Everything changes when a friend from his past places Josiah in danger. Katie, as well as her Amish community, find themselves in the midst of his problems. Will Josiah be shunned for his actions? Will it ruin Katie's hopes for a relationship with him?
June Bryan Belfie began writing in her 70s and has written over 30 books. Her Amish novels became best sellers on Amazon Kindle, and her work has been published with both Harlequin and Desert Breeze. You can find most of her books available at Barnes and Nobles in paperback or e-book. Soon audio books will be available for some of her Amish and Christian-based novels.
While raising five children, June found time to take up oil painting and studied under several nationally known artists. She also loved to play the piano, sing, and sew.
In the 1970’s, she and her husband, Jim, purchased and operated a thirty-eight-room country inn located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania where she established an art gallery as well as creative workshops, which took place in a converted recreation hall. Professional artists and writers from all over the country presided over classes held during the summer months.

She enjoys her eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as her adult children and their spouses. She now resides in Media, Pennsylvania.
Katie's Discovery is the third wonderful story written by June Bryan Belfie in her series The Zook Sisters of Lancaster County. This story revolves around the youngest Zook sister Katie. Katie is usually a sweet cheerful young girl but as of late she seems stressed and withdrawn. Katie's health has become a concern to her family as well as her weight loss. As her family's concerns become apparent Katie knows she needs a distraction. When a family friend, Josiah Stoltz, returns to the community Katie finds herself drawn to him. Katie tries to figure out what Josiah is hiding and is drawn into danger. When things for Katie become serious she has to decide what she really wants. Can she help Josiah along with her health problems? This is a story filled with so many emotions and will definitely keep the readers interest.
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response. All opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others. This entire series is very enjoyable.
Congratulations to June Bryan Belfie on writing such a great story to conclude her series.
I thought the characters in this one were weak. The author's attempt to address the issue of eating disorders was good, but not really very in depth. I liked the first two books better.
I totally enjoyed this book. It was very well-written with realistic characters. Real issues were addressed realistically without judgment. I do recommend this book. I will definitely read more by June Belfie.
A young Amish woman struggles with an eating disorder and low self esteem. A young man returns home and realizes that she is the girl for him. They work through some problems and promise to each other.
Hopefully, this isn't the end to this great series. Wonderful story on how strength in numbers is much better then shooting ones way through a bad situation.
