Malik Solomon was a successful, hardworking, and determined psychiatrist, with a thriving office based in Atlanta. He had everything, he wanted and more. He was married to the beautiful and submissive Chandra; he controlled and regulated every aspect of her life. That all changed when Chandra found out that she wasn’t the only woman getting his time and she decided to call it quits. Refusing to accept defeat, Malik figures that he’d rather have her dead then to allow her to leave him, and boldly attempts to take her life right in front of the police. After being shot by the officers on the scene, Malik is handcuffed and taking to the local hospital where he waits for his wounds to heal. It’s there that he finds out that his wife is not only going to pull through, but she’s also filing for divorce. Furious, Malik comes up with a plan that allows him to walk out of the hospital a free man. Now a wanted criminal, he alludes the police, all while stalking his terrified wife, and plotting on her demise. Will the police be able to arrest him in time, or will he make true of the saying: Till Death Do Us Part.

Miserable Matrimony was a hard read but a well expressed reality of true life for a lot of people. It's not for the faint of heart that's for sure. I was not disturbed by the manner in which the Author portrayed Malik because it happens. What had me so pissed was Chandra how she stayed. Now Deadly Divorce picks right up where MM left off. I must say it was an emotional read a disturbing read a mad as hell read but again a truthful account. Yes you get frustrated with the characters and for me so much so that I can't revisit them again. Cachet did a wonderful job writing this second installment but for me personally it left me frustrated.. We were able to see now Malik became the deranged mental case that he is but it was too little to late for me... If you read the first part Miserable Matrimony you will not be short changed by this one but I don't do weak and definitely not stupid. So this is where I get off.. Until our next journey together...VNR
This book picks up right where Miserable Matrimony ends and even offers you a look into why Malik grew into the man he is. Still I didn’t feel sorry for him. This book will make you so mad, Malik is something else both crazy and deranged. When a book brings out the emotions in the reader, you know the author has done an EXCELLENT job in writing the story. Thank you Cachet for a EXCELLENT story. I had to keep saying to myself (”it’s only a book..it’s only a book” )
Miserable Matrimony is hard for me to read because there is something wrong with Malik and Chandra. I feel sorry for Chandra because she doesn't deserved for domestic abuse by husband. Miserable Matrimony is also made me cry and emotional.
Deadly Divorce picks up from Miserable Matrimony. I like the concept and vibe in this book. The main character is Malik.
Dislikes: In the beginning of this book, I felt bad what's happen to Malik's parents but his mom was a bad influence to Malik. Malik is still control, aggressive, crazy, and evil.
I don't like when the judge gives him sentenced to five to ten with the possibility of parole after five but he is disrespect to Chandra and her family.
Like:
I'm happy that Chandra speaks up for herself and make the right choice to divorce him because he wasn't a good man for her.
Recommended: Deadly Divorce is a good book to read. Cachet did a good job. It's dealing with lot of emotional, mental, and physical. Anyone has no right put his or her hand on people. Ladies and Gentlemen, you will not going to disappointed for this book because Cachet takes her time to write for this book.
Rating: I enjoyed reading this book. I choose the rating 10.5 stars for this book and author because they both deserve it. I'm looking forward to read another book from this author.
(Chronicles Presents) (Kindle Edition) I loved this book, picked up right where part 1 ended. I didn't think I could despise a character as much as I despise Malik!!! And I'm truly hoping he gets his at the end of it all. I'm not going to say anymore than that, definitely don't want to ruin this great series for anyone. I highly recommend these books AND I'm hoping I don't have to wait too long for Part 3!!!!! Thanks Cachet for a sleepless night last night that I'm now paying for today!!! LOL
Malik was one sick twisted son of a bitch but we all so got to see why he is the way he is from the murder-suicide of his parents, to the death of his best friend, and the death of his first wife and child. He was literally given the short end of the deal every time then when his Chandra his second wife wants a divorce he does everything from stalking, spying, and attempted rape he takes this to be extremes can't wait to see wat happens next.
This book was really heart felt, because you never know what some women have to endure. This book really shows you the side of domestic abuse either by the hands of men or women. It was sad that he couldn't let Chandra be left alone. It was also sad that she blames herself for him acting like that. She was not a fault with his dealings. He was just less of a man to treat her this way. I hope their is a part 3 cause I won't to know what happens next. This is a must read.
Ok, it actually took me a few months to read this book. I had to calm down after reading pt 1 (Miserable Matrimony). This story picks right up right where the craziness of pt 1 left off with Malik's crazy, abusive behind still up to no good. Be prepared for an emotional ride. The author has this character doing and saying things that truly left me speechless.
Why did I go read this book this good Sunday afternoon to have Malik making me curse. I swear I need to get on these pages for his a$$. Once again a job well done Author Cachet. Since the damage has already been done I might as well move on to the next part. LOL Thanks for a good read.
oooooh wee Malik pissed me da hell off!!!! The book was mos def a 5 star and well written. But when it comes to Malik he just makes me crazy!!!! He is officially nuts!! hope there is a part 3. Cachet you are fabulous!!!
I would of have it a higher rating if there wouldn't of been some grammar errors. I also wish I would of heard more about the wife in this book instead of just his life.. but it was a good book either way.
Cachet is one of my favorite authors. She has a talent for snatching you into the story and making you live it. I was on the edge of my seat , despising Malik the whole time. He is one twisted soul .
This was a great love story with a twist Malik was a psychologist and he was the one that was sick. He really didn't know how to show or give love. I felt so sorry for Chanda family
I swear Malik is sickening. He took to death do us part to the extreme. I don't want to even meet a man named Malik. Good job. I hope part 3 is in the making.
This book picks up where the 1st left off. The things Malik does is crazy!!! The rollercoaster ride Cachet brings will leave u feeling some kinda way. Good read
This was an excellent book. It picked up right where Miserable Matrimony ended. I can't stand Malik but his past is the reason he's the was that he is. I hope he gets what he deserve in pt3.
Malik has a serious problem!!! My heart just hurted so bad for Virginia. I didnt even feel bad about his childhood. His mother have turned him into a monster!!!
