POPKULTUROWY KOCIOŁEK: Dziesiąty tom GTO skupia się prawie w całości na wątku kradzieży pieniędzy na szkolną wycieczkę, o co zostaje oskarżony bohater. Tematyka jest więc dość poważna, ale oczywiście podana w mocno intensywnej i szalonej formie. Onizuka nie z takich tarapatów już przecież wychodził i zdobycie przez niego określonej sumy pieniędzy to tylko kwestia czasu. Przynajmniej on jest tego pewien, a życie przecież potrafi mocno zaskakiwać, nawet jeśli może on liczyć na pomoc niektórych swoich uczniów.

Fujisawa kontynuuje w tym tomie znakomitą pracę nad rozwojem swoich bohaterów. Onizuka, mimo że wciąż pozostaje tą samą zwariowaną, nieco dziecinną postacią, zyskuje coraz większą głębię. Coraz częściej widać, że pod jego beztroską powierzchownością kryje się niezwykle troskliwy człowiek, gotów poświęcić się dla swoich uczniów.

Nie byłoby GTO bez charakterystycznego dla serii humoru, który i w tym tomie odgrywa kluczową rolę. Onizuka wciąż popisuje się swoimi absurdalnymi pomysłami na rozwiązanie problemów, często narażając się na niebezpieczeństwo, a nawet upokorzenie.

Sceny slapstickowe, niespodziewane zwroty akcji i szalone dialogi sprawiają, że tom czyta się błyskawicznie. Jednak, co warto podkreślić, humor nigdy nie jest tutaj celem samym w sobie – zawsze pełni funkcję narzędzia narracyjnego, które pomaga budować relacje między bohaterami i podkreślać ich przemiany...

Какая мерзость... Снова школьницы творят хрень, заставляя волноваться всю школу ради своих примитивных целей. Необъяснимая глупость.

Очень интересно, каким образом удалось восстановить оригинальное изображение из газетной распечатки с замазанными глазами. Думаю, школьницы вряд ли использовали какие-то мощные шифрования, чтобы всё это проделать, ограничившись однотонными прямоугольниками. А исправляя это, даже современная нейросеть будет выдавать отсебятину, а у них там конец девяностых. Это бред.

One of the best volumes. Its whole chapters cover the same arc, which is about the trick Myabe made to get him expelled. It ends with him wining the car, yet a man shows in front of him in dark.

Onizuka finds himself trapped and has to find the money for the school party. Miyabi looks set to succeed and get the GTO fired. To save himself, the GTO makes a crazy promise: an all-expenses-paid trip to Okinawa for all third-year students. Onizuka has one week to come up with 8 million yen.

A more rhythmic tome, with the pressure of the deadline, where Onizuka amazes us by respecting his vocation to the end. The Great Teacher never takes it easy. Honor and a message for the students come first. The other male teachers are as disgusting as ever, and Kanzaki is well developed. I really like this character, and there's a good dynamic with Kikuchi. But is it really an accident?... the suspense is at its height!

More edgy, fun, with twists and turns, very good tome!

Read this series first back in adolescence, and as I go through the same books this present day I find how resonant some themes that the author touches upon remain. Surely at face value the series might come across as silly or over the top; but it is in fact deeply rooted in everyday themes, troubles, vulnerabilities, passions among other threads. A real depiction of human connection as a manga can get.
