I had to be careful in tagging this book because I could have given the secret out. MAN...this book was ratchetly delicious. I knew what the secret was three pages in but was still surprised. I'm happy to see there are some sequels because this story ended on a WTF note. I was kind of confused at one point when Pebbles called her mom and at the end of the conversation the mom was all like "I didn't want anything when I called." I thought Pebbles called her but anyways still a really good read with some shocking parts.

"My Ratchet Secret" definitely lives up to its name! Midnite Love has penned a short story that will leave you guessing and shocked! My only complaint was that it was a little too short. Will be reading part two however. I must see how things play out!

Whew! Talk about a ratchet secret, or should I say secrets? Peyton(Pebbles) had been in love with his(her) best friend, Tasha's brother Adrian for years. The only problem with that is Peyton was gay and Adrian wasn't. Peyton did what he had to do to become a woman and get Adrian to fall in love with him(her). A couple years later, Pebbles surfaced. Everything was going according to plan until Tasha came over for dinner one night. She threatened to tell Adrian the truth. Again Pebbles had to make some quick decisions to keep her secret from coming out. She ended up killing her best friend(Tasha). It pained Adrian, but Pebbles was there to help him mourn the death of his sister. Pebbles came up with a story as to why Adrian couldn't meet her family. The truth is that she know her family would have outted her. They haven't seen her in years, but the last time they did she was a man. Adrian and Pebbles got married as planned, but now she has to decide how she's going to have a baby for her husband. The whole time he/she was scheming, it never occurred that Adrian might want a family.

I can't decide if I loved it or was just impressed by the amount of scheming. Seriously.

My Ratchet Secret is a story about a Peyton who became Pebbles. Was the the sex-change a means to an end? Not sure. All I do know, is that Peyton is so determined to have the man of his dreams, he concocts an epic plan. Become a woman and make said man fall in love with you. Naturally, this goes a bit wrong and now involves, murdering your best friend, a zero guilt policy for said murder and of course lying to your family. Somehow this plan works, but now, Pebbles has to find a child, because 'man of my dreams' Adrien wants a family. Something she never stopped to consider.

I spent most of the book wondering how Adrien was so blind and how long this charade was going to work.

This was a good book. Dam I can't believe all the craziness people would do or go through to be with someone, like sheesh. This man woman peyton now pebbles is one crazy person and the length this he/she would go through to stay with Adrian wow. So now she done killed the man sister I can't wait to see what she gonna do now that he wants kids. Oh boy let the ratchetness continues.
