Evan Martin was a country boy at heart with big dreams. He grew up in a small town in Utah, playing football since middle school. He thought his future with his girlfriend would be perfect, until she became pregnant and ripped his heart out.
Evan decided then he was never going to play football again and he wanted as far away from Utah as possible. He had always wanted to be a lawyer and decided to move to New York City to attend NYU and pursue becoming a criminal lawyer. He never wanted to look back at his past. The past that at one time was his future—his everything.
Evan had plans to go through his college years being a bachelor and playing the field.That was until a friend from his past Tatum Kelley walked back into his life. He had known and loved her all of his life, but she was involved with someone else. Evan was always there to pick her up when she needed him. But he knew she would just always be his friend. Although he wanted more, Tatum, couldn't leave her boyfriend the man she claimed to love.
Little did Evan know that he would meet Lila Carls and fall madly in love. The only problem was she was already in a relationship with another man, who was in the army.
Although Evan knew Lila was in love with another man, that didn’t stop him from stealing her heart as well. He knew he could never have all of her, but he wanted it all. After losing someone very close to him, he decided to act on his feelings he had developed for an attached Lila. Even though Lila had a boyfriend she acted on those feelings as well.
Once Lila breaks his heart after stringing him along and borrowing his love, he thought he would never find love at all. He was going to be alone forever. Years after Lila was married to another man and lived miles away, she walked back into Evan’s life and that one night of love and lust changes everything.
Evan, decided to put Lila in the past and move on. But Lila has a secret and it could ruin Evan’s future with his new love.

Without sounding like Mary Poppins , lets start at the very beginning. ...the cover is beautiful and dedication pulls at the heartstrings ♥ Delisa he would be proud sugar!
Tatum and Evan had an attraction to one another from a young age and they shared a beautiful and innocent summer holiday romance. After summer Evan has to return to Utah leaving Tatum with bittersweet memories.Once home Evan gets involved with a girl , Bryn, she's the love of his life and when she falls pregnant he's ready to marry her but she goes and aborts the baby and walks out of his life ! A heart broken and shattered Evan is left to pick up the pieces ={
2 years later and Evan is off to college and ges become a bit of a man whore but he has his in between moments with a few nice girls ,one of them being good old Tatum! After all the years the chemistry is still between them but sadly she's got herself into an abusive relationship but I think Evan will love to rescue her from it.
Tatum goes back to the douche bag and they get engaged ! Evan is left heart broken , loving someone who loves someone else. After Tatum's engagement Evan meets up with Lila and there's good chemistry between and she seems nice but I think she's hiding something .
OMG ! Evan is singing at the bar but he might as well have been serenading her privately!
My heart aches for Evan , it's 4 years later and he still mourns for his child and Bryn ={ It just makes one think about how daddy's are affected by abortion or miscarriage sometimes they're not even taken into consideration when a decision is made to terminate the pregnancy ,so sad really .
Eventually it comes out that Tatum is in an abusive relationship after she lands up in hospital with a broken arm , I think people had their suspicions but no proof as she kept going back and she kept denying it.
Evan is set up for more heartache when he realizes Lila has a boyfriend and Tatum goes back yet again to her abusing douche of a fiance :/
Evan's life is an emotional roller coaster with these girls and then to top it all his folks are in an accident and his mum dies :'( my heart just breaks for him he just doesn't seem to be destined for happiness . He loves the women in his life so passionately and deeply if I weren't happily married I'd go all cougar on his ass *naughty giggle and blush*
Lila has a melt down when Liam goes MIA and finds comfort with Evan, here comes trouble. ....

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest review.
This story is written mainly from Evans point of view. It's basically the first book repeated from another's point of view! I just didn't feel the need for this book at all. I felt like I was re-reading the entire thing again!
We do find things out that wasn't in the first book, as we meet Tatum. I really like Tatum and felt like punching her stupid boyfriend for her!
There just seems like too much going on in this book! I couldn't follow the story properly and a lot of dis jointed sentences, it just didn't flow at all!

