Eleventy-three Stars!!!
HI. My name is Chris and I’m an addict. I will admit it. I’m addicted to the ‘More Than’ series. I love Jay McLean’s writing. Reading these books just puts the biggest smile on my face. These are some of those ‘drop what you’re doing and read NOW’ type of books for me. Stories that are angsty and emotional at times, but also sweet, steamy and so freaking funny. Perfect. They are the perfect books for me! I guess what I’m saying is if you haven’t read this series, you REALLY should! Reading More Than Him didn’t disappoint. Another solid five star read!
*If you haven’t read More Than Her, there will be some story line spoilers for the second book... proceed with caution*
More Than Him starts off right where More Than Her left off.
Logan is doing what he thinks is best. Not best for himself, but best for Amanda. He can’t get over the guilt of what almost happened. Amanda is left behind, trying to get through. She is distraught. She has so many mixed feelings when it comes to Logan...
After spending a year with Doctors Without Borders, Logan knows it’s time to come home. He has to see her. The girl who has consumed his every thought while he’s been away. Amanda hasn’t had an easy year. Thankfully, she has her brother and a few close friends. They’ve pulled together to get her through. She’s still not the same. Without Logan, things aren’t the same. Logan doesn’t have many expectations when he gets home. He can’t. He left. But what if she’s with someone else? He can’t even think about that. When they see each other at a party, time stops. Everyone else ceases to exist. Logan can’t ever let her go. He’ll do anything in his power to make things up to her. But it won’t be easy.
Logan and Amanda take some time to get to know each other again. Building their trust and talking to each other is the only way to do that. While away, Logan kept a journal. Oh the journal. Cue the tears. Those entries gutted me. Logan has been through so much. He just has to have his happy ending... right? Amanda and Logan have this connection, this pull towards one another. They can’t resist one another.
No matter what the obstacles, Logan will do anything to get his girl back. I love this guy!
Logan is, and has been, by far my favorite character in this series. Followed closely by Lucy, then Logan’s dad (random, I know). I love Logan so much because he’s not perfect. He’s real, flawed, sweet, swoony, funny, and just AMAZING. It makes me feel a bit like a cougar because I crush so hard over this guy a decade younger than me! I don’t even care. I’ll shout it from the rooftops. I heart Logan Matthews! I love the way he loves. Admits to his mistakes and even though he screws up a lot, he’s always willing to work to fix it.
What can I say that I haven’t already said? I LOVE THESE BOOKS! Perfect blend of humor, steam, angst and romance. This was a story about forgiveness, love, and second chances. If your ready to laugh, cry, and swoon, then pick this series up! I can’t wait for Lucy and Cam’s book next! Seriously Lucy... Twinkle twinkle little whore, close your legs they’re not a door. More Than Him is book three in the More Than series by Jay McLean. The last book, More Than Her, wrecked me. I actually had to take a break to let my emotions settle down before I could go on to the next book. I’m glad I did wait but this book wasn’t as hard on me. I felt hope throughout that Logan and Amanda would find a way back to each other.
Logan has been gone for a full year. He left soon after the attack that happened in book two to spend what was supposed to be six months with Doctors Without Borders. He spent the year healing emotionally; he began to keep a journal. But through it all he never stopped missing Amanda. When he came back, he had every intention of staying away and letting her get on with her life. But as soon as he saw her, he knew that just wasn’t going to be possible.
“And I knew it then. I knew she had the power to make everything better. That’s why I needed her, but it was more than that. It was so much more than that.”
“I’m doing it. I’m going to fight for her. I can’t exist without her. She’s my air.”
Amanda has slowly gotten stronger in the year Logan was away. She has been spending time with Logan’s Dad and sort of got to know Logan better in his absence through his Dad. As soon as she saw him, came face to face with him, though, it all came back. All the love, all the hurt, all the memories.
“I would not let him break me.”
Logan and Amanda begin spending time together again but kept it a secret. Her brother, Ethan, is so protective and he would never accept Logan back into their lives. They have both suffered so much in the past year and they find strength and healing in each other. But can they overcome everything that happened? Can she completely forgive him for leaving?
“It feels like I’ve fallen in love with you, for the first time, all over again.”
I think this might be my favorite book so far. I can’t say why exactly. I see in each book the author’s writing getting better and better. And I think that I was so devastated in the previous book that I relished the hope for these two that they might be able to finally find the happiness they deserve. I felt joy in every step they took towards healing, forgiveness and their own happily ever after. I have completely fallen love with the people these two have grown in to. And I’ll say again that I just love Logan’s Dad. That man deserves to be sainted. I have really just fallen in love with this series. These characters have become lodged in my heart. And can I say that Jay McLean can write hot and steamy like no other. The scenes between Amanda and Logan had my toes curling. Whew! Will I soon be continuing with this series? Try and keep me away.

