Embracing Us
Life was perfect.
Lila Carls-Ellis had a perfect life, an amazing husband, beautiful twin girls, and a job she had always dreamed of. But, in the back of her mind, there was still that one person from college that she thought about, the only other man she ever loved.
While flying to New York for a friend’s wedding, she was trying her best not to run into her old flame. But low and behold, the one person she was trying to avoid coincidently was the first face she saw once landing in New York. Seeing Evan brought back so many memories, and seeing him with his ex-girlfriend, made her need his attention even more. After much thought, she decided to visit him. Just a friendly visit turned into dinner, drinks, and a night of passion that she had yearned for since leaving him four years ago.
Liam Ellis loved his family more than anything and would protect them no matter the cost. He knew his wife had a secret, but he wanted her to tell him when she was ready. No matter what may or may not have happened, he was devoted to standing by her side. All while wondering in the back of his mind what forced her to make that decision that could possibly destroy their future.
There was so much she needed and wanted to tell her husband, but getting the courage to do so was the hardest part. Will this change everything for Lila and her husband Liam? And what part does Evan play in all of this? No one knew that one night could change the course of everything.

Embracing Us starts off where Borrowed ended eventhough we got an update on Lila's condition at the end of "Borrowed we didn't actually find out what actually happened. So I'm liking the way we've picked up and carried on .
So we get to find out what happened to Lila on the plane and her fight for survival and coming out of her coma. Liam must really love her to put up with her indiscretions and the consequences of them.He is one in a million and my heart breaks for him.He harbours no ill feeling towards Evan but for the sake of his marriage he makes it clear to Lila that he is a part of her past now.
Ashton ♥ what a wonderful and loving father ! Despite his wife's addiction and lack of mothering skills he never bad mouths her in front of their son which says alot about the man he is ! Fortunately he has a good support system with Miss Sophia ,Liam and his friends♥
Lila has to come clean with Liam and her time in New York. Liam has his suspicions though but he doesn't say anythong to her. Lila has to get her act together and appreciate Liam, his love and their life together! !
I'm glad Liam has Ashton to confide in. He may come across as strong but on the inside he's shattered ,heart broken :'( and emotionally drained! He may have had his suspicions but when it becomes a reality when Lila eventually tells him my heart just breaks for him.
Good grief these folk really have a lot going on! Lila and Liam get into a heated argument and things are said in hurt and in the heat of the moment which leaves Lila MIA !
Everyone is in a tizz looking for her and I find myself rather annoyed with Lila :/ the least she can do is call and let someone know sge is safe and what was she thinking taking Ashton's boy on her little trip !?! Kade comes to Liam and Ashton's aid and they find her .
Everyone and everything seem to be on track again. Wedding planning for Brody and Nicki is underway,Tatum abd Evan are expecting, Ashton finally gives Christa the boot ( and gets custody of AJ) aftet dealers statt shiwing up at the house ! Finally dad snd don son can start afresh♥ I'm hoping he finds a good woman.
It would serm we're having a pregnant fairy wedding! Yup all 3 ladies ,Tatum ,Nicki and Lila have buns in the ovens ! That means Nicki is cancer free !
Baby Grayson is about to arrive and I've got a real soft spot for Tatum♥I have from the very start . Lila has played 2 very good men but she's come to realise what she had in Liam ♥
A beautifully ending to a beautiful book! What I do want to add though .... damn Lila you're one fertile woman !

What a wonderful ending to Liam and Lila's story. I loved how Delisa introduced the other character, who will have there own books. We see a different side of Ashton, I have to say, he's not a bad guy. We follow Liam and Lila on their journey to overcome her past mistakes, the arrival of baby number three and all the questions that surround her or him..

