This book provides a short explanation on the infrastructure require for the analysis of big data. The book provides an overview of technology that was available when the book was written. It does not really go into much detail, and as such it is not very helpful. It provides a quick intro but anyone that wants to create a big data analytics platform will require further study of the available techniques and tech and research into how the tech and techniques have evolved since the book was written.

Part of the publisher’s very useful series on big data analysis, you will get directional guidance on what to think about when setting up and getting started evaluating an architectural approach.