If you are anything like me then I am sure that you experienced HEART FAILURE at the end of MORE THAN HER. You had that moment when you tap the screen but reality sets in… 100% DAMN, no more pages.
A CLIFF. FU*K. ME. HANGER.
In the words of Logan “ No thump, just flatline”

My heart dropped. He was right—I didn't want him to be—but he was. –Tyson to Amanda
The book opens with Amanda just trying to make it. One minute, of every hour, of each day minus the one who holds her heart. Logan. She has kindly asked for Micky and Lucy to keep their distance, she’s still raw and needs time to heal, to move on. She knows that would be impossible by staying close to his friends.
Hell, she can’t even hear his name without all the memories flooding her brain. And the pain, all of the pain over how he just up and left. How could he leave without saying goodbye...or explaining why. As if any reason could actually appease her.
No, the only thing that can heal what’s been broken in her is Logan.
And he's gone.
HIM
With the help of his father Logan joins Doctors Without Borders and is gone for a whole year before returning home. In that time he has some life changing experiences that readers will get to see in a very unique way. Once home fate takes over and places him directly in to her path again. Both are hesitant and neither is the same person from a year ago.
Logan is the guy just trying to pull himself out of the deep black hole that swallowed him. He makes it VERY clear that he is willing to do what EVER it takes to be with Amanda. He understands that he may make mistakes but he shapes up and learns from those mistakes REAL QUICK.
I think that was key in the story for these two. There was a need to get out their feelings with a no holds barred conversation. She asked him first chance she had. “Why did you leave?” And that grew to “You didn't think I was worth a call....” Oh yeah, home girl was vicious when she went in on the questions; asking EVERYTHING I wanted her to.
In the mean time the strong love Logan and Amanda share for one another starts the process to repair what was once broken.
"You said you wouldn't kiss me," I breathed out.
"I'm not." His mouth never left me.
"So what are you doing?" My voice was strained. My breathing was heavy. I squeezed my legs together. He pulled away and looked into my eyes.
"Remembering you." - Amanda and Logan
Jay McLean showcases great chemistry with her hero’s and heroine’s. It’s magnetic, it’s undeniable,
it’s P E R F E C T I O N.
In between the main couple we get some great dialogue from the secondary characters Ethan, Lucy, Tristan, Tyson and Alexis. All provide great laughs and a few help our couple come to terms with the reality of how things have impacted everyone not just them.

SHE DID IT AGAIN! In my dreams Jay will do a double release and give me Cam and Lucy’s book along with Dylan and Heidi’s. Yes, in my ideal world she would do both books. *GRINS* Hey, a girl can dream!
Jay McLean has managed to put a balance in her story telling she will make you laugh, cry, cheer, fear, love, hate and use the lord’s name in vain on multiple occasions while reading her books.
And this book... This book was EVERYTHING I WANTED!

5 SECOND CHANCE STARS!!!
There is something magical about this series. Whether it’s the characters themselves, the amazing writing, the humor, I don’t know but together it makes for a deeply emotional yet sweetly endearing NA series that have taken a hold of my heartstrings and won’t let go. I've finished this book about a month and a half ago and still can't quite express myself so here are my thoughts...in pictures.

This book starts off 5 weeks after Logan leaves Amanda.
Amanda is a shadow of her former self.