I love Evan! He was my choice for Lila in Embracing Love, but I totally love him with Tatum. “Borrowed” is Evan’s story on finally capturing his true love. Evan has been through more heart ache than any man should….Always falling for the wrong girls and getting his heart broken. He deals with some tragic circumstances which makes you just want to scoop him up and give him lots of hugs (and kisses..lol).
I am a sucker for a true love romance book and this hit the nail on the head. The story was easy to follow (with a few editing errors) and such an enjoyable read. Follow this tragic love story to see if Evan gets his HEA. I would recommend reading this book.

Poor Evan doesn’t get a lot of luck with the ladies in the love department and always seems to fall for the wrong girls.
Evan and Tatum go way back and have always been special friends, they are both really likeable characters in the book. Tatum suffers at the hands of someone else and Evan is her knight in shining armour. But Evan seems to be everyone’s knight, he falls in love so easy and always seems to get hurt. He’s a good guy.
This is a novella and it has lot’s of chapters and stops and starts which sometimes felt disjointed to me but it didn’t bother me too much. The nature of the story was good but I would have liked to have seen more depth. I like dark reads and I thought the author could have taken it a step further and added more grit.
If you don’t like cheating in your books then you won’t like this but I love books like that coz I’m all kinds of weird so it did nothing to hurt my feelings when he got it on with someone already taken. It seemed like everyone in this short novella was cheating on someone but hey they were college kids and needed to learn from their mistakes. For a short novella there was a lot going on and there was a lot of sex. It was a quick easy read perfect for a sun lounger.

Borrowed is the second book (Evan's POV) from author Delisa Lynn and follows on from Embracing Love.
Although I hadn't read the first book prior to being given this one to review, it was easy enough to follow the story.
The characters are easy to like and follow, although I found the story slightly disjointed as there were so many sub-characters which didn't play a large part and didn't really have anything to add to the story.
It's a true love story and you can't help but hope that Evan finds his true love and someone for him to shower his love on. He's put through so much and I couldn't help but like him, faults and all.
I found the writing style slightly stagnated and it lacked a certain flow, which would have earned it a higher star rating from me. I also felt that it needed to be re-edited as I came across quite a few spelling and grammatical errors.
Overall, there is the basis for a really sweet story here and if you're not bothered by the sort if errors I've mentioned, then you'll probably really enjoy it.

First of all this is a book that you are going to love and won't be able to put down. Im in love with ( mr hot ) Evan. He is just every girls dream man if that's possible everything in one package This story is very emotional so much it kinda raw but also very sexy. The sexy parts bind this book together .I just got so into it emotionally it Sometimes Made me angry upset I wanted to jump through the book and strangle Tatum like really kill her when you read you will understand my frustration . lol..
The story is one of real meaning finding love your soul mate the one you need no matter what .
Tatum a girl in love with her brothers best friend ( we have all had these kinda moment I from what I remember nothing good comes from this lol) I just didn't know what to think about her character I think we had a love , hate relationship . Overall, I would have to rate this book 5 stars! Go get this book now if your looking for an amazing LOVE STORY!

I feel completely in love with this book! I want to read all of them now! I started reading this about 2 hours ago and I could not put it down! I love Evan and Tatum's story. There are so many things that keep them apart and as Evan says they are on "Borrowed Time" hence the name of the book. Delisa Lynn's writing always keeps me at the edge of my seat and her imagery makes me feel like I am there with those characters. The other big thing I like about her writing is that the intimate love scenes are not sketchy or vulgar. They are full of the love that the characters feel for one another and that love is real. I could absolutely relate to these characters and the struggle they go through throughout the story. I would absolutely recommend this book to others, and if you want a great love story, this is it! Please read this book. Lynn has another home run with this great story!

