Cincinnati police officer, Craig Logan, needs a plumber, but not bad enough to hire a woman. “No way am I letting some woman wanna-be plumber anywhere near my pipes!”
ESPECIALLY IF THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB…IS A WOMAN
When Toni (TJ) Jenkins shows up at Craig’s house to repair his plumbing issues, he thinks it’s a joke, but soon finds out the joke is on him. Toni is the finest plumber he’s ever seen. Will Craig realize before it’s too late, that not only is she the best woman for the job, but she’s also the best woman for him?
This is a short story prequel to - Still the Best Woman for the Job (coming summer 2013).

I love books set in Cincinnati, and "Best Woman for the Job" is no exception. The only thing missing was a Cincinnati Reds or Cincinnati Bengals baseball cap for TJ. My favorite pizza is La Rosa's, but I've heard good things about Dewey's (I've never had theirs).
I would hire TJ for any plumbing problems at my condo, and if there ever was a crime committed there, or I needed help, Craig can drop by any time. I loved their chemistry. The secondaries, Toni's cousins, were a great support system for her. I can't wait to read "Still the Best Woman for the Job."
I hated the slimey Leroy (that's what you want in a villain). I once had a plumber come to my condo and flirt with me and my mom (while my dad was there, no less!). At least he didn't botch the job, like Leroy.
Interesting! This is the novella that introduces Toni Jenkins, sexy lady plumber, and how she met Police Officer Craig Logan. Have to read Book # 1 to get the rest of the story.

"Best Woman for the Job" by Sharon c. Cooper This is a short story prequel to - Still the Best Woman for the Job
My Thoughts...
This was just a prequel to this series of the Jenkins Family Series...'Still the Best Woman for the Job' which featured Craig and Toni [TJ]. I loved how the author puts these two together giving us a 'feisty heroine and a protective hero' that was done so very quickly in this romance. Now, we will have to read the next series "Still The Best Woman For The Job" to see what will come next as the story unfolds for Craig and TJ. Now, just know there is a lot more to come from this story!
This the prequel to Still The Best Woman For The Job. The Jenkins Family, a series by Sharon Cooper. When I reread Still The Best Woman For The Job, I knew something was missing. Even though the blurb mentioned how Toni and Craig met, the book never mentioned him turning her down for a plumbing job at his house.
This prequel made everything make sense and introduced some of the members of the Jenkins family. This is a short prequel to the sweet love story of Craig and Toni. It answered questions that I had and certainly made me ready to read the rest of the books in the series. This series is about an African-American family who owns a construction company run by the granddaughters of the founder. It's a very entertaining series but all the books so far are rather short.
When Craig called for a plumber, he thought he was getting Tony, not Toni. Toni is fed up with guys thinking that she can't do the job because she's a women. Craig soon sees the error of his ways. Toni and Craig can't hide their passion from each other. Craig knows Toni's hiding something, and he's determined to get answers, but guilt and anger come when learns her secrets
This is a heart breaking and beautiful short story. Both Craig and Toni have suffered pain you wouldn't wish on anyone, and Sharon has done a superb job in portraying the hurt and healing
This prequel was an awesome way to introduce Toni & Craig's character's. Learning about Toni was interesting and also sad by finding out that she had gone thru the same experience that Craig's fiancee had gone thru. It was also amazing that Craig responded to Toni the same way (feelings & emotions) that he has toward Cynthia. Your books so far for me are really, really emotional as well as passionate. Keep up the good writing.😊😊😊🤗
Who doesn't appreciate an unconventional career path for women. I know I do. The foundation of Toni and Craig's story is what draws you in to not only know more about them but the Jenkins family. In this short you learn of two tragic events, one involving Craig's former fiancee and one involving Toni. It is that connective truth that a bond like none other is established.
I loved this fast pace novel. Ended to quickly. Toni Jenkins (TJ) proves that non traditional females can perform in there trained skills an still perform as a Woman. Macho Craig Logan Town police officer chauvinistic doesn't appreciate a female plumber cleaning his pipes yet can't keep his eyes off of her. I loved it.
Nice Intro for the Full Novel. I Enjoyed Toni and Craigs beginning. Their attraction to each other was spontaneous and Hot. Getting to know each other and their Similar past was a good matchup for the Story. Keep me Entertained and turning the pages. Ready for more. Romance with a twist. Recommended.
Cute novella and introduction to the series about the Jenkins female cousins/granddaughters. Looking forward to the follow-up story and hoping both Toni and Craig can get hurdle the tragic events from their past and find their HEA with each other. Both characters are very likable, and I felt both their pain.
Very short read! I'm glad it was free. It was very well written and it was a good short story. Not necessarily enough to make me want to read the sequel since it's my first time reading this author
Great prequel to the next book. I can't wait to begin the next book in this series. I recommend the Jenkins Family Series. I love the Jenkins Construction series so I know I'll love this series.
Loved the introduction to Toni and Craig. They were cute together. I'm glad Toni was able to prove Craig wrong in his thinking about women working as plummer's. I look forward to reading the rest of their story.
What a perfect short prequel to the, "Jenkins Family" series. The author draws the reader into the story. She has a way of writing that I can visualize as if I was watching television. The "free" book convinced me to get the entire series. Well done lady!
Smart prequel to the real Craig and Toni story. She is a master plumber and knows her tools. Craig can't really understand it until he gets to know Toni much better.
This introduction was perfect. It was short and sweet. The hero and heroine are perfect and both strong characters. Can't wait to read the other stories.
Toni "TJ" Jenkins and Police Officer Craig Logan are about to discover that opposites do attract but sometimes it takes getting past the opposite to really see one another. This short novella is the prequel to their full story which takes place in Book 1.
Toni is one of the baddest plumbers around. She is part of a family owned business that passed down from her Grandfather and now instead of his sons or male cousins running the business. Its now ran by all women and they are the cream of the crop. The problem is once a male customer takes a look at them, they make the grave mistake of believing because they are a woman and they can't get the job done. So they will go and hire and experienced male to perform the work and then eat crow because now they have to go back to the woman.
Craig Logan, chauvinist in the beginning until the second plumber jacked up his toilet and had to go back and humbly ask Toni if she could take a look at the problem. Oh and he came with flowers (Smart man). While Toni is at his home to access the problem, they begin to talk and realize they have a lot in common. Tragedy has struck both of them people in the past but the present just maybe what they were both longing for.
Can they make a go at it? While Toni is showing him she is the "Best Woman for the Job". There full story takes place "Still the Best Woman for the Job (Jenkins Family Series Book 1)". I am looking forward to getting to know Toni and Craig much more.