*Heart-Stomach. Stomach-Floor.
Eyes lock.*
“I can’t hate you. But I can’t feel anything else for you.”
“I guess nothing’s changed.”
“Everything’s changed.”

Painful regrets.
“We could’ve been amazing together.”
“You just fucking left me.”
Flashbacks of happy memories.
“Why did you leave me?”

Then...hesitancy.

“Home. There was no such place for me. Not unless you counted Amanda as home.”
And then...a new connection takes hold. As fragile and tentative as it may be, it paves the way for a stronger, more enduring relationship.
“I need you to be able to look at this, for the rest of your life, and know that you’re it for me.”
“I have my girl. That’s all.”
“I think you’re done. You’re both moving forward. What else can you do?”
“Give her the whole goddamn universe.”
I'm going to miss these characters.

5 More Than I Ever Expected Stars!
I jumped on this book the minute it went live and then sat on what I was going to say in my review because this book HURT!
It was painful and at the same time it was beautiful!
For the majority of this book I cried...Logan’s pov gutted me!
Logan’s journey in this book was tear-inducing but at the same time I couldn’t wait until Amanda and Logan’s paths to crossed again.
The fantastic cast of characters, are once again spot on. I have to give Lucy a shout out because she is one of my all-time favorite literary characters and needs her own book!
The rough road back together for Logan and Amanda was well worth the journey!
Jay McLean not only produced this book before spring, but she delivered one hell of a story!

Jay McLean made me cry, swoon, laugh and feel so many different things in this beautiful and incredibly romantic story I feel emotionally overwhelmed. Logan and Amanda story will definitely be close to my heart and I don’t think that I will ever forget how much I adored this novel. It definitely was better than first part of Logan and Amanda’s journey. Why? Because it bleeds true feelings: heartache, pain, love and tear jerking moments are constant reminder why I admire Jay McLean’s writing. Not only did I feel close to the characters, I felt like I was part of this story also.
More Than Him starts exactly where the previous book left off. Logan left Amanda and she has to nurse her broken heart. She doesn’t have any idea how she’ll be able to live without the love of her life. Still, Amanda tries to pick up the broken pieces of her soul and slowly come back to life. Even if she has to fake ‘normalcy’.
When one year passes, Logan and Amanda’s paths cross again. And despite what he did, Logan still loves Amanda with all his heart. Now he has to fight for his girl and apologize for all of his mistakes. He has to make Amanda trust him, love him, forgive him, be with him.
"But I'm going back, and when I do, I'm going to fight for her. It could take me days, weeks, months, years. It doesn't fucking matter."
Logan is no longer a boy we met in More Than Her . He finally became a man, which I could see while reading his journal. He has terrible nightmares, suffers from anxiety and frankly he’s broken. The only light in his dark world is Amanda.
"In a life full of shadows, and darkness, and monsters, you're my light. When the blackness fades, and the memories subside, you'll be there. You're always there."
Writing that Logan and Amanda’s journey was beautiful is not enough. There are not words that can describe how wonderful it was. Yes, they had lots of obstacles to overcome and they made even more mistakes but when they were together it was like whole world stopped existing. I was mesmerized by how stunningly McLean’s finished their book.

I LOVED this book. More Than Him is a solid five star read. From the first page to the last I was hooked. I got everything I needed from this book. Perfect mix of angst, drama, heartbreak with plenty of sweet, swoon worthy and laugh out loud moments. It was just ideal read for me. It was funny. Sexy. Amusing. Cute. And all kinds of steamy. Did I mention it was perfect?

I know I'm in the minority here and that's okay. This author is a very talented storyteller, but not every love story will work for every reader.
I did feel this book was much better than the last. Logan and Amanda's continuation story didn't have the over-the-top drama that plagued their previous book, plus they grew and matured a lot in this one. I loved that! Still, I had a hard time admiring them as characters, especially Logan. His journal entries broke my heart but not enough to fully redeem him as a character. Because of that, it was difficult for me to connect with their love story.
I can't end this quick review without giving a HUGE SHOUT-OUT for my FAVORITE character in this book...Logan's dad, Alan. OMG! I loved and adored him. He made this book for me. I fell head-over-heels in love with him. Too bad he wasn't the hero. Well, he was for me!

