. Nevertheless, it was cute. Solid. Quick.
