I read it while resisting the urge to edit it for the current election result. There will be quite a few changes if Lederer decides to update it. This could be read by kids, teens or adults: anyone who enjoys trivia. There was predictable material (Kennedy/Lincoln assassination coincidences) as well as material I didn't know (vice presidents, etc.). It was fun and light, definitely what I needed this week!
This was a super fun read. Learned a lot about a few obscure Presidents like Zachary Taylor (Refused to be inaugurated on a Sunday--so some else was sworn in as President for a day) and John Tyler (died in the Confederacy)
This is a GREAT book! It is both educational and entertaining. History in high school would have been so much more fun if I had had this kind of book to learn from.
I only wish the book had more stories. Some chapters do have small section where the author goes into the backstory of a particular fact, but most of the book is a simple bulleted list of trivia.
This makes the book a little tiring to read, and it also makes it difficult to retain what you read.