After everything that happened in the last book, Logan decided that what's best for Amanda was leaving. So, for an year, he joined the Doctors Without Borders. Now it's time to finally come home again and get Amanda once and for all. But one year changes a lot of things and now they're both different people. And what happens if the person you fell in love with, isn't the same person anymore?
This was even better than the previous one, maybe because we finally see them solving their problems and really fighting for their relationship. It was angsty again, but this time was easier to get through. I loved how they took their time to get to know each other and learned to trust. Their story was beautiful and I'm seriously in love with these books.

5 Heartbreaking Stars
I seriously love this series and this particular book. This is the sequel to More than Her and so much happened in the previous book and completely changed and shaped Logan and Amanda’s lives.
Logan and Amanda have to learn how to cope with their past and the incidents that occurred, and everyone deals with trauma differently. Logan decides to leave, not just college, but the country. His dad connects him to Doctors Without Borders and he begins working and traveling third world countries. While away he Logan is sick with grief and anxiety, and he begins keeping a journal. I loved reading Logan’s journal and seeing how things were effecting him. It was perfect because it allowed readers to now him and his thoughts.
Amanda doesn’t have the liberty of running, and is left to pick up the pieces alone and heartbroken. She doesn’t know where Logan is and knows that she needs to move on, but how do you move on from the love of your life? How do you move on after losing trust in your safety? Amanda does the best she can and goes through the motions until the day Logan steps back into her life.
"My eyes lifted and locked with his."
Logan comes back into town and sees Amanda at a party. As soon as she sees him her heart stops and she is at a loss at what to do. She never got over Logan or the hurt she felt when he left, but where does that leave her. Logan is so happy to see Amanda and he just wants a chance to explain things, and hopefully prove that they belong together.
The conclusion of Amanda and Logan is completely heartbreaking and beautiful. I loved the progress they made, how much they truly cared about the other. I love how Jay didn’t gloss over their trauma, but showed how they dealt with things. I seriously love their connection and seeing them progress just made me fall even more.
This story has heart, humor and hot sex. I am not sure what else it could have to make it anymore perfect. Oh yes, one thing…Lucy! I seriously love this crazy girl and can’t wait to read her and Cam's book next.

