Good book, but somewhat outdated as it was published in 2014.

As this was my first Android book, I didn't read it cover to cover - I went in depth through the sections that were relevant and skipped the APIs that weren't. The book is very intent on highlighting important facts rather than performing as a reference manual, and in that it performs really well. Very useful as a starting point for what to do / what not to do.

I recommend this book for any Android developer that has some experience and wants to know more. Depending on what you've worked on so far, some things may not be new, but you will certainly find something useful. You may even find some fresh ideas for things you already knew. I did.
