3.5 stars. I didn't found up because Rose drive me crazy. If she could have just been honest with herself, she could have said a lot of time, energy, money and trouble for lots of people.
I really like this story and found it to be very believable unlike The Wedding Dress it wasn’t rushed and filled in the background. From the beginning of the story you knew where you stood and who stood with whom. You have wonderful fun loving characters that are very supportive and do their best to make this the best wedding possible even though they believe it would be a mistake they only want the bride happy. Whatever that takes they will do and work their butts off to get it done.
Rose is a wonderful woman who plans weddings the most important one is hers. She has it all planned out everything is going so well and then everything that could go wrong does from an interfering mother-in-law to be to not enough flowers, the cakes all wrong and the wedding setting can’t be worse. Her husband to be who seems so perfect doesn’t seem so perfect anymore. She can’t get the handyman RJ out of her mind he is always there doing for her he knows her so well. What is she missing could it be the perfect life she has planned isn’t so perfect after all?
RJ knows what he wants but is welling to lay it all on the line to get the women of his dreams. He knows how it feels to be the man left hanging and doesn’t want to do anything to hurt Roses relationship. He keeps hoping she will come to see how much he loves her before it is too late and she makes the biggest mistake of her life. Rose has other ideas she came from the wrong side of the tracks and knows she wants more out of live. She has lifted herself up and makes something of her life. RJ is sure he can give her everything she needs if she just will trust in him and his love. The days are running out before she said I do to the wrong man. Will he be able to change her mind in time?
Donovan is marrying Rose she will be his trophy wife he loves her but will it be enough? He has plans and Rose will make him the perfect wife she is understanding that he is a doctor who is busy and doesn’t have a lot of time for romance. Rose understands this for she is busy and doesn’t make too many demands on him. He isn’t concerned about RJ he is a no body and Rose wants the life they have planned. Rose is a sure thing he is so sure but will he get the shock of his life.
Who will Rose pick the passionate handyman or the doctor? Both men have so much going for them what it boils down to is which truly loves Rose and will she find her answer in time or could she pick the wrong man and make the worse mistake of her life?
I found this story to be the best of the series so far I loved how the two men get their points across and that she finds the best fit for her. It was an easy book to follow and it kept my attention from the beginning to the end. Now I am off to read Sparks Fly I feel sure it will be better than the last for each story gotten better then the last.
This was the best book of the series in my opinion. It has all the elements that make a romance truly enjoyable. Friends having each other's back; family offering support without being over-bearing; humorous situations as well as emotional. Nothing is perfect in life and the author reflects this in her story. You should check it out (public library or downloaded e-book); you'll be glad you did.
Oh! And no gratuitous sex every other page. I'm 61. I know how this stuff works and I'd rather not have a play-by-play.
Rose owns the Rose Chalet a wedding venue and with the help of her close friends she makes brides dreams come true. Now it her turn to walk down the aisle, only everything seems to be going wrong for her wedding plans. RJ her gardner/handyman has held his feelings for her to himself for a long time but is having problems letting her marry a man he doesn't think is good enough for her.
This was the book I was waiting for during this whole series. Everyone was back in it, helping Rose out and everything. It even made me tear up a few times. These books had more of a novella feel just because they were all so short it they got the job done
Rose hired RJ five years ago when she first started the Rose Chalet to be her gardener and handyman and hasn't for one moment thought it was a mistake! He has always been there when she needed him and comes up with solutions for the problems that came up and helped to brighten her and the other employees/friends moods as needed. So why is she having a hard time not thinking of him when she should be thinking of her fiancee, Donovan, especially now with their wedding only a week away? Plus she can't stop thinking of their one kiss on Valentine's day when Donovan was really late picking her up. What is she doing? Plus now Donovan's mother has expressed concerns about them getting married in a gazebo! She has to dismantle it and come up with something else to fit their status? Then she's told there's a problem with the food, then the flowers, then the music, then Anne tells her she can't find the correct thread for her wedding dress! Oh boy what else can go wrong? You will need to read this great story by Bella Andre to find out how things work out...or do they?
Thank goodness this is the last book of this stupid series. I have no idea why I read all five. All of the women are stupid, and in this one Rose is right up there at the top of the list. The first four books hinted at this story line, so you're ready for it. However, Rose's personality totally changes in this book, it feels like a disconnect. Her perfect RJ is too perfect. She did not deserve him in any way, shape, or form. Somehow she grew up poor, but built a large wedding venue in San Francisco at a young age. How did she do that? That would have been an interesting bit of the story. How did she meet her fiancee? Also would have helped the story. But no, just throw in a few sparks (very, very few) and call it a day at the keyboard for this author.
I don't really know what to say about this book. It had a different feel to it than the first 4 books had. Not that it was bad just different. I think this stems from the fact that in the first four books in the series I had a mental picture of Rose as an older, business owner but yet motherly type of person. In this book I realized that she was around the same age demographic as the rest of the characters in the series. Also the book was very, very vanilla. If you are looking for hot steamy sex scenes than this is not the book for you.
Rose is getting closer to marrying Donovan but something doesn't feel right. She is trying to make herself perfect because of the wealth of his family.her bridal shower could have gone better when her future mother in law said about being her son's wedding. Rose doesn't come from money but she loves her friends and co workers. RJ finally admits he loves her a few days before her wedding.
What a great end to a series from Lucy/Bella. Rose and RJ's Story was just as great as I thought it would be the love and tension between them was sizzling and hot and I’m glad it worked out didn’t like Donavan anyway lol. Wishing there were more stories from the Rose Chalet, Bella you could just do stand-alone with the other characters from this series 🙏🏻please
This was a good fun series to read. Each story with it's own dilemmas and how the couples find each other. This book was about following your heart more than what might sound or look good to the world. Enjoyed for sure - and the writing is done really well.
Four Weddings and a Fiasco book 5. What a loving ending to a fantastic series. Seriously full of angst, passion and drama. The owner of the Rose Chalet gets her happy ending.
Well that one almost ended the wrong way... Love once again won out against the odds. She coykd so easily married the wrong man. Glad she realized in time that being yourself is the best thing to do and not going against the truth and thereby end up marrying the wrong guy.
Rose owns the Rose Chalet and had lots of weddings but had a hard time with her own love life until she figured it out on her wedding day that she didn't love the guy she was going to marry. she then ran away and followed the love of her life.
I loved this series, and am looking forward to reading more by this author. I loved the writing and the characters, and how they all seemed like a family. I highly recommend this series to anyone looking to read real romance novels.
I couldn't wait to read this book about Rose and her fiance Donovan and her right hand man RJ. I seriously got caught up in this book and was sobbing when she kept pushing RJ away. A great read!
A perfect ending to a fun filled series of happy moments and memories with couples in love! Characters were fun and family oriented! Thanks for the series.
I loved this book. The person I was most impressed with was rose's mom Susie . She made her daughter see what was right in front of her nose. During the book I cried and chuckled when Anne, and all the supporting actors schemed to bring a good couple together. It was just as good as Anne's book. The reason I took away a star was because halfway through the book I wanted to shake rj and rose. I wanted to like Donovan but could not. Donovan's mother was a real piece of work.