Let me start at the beginning...
Book one...
I honestly thought that the most damn frustrating book I've ever read had to be book one of this series. Reading it, I wanted to crawl out of my skin because the MCs romance beats, stomps, licks, kicks, and tramples all around the bush... Yeah, literally! Cruel, author, just cruel! But, it's also a heartbreaking and heartwarming story where the MC goes through a lot of terrible shit & then ultimately finds a way to allow herself to live, love, and be loved. So, while the author is cruel in his angsty writing, there is a journey here and there's ultimately a satisfying story of healing and love. Neither of them intentionally ever hurt each other. So I read on to book two.
Book two...
This book takes a secondary character from book one, Logan, & replays how he met Amanda in high school and how he's currently trying to woo *coughs* < screw > her in college.
Yeah, I just thought book one was frustrating. Book two f'ing obliterates the angst in book one. It's like the most dramatized game of hide and seek and tag fathomable between Logan and Amanda. I get that Logan's childhood abuse plays a huge role in his actions, perception, and mentality. However, he continually emotionally destroys Amanda in cruel ways only to reel her in to do it all over again. It's sick, really sick, and it made me nauseated that Amanda would keep allowing herself to play this push and pull game of love and abandonment with him. This isn't second chance love, no; this is "I love you so much that I'll forgive ANYTHING over and over again. Doormat?
Book three...
The author makes Logan the perfect, most thoughtful guy when he's 'with' Amanda in book two. The author tried to make you hold on to that through the abandonment and emotional abuse he Logan leaves in his wake by ensuring that Amanda has a car and school thanks to Logan. Basically, even though Logan destroyed her emotionally... He helped her financially. Humph.
Likewise, the author attempts to redeem Logan with PTSD & continuing to use his childhood abuse as an excuse for his behavior. I'm sorry, I have huge problems with this element. Fiction or not, abuse is a true-to-life topic that shouldn't be used in fallacy or romanized as a 'why.' Logan is emotionally abusing Amanda no matter how the author pretties it with money and sadness.
His diary entries make me feel empathetic to what he's going through, but they don't change the fact that he ALWAYS abandons Amanda to feel like she did something wrong, he doesn't love or want her, and that SHE is the problem. He leaves her to suffer without giving her any reasoning. It's cruel and the very opposite of love. If he would've given her a shred of honesty in any of these cases, that is that it's about him being f'd up, not her, then I'd have a very different opinion about this series. It's not that he left, but rather how he leaves each time.
I'm not against vulnerability. BUT, Amanda is beaten and almost raped in book two and Logan abandons her. And she goes TO HIM and BEGS him to stay with her and apologizes to him for "whatever she did wrong." I just can't and don't want to read this kinda desperate, spineless female characters.
A year with nothing but a single letter later and he returns after abandoning her. Bam, she's pissed, but of course immediately falls right back to where she was in book two, which is allowing him to abandon her until he feels he can't stand being away from her any longer and decides to woo her back onto his penis.
Literally, without even talking about the "monsters," what caused him to run, how that hurt her, or anything relevant, they just fall back into "I love you" / you're my boyfriend / you're my everything status. She lies to the one Mf'er that been there for her each time Logan's run away. Toxic? Yes! Romantic? No!
Do I feel bad for Logan's past? Of course! Do I believe love can skew your mentality about what's best for someone? No shit! Do I believe in second chances. Hell yeah! Do people need to go off in their own and find themselves sometimes? No doubt!
What I can't buy into, though, is this toxic love, lust of a romance between Logan and Amanda. Love shouldn't be used as an excuse, & that's all it ever is for these two.
Bottom Line
There comes a point, surely after the sixth or seventh time of second chance, that characters are damaged beyond a HEA when they keep f'ing up and forgiving. The author did that here, & there was no way I'd ever see this romance as anything but toxic for both of them.
Some readers will see this as one of those love conquers all series. But, I just can't romanize continuously being abandoned, using trauma and abuse as excuse to disregard how you treat other people, & love as an excuse to forgive all the above. Even if I could, there would never really be a HEA here because readers will come to expect (a case of not if but when) him to run & hurt her..... Again, and again, and again.

What can i say about this book???
I think that it's my most favorite of all!!!
I love all these stories and i adore every single one of these guys, but i think that Logan and Amanda had a special spot in my heart...
Especially Logan!!!
I know that this story was the most emotional wrecking ball of all, but it spoke directly in my heart...
I'm a weirdo, what can i say???
I love the pain that they caused me... Why???
I think because it will remain permanently written inside my head and heart!!!
That's the reason why!!!
Hell, in this book i cry so much... I cried like a little baby...
In some point my heart couldn't bare it anymore!!!
I know that i will be unjustice if i say that my whole being ache so badly for Logan.
And Amanda... But mostly Logan...
I don't know why, but i guess that i understand his reasons why he reacted they way he did and he was such a wreck...
That awful situation marked him for good and left him like an empty sell...
It was so hard for me to witness it, especially when i read his diary...
My heart couldn't take it anymore!!! Oh, my poor Logan...
The loss of Amanda ruined him for a lifetime... and he thought that everything that happened that night was his fault!!!
From the other hand was Amanda...
She was in the same situation as Logan...
She was lost without him. She wanted so bad to hate him and forget about him, but he was her person for a lifetime.
She loved him with every cell of her body.
How can you deny your own heart???
She couldn't understand his reasons why he left her, why he destroyed the wonderfull thing that they were having together...
She was trying so hard, but she couldn't over it!!!
She was blaming herself for what happened that night!!!
Oh, my God!!! The first 100pages were so hard to read them...
I felt the pain with so much intensity that i thought it was my own...
The way they were feeling was too much for me to take it!!!
It was so fuckin' unfair what happened to them...
They were both victims and they lost the only thing that mattered for them... Each other...
They were suffered so much for so long time...
So much pain, so much loss, so many nightmares...
They were so broken... and they needed to heal...
And their only medicine for them was far away!!!
And after a whole year, their paths collide and they realised that between them were unfinished business...
They had to get their shits together and to get clear with everything that stood between them, if they wanted to earn some kind of happiness and to regain some pieces of their selves back....
And then the shattered pieces of their hearts started to stuck together again...
They will manage to overstep all these things that kept them apart???
They will manage to forgive each other and to find the happiness that they deserve???
They will remain each others person for the rest of their lives???
Oh, God!!! I adore this book and not only this one, but the whole series...
They manage to climb in my heart and they will remain there for a long time!!!
I can not wait for the next book...
I already love Cameron and Lucy and i'm so curious about their story...
I love Lucy's craziness and when she is drunk, i can not stop laughing!!!