Well Evan... I gotta say you probably have the worst luck in the love dept. I have read! Now granted I know that you love Lila but baby, she was confused, and dumb ..same with Tatum! I fell in love with you in Embracing Love and even more in Borrowed. Love is a tricky thing, especially when the one person you have loved most of your life is being hurt by someone else. It's a tug of war of emotions.. I think Evan will always love Lila. I loved Evan's POV! I just wanted to hold him and tell him I'll be his... then I remember I would be just Lila.. except the hubby wouldn't be like Liam.. and we would be in BIG trouble! LOL I love the Embracing series and can't wait for Embracing Us coming out in March! I give Borrowed 5 stars! ~Chris

First, this review is solely my opinion.I despise cheating in any type of story I read. It will only go down hill from there for me. Secondly, I don't like books with a lot of sex or foul language.
I didn't like the first book but I had to find out what happened with Evan and Lila and wanted to see where this book would lead. Basically, this is a novella written in Evans POV.

this is Evan's side of the story and what happens! I loved this book just as much as the first one! I cried, laughed and over all thought it was amazing!! Delisa has done it again with her amazing talent!! Cannot wait to read the next book!

I’m not really sure were to start with this book review. I’ve mixed feelings about the entire thing, while I didn’t hate it, I didn’t exactly love it either, I think it’s fallen into my okay shelf and is likely to stay there.

I was gifted book #3 from the Author for an honest review
so i purchased book 1 & 2 so I didn't miss anything in the story.
This is a novella in Evan's POV.
I loved Evan, at times I wanted to cry for him, he is so not lucky in the love department.
Again I wanted to give this book a higher rating.
It is a great story. And it is filled with great characters.
But i didn't feel the story flowing and it felt a little stagnant to me.
This Author is very talented and has a great mind to put all this together, but it just wasn't for me. You might feel differently, give it a try.

Amazing and touching this is a love story that you will wan to have on your shelf to pick up time and time again. Evan is smoldering in this book and you will definitely be drawn to his personality and heart. Having fallen in love with Lila, in the first book of this series and then losing her, you were left wondering what would happen to him. This is his story. Finding his true heart is a long rode of heart ache and betrayal but when he final finds Tatum and realizes that she is what true love is..... You will be cheering for joy!

I received this ARC for an honest review.
First of all this is a book that you can't put down. I absolutely loved Evan. He is just every girls dream man. This story is very emotional and very sexy. I loved them parts in this story! I just got so into it emotionally. Some times I wanted to jump through the book and strangle Tatum, which is the girl in this story. She just kept pissing me off. lol.. Anyways, she was in love with her brothers best friend. Some things she did were just so annoying. But other parts about her were amazing. I just didn't know what to think about her character. Overall, I would have to rate this book 5 stars! Go get this book now if your looking for an amazing LOVE STORY!

I received a copy of this book for my honest review for Sweet N Sassy Book a Holics.
This story is written mainly from Evans point of view. It's basically the first book repeated from another's point of view! I just didn't feel the need for this book at all. I felt like I was re-reading the entire thing again!
We do find things out that wasn't in the first book, as we meet Tatum. I really like Tatum and felt like punching her stupid boyfriend for her!
There just seems like too much going on in this book! I couldn't follow the story properly and a lot of dis jointed sentences, it just didn't flow at all!

What can I say about this book? I loved Evan from the first book and thought he got the raw deal but it turns out that he didn't really. Evan is my favorite character out of all Delisa's books. He is the most down to earth gorgeous man. This is Evan's story. I'm so glad that things worked out for him after losing his love to another man. Him and Tatum have been friends from the beginning but things have a way of changing their lives. He went to New York for school and she stayed home. It's funny how fate steps in and takes over. I love everything about this book.

EVAN MARTIN!!!!!
He's the Book boyfriend of the year in my opinion. There are a million reasons why I loved this series. Evan is at the top of the list. He's not perfect, which for a book boyfriend is rare..lol. He's raw and so real. The poor got his heart stomped on time and time again Yet at the end of the day he got EVERYTHING he deserved.
I also LOVED Tatum's POV. We were given a glimpse in the 2nd book about what she went through with Thayer, but in this book we heard everything....Delisa really did an amazing job

this is Evan's side of the story and what happens! I loved this book just as much as the first one! I cried, laughed and over all thought it was amazing!! Delisa has done it again with her amazing talent!! Cannot wait to read the next book!