You know what I think? I think it's human nature to blame yourself. When things fuck up in life, you always want to find a reason for it. There has to be a reason, right? Bad things don't just happen to good people.
So we sit around and try to make sense of it all, and the only sense we can make is that we probably deserved it, so we make up these ideas in our heads.

4.5 to 5 Stars!
Re-read it with More Than Her and loved it so much more the second time around. So I'm upgrading my rating.
Logan and Amanda's story has finally come full circle.
In More Than Him, we find Amanda coping with the absence of Logan, trying to pick up the pieces of their shattered relationship.
Logan on the other hand, was off doing volunteer work for Doctors Without Borders, suffering from PTSD and missing Amanda.
While their feelings for each other is still painfully apparent and the distance between them is compounding their pain and longing. Which in turn made this book an angsty read.
I was really surprise at the direction that Jay McLean took. I thought she was going to give us a triangle with Tristan figuring out during the first few chapters of the book but she didn't. And THANK GOD!! This book is really about Logan and Amanda growing up and maturing and learning to trust each other again.
It was sweet.
It was funny.
And it was all kinds of hot.
I mean, we are talking about Logan here. That boy is definitely not a boy anymore in this book. His letters and his journal entries were heartbreaking. I admit, I hated him a little in More Than Her when he just up and left but now....sighI can't hate him for long. It's not just possible.
I also adored Amanda. I thought she was going to turn into one of those indecisive females. Thank God, she didn't. Although, she was a little wary about Logan's intention, she never wavered in her love for him. Even with the delectable Tristan nearby.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable read. I laughed, cried, raged and aww'd throughout the book. It was great to catch up with the rest of the gang. These guys have become like part of me that I can't help but smile and cry over some of the things that's happening to them. I really can't wait for more.

Re-read it with More Than Her and loved it so much more the second time around. So I'm upgrading my rating.
Logan and Amanda's story has finally come full circle.
In More Than Him, we find Amanda coping with the absence of Logan, trying to pick up the pieces of their shattered relationship.
Logan on the other hand, was off doing volunteer work for Doctors Without Borders, suffering from PTSD and missing Amanda.
While their feelings for each other is still painfully apparent and the distance between them is compounding their pain and longing. Which in turn made this book an angsty read.
I was really surprise at the direction that Jay McLean took. I thought she was going to give us a triangle with Tristan figuring out during the first few chapters of the book but she didn't. And THANK GOD!! This book is really about Logan and Amanda growing up and maturing and learning to trust each other again.
It was sweet.
It was funny.
And it was all kinds of hot.
I mean, we are talking about Logan here. That boy is definitely not a boy anymore in this book. His letters and his journal entries were heartbreaking. I admit, I hated him a little in More Than Her when he just up and left but now....sighI can't hate him for long. It's not just possible.
I also adored Amanda. I thought she was going to turn into one of those indecisive females. Thank God, she didn't. Although, she was a little wary about Logan's intention, she never wavered in her love for him. Even with the delectable Tristan nearby.

After Logan left Amanda , she has fallen apart. Her brother and best friend are there for here, but nothing can fill the hole that Logan left.

I can't take this push and pull anymore. Somewhere around the characters lost their essence and I couldn't recognize them anymore. I got bored and had to skip some pages just to get to the end and that is some bullshit about a couple that will continue in the next book. Guess what?

Granted, I would have preferred to have Logan and Amanda's story conclude in one book. And after the cliffhanger ending in More Than Her I was ready to cut a bitch.
While More Than Him didn't have the drama and angst of More Than Her it was still a very emotional read.
The first half of the book....

After the tragedy at the end of More Than Her, Logan is gone. He feels like what happened was his fault. That Amanda would be better off without him.
"Sometimes it's just timing, Logan. Two hearts can beat as one, even if they aren't synced. Maybe that's what it was with you two. Maybe you just need to find the right rhythm, the right timing."
Logan travels abroad and works for Doctors Without Borders. Poor Logan....
He's depressed. He suffers from anxiety. He has nightmares and panic attacks. He writes daily in his journal hoping and praying that he will heal.
Those journal entries...
They tore me up. After a year, Logan finally returns home. And Logan and Amanda get a second chance.
The second half of the book....
Logan and Amanda moving on from the past. Learning to trust each other again. Finding their place with each other. Not wanting to waste one minute together.

I am a very vocal person when it comes to my books....Who wanted to kidnap Jay McLean's kangaroo after that awful cliffy from More Than Her??
Me, Me, MEEEEE!!!
Needless to say I was excited to find out what happens in this one. The first half of this book was sad and depressing.
But that is not acceptable. And thank goodness I am positive we are headed toward our HEA...
SO we start out this book with our lovely couple separated. And they are both depressed and miss each other.
Amanda can't figure out why Logan abandoned her. She isn't just going through the motions of life but not really living. She feels incomplete without Logan.
Logan missed Amanda so much that he can't stop thinking about her. He suffers from nightmares as well as anxiety due to everything that has happened. He decides he will win her back, and a year later when his time with DWB is up he goes home.
When they see each other Logan lets her know how much he missed her.
But Amanda is still mad at Logan for leaving her.
She is hesitant to take him back, but now is the time for second chances.
Now of course, don't get me wrong. They did have to take small steps along the bumpy road to get back to their Happily ever after, but still, they got there!

5 Amazing Stars. Truth.
I seriously just finished the sweetest story! More Than Him is one of those books...the books that make you feel. Make you go so deep into the story that you feel everything...every emotion!!! I am so glad I started this series. They became one of my favourite. Truth.

Logan is gone. Nobody knows where he is and nobody knows if he is ever coming back. So what choice does Amanda have besides to trying to move on?! Okay...but it is not that easy. How do you forget the love of your life? How do you move on from the nightmares and the trauma done by monsters? Nevertheless, Amanda tries to cope.

She has her brother, her best friends and...Tyson. Yes, her ex boyfriend is back in her life. A year passes and Amanda has abandoned any hope that she would see Logan again. This is until one party...a party when everything changes because...HE IS BACK!

He is back and he is ready to fight for her (again). But this time he is fighting for “forever”.

I'm having a Jay MCLean marathon in the hopes I can finish this series!! Apparently me and series suck, I seem to never get to finish them..

OMG so I've kind of just started this and she's gone to a party and who does she bump into no other than Logan and already I can tell this is going to be one mother of an emotional rollercoaster because of their history, their love, their story hasn't ended it's only just begun..
Gah this story is melting my heart piece by piece, one minute I'm giggling my ass off the next minute I have tears running down my face, I'm usually an unemotional person but this book is making my emotions race all over the place, up and down like a freaking yo yo..
Those f*cking monsters stole our moment..They stole all our moments..They stole you away from me.
I am so crazy, stupid, in love with this book, this series..A crazy raw emotional read..I love Jay Mcleans writing style, the power she possess that pulls us readers into her web of story telling, the story line isn't over the top or unbelievable that's what makes this series so good, bad things happen to good people, that shits real!! I just can't believe it took me this long to get to this series, I picked this book up, seconds, minutes, hours was spent just devouring the pages, I could not for the life of me drag myself away from this book.. It's one of those books that deserves more so much more than five stars!!

When I stopped calling Logan a Bogan was when I read his Diary post Amanda, some of his entries just broke my heart..And then when he let Amanda read them it broke just a little bit more, then her reaction to what she read shattered my heart..
I love Logan's dad (adoptive father) like how freaking cool is he!! He just seems like the best kind of dad ever!! He made my heart just go all gushy!!

I adore Jay McLean. Yes, I love her characters hard. I need a drunk Lucy in my life. I think we all do. Seriously. This series is simply perfection.
Logan Matthews. I wish I could wrap you in a giant protective blanket and save you from all the shitty ass people who have tried to beat you down. You are awesome. And your dad, the one that counts, is amazing. Gah, you guys make my heart swell.
I will try to come up with something worthy of this book, in a bit. But, honestly - Just read it. It's awesome. Hopefully you will love it as much I as did ;)

This is the conclusion to Logan and Amanda's story and I'm glad that I didn't have to wait for it. The first book left us hanging in a bad way and I couldn't wait to start this one and find out Logan's reasons.
And that's a big problem for everyone because Logan didn't leave a reason for doing what he did and it's hard for Amanda to move on without any closure. However, s-l-o-w-l-y she starts picking up the pieces and as with all things, as soon as she's doing well, he's back!
But Amanda's torn, she can't keep forgiving Logan or can she? They decide to keep things quiet and while some people understand it, others do not and it causes some intense drama.
It broke my heart reading about how they are handling the fallout from what happened. I think Jay McLean did a good job with the explanation for Logan. I just wish they both had gotten more help.
As always, I love having all the couples in the book and this time we actually get Lachlan (Yay!)...he is quite the character! I do have to say that I really loved Logan's Dad and his story broke my heart as well.
I enjoyed how everything wrapped up...the roof top was pretty amazing!

To start off…..I have to say “WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE, JAY MCLEAN?” Why oh why didn’t I read the first 2 books of the More series? But Thank All That Is Holy….that I was asked to be part of the Release Blitz and introduced to Jay’s writing capabilities.
I started to read the Prologue and was confused – oh so freakin’ confused – I had to message Feifei (my sweetcakes) to ask her WTF happened at the end of #2 so I could understand what was going on….So my advice to you – READ #2 first!! It didn’t take long though after Feifei’s summary and Jay’s fantastic ability to write, that I was able to fall headfirst into the lives of Logan and Amanda.
Oh my….Logan – my heart broke and I fell in absolute LOVE with his character – I cheered for him to make his way out of the black hole and rise to the top in order to get his “Person”. I loved Amanda and the choices she made not only with Logan but with her life in general. She was a definite true “Heroine” in the NA genre!
Yeah, there were times that I wanted to smack Logan upside his head and yell at him “Get a freakin’ clue, dude.” But what true character doesn’t fuck up every once in awhile. Our lives would be a merry-go-round instead of the highs and lows of a roller-coaster ride.
I think the most beautiful scene in this book comes when Amanda faces the monster and preaches to him about Logan….my eyes got misty and my heart was going….Thump. Thump. Thump.

Amanda is trying to cope with Logan leaving her after their trauma from the last book. She is not only battling the demons of Logan leaving but is trying to get through her nightmares and anxiety of reliving that night over and over again.
She deals the best the best she can with the help of her brother and close friends but nothing can take the pain away from the other half of her missing.
Fast forward a year and Logan is back – he wants his “Person” – he wants to give her the universe and he will stop at nothing to fight in order to get her back.
Journey through the tough times Logan has in dealing with his anxiety and fall in love with the path he takes to give Amanda “her universe”.

The continuation to Logan and Amandas story.
I think it was a great direction for their sequel. I found Logan a lot more mature here but maybe not enough grovelling on his part especially . I love all the side characters like Ethan, Lucy, Ty and Alan, probably more than the main ones.
This was a really good conclusion to their story. There was a nice amount of angst but overall I found it a tad too sugary sweet. A really easy to read book with a bunch of fun characters, just didnt have the "Ami 5 star feels."