We find ourselves back with Lila and Liam in the 3rd instalment of the Embracing series and dealing with the aftermath of yet another plane crash and Lila's pregnancy. I enjoyed both Liam and Evans characters from the previous books, but am not a great fan of Lila's at all. You can forgive a mistake - once, but cheating on more than one occasion is a choice. I don't doubt her love for both men and was glad that she eventually came clean with Liam about Evan and the possibility of the baby not being his but her reaction to Liam's anger! really?
While Liam has his suspicions he is determined to hold onto Lila and his family regardless and the baby will be his. This brings up my favourite paragraph in the book "Lila, I don't what to know. I don't want the test done. He is mine baby. I know he is mine. You are mine and therefore he is mine. Please don't have it done. I cant stand the thought of you or baby bean being with him. Ever" Selfish? perhaps, but he is a man grasping to hold onto his family.
We also get to see more of Ashton in this story and it was nice to see him grown up and being responsible as he struggles to deal with a crack addict wife and be a good Dad to his son. We also see Evan finally happy with Tatum, able to finally move on from Lila with the girl he has loved since school.
That all said, the writing was still not great. I actually had this down as a 2 star read and only gave an extra one for the above paragraph and the Epilogue, it was the only well written part of the book. There are lots of long strings of dialogue from each character, some are paragraphs long. Spelling mistakes, incorrect words used, missing words and the language is terrible. Im not sure if the author intends to but the characters sound like they are speaking ghetto. On top of that the descriptions and conversation during the sex scenes is really cliché. I felt embarrassed for the characters and what they were saying in the throes of passion.

Lia and Liam have to deal with a lot of drama and stress in this story. I'm sorry but I just hate Lia for everything she's done to the two men in her life that love her. I just don't feel any empathy for her, she brought this on herself and deserves to suffer!
I want to take Liam and give him a huge hug, the poor man is a saint for putting up with his wife. If I was him I wouldn't be so forgiving!
Nikki and Brody have their own little drama in this story my heart was breaking for the couple! I'd really like to see more of them in their own story!
This story is still a little miss mashed and hard to follow. I feel it needs work still and would love to read a re-write!

Their saga could be a made for TV movie… This book is full of lies, betrayal, love, babies, weddings…It has it all. I have had my fill of Lila and am very happy their story has come to a close. I want to smack Liam for putting up with what he did, but I guess when your love is real you will do anything to keep your family.
The book flows good, however there was still a lot of grammatical errors. An editor would help with those errors and make the book come together better.

I was gifted this book from the Author for an honest review.
This is the continuation of Liam, Evan and Lila's story.
I gave this book 3 stars.
If you don't like cheating books then don't read this book.
Lila has it all, but she doesn't think that she does.
The men in this book are amazing and I loved him.
Her not so much I wanted to smack her over and over again.
This book was very well written and loved the story line from the beginning of book one..
The Author did keep me interested in the things that were happening.
But I found myself not connecting to the story still. I felt like I was an outsider of an outsider watching someone's life play out. When I read a book I am usually so submerged in the book that it is hard to tell if it is real or just a story. I could tell that this was just a story.
BUT all in all I did like the story line and that is why I did give it 3 stars.
Thank you Delisa for your story. I did enjoy reading it. I am not sure if i will continue on with this series or not. But I think you should give it a chance and figure out for yourself if you like it or not the story line is worth it.

June 26, 2014This is the conclusion of Liam and Lila's story. They got married and had twins girls but Lila goes to NY for a wedding and has a moment of weakness with Evan. She is now pregnant. She has no idea what to do but knows she has to tell her husband the truth about it. He already knows that something might have happened. She has all this guilt over it, whether or not to tell him. she finally comes clean and the decide not to tell Evan about it until after the baby is born. Plans have a way of working out in ways none of them expected. This book is really good and has a happy ending for everyone.

Embracing Us is a beautiful conclusion to Lila and Liam´s story.
In this book we see Lila and Liam moving forward after her mistake. We see how that has influenced their relationship.
Delisa´s writing style has definitely improved since the first book. She did a great job with this book and making me pulled in more and more as the story progressed.

While i liked this one, thought that there were some things the main characters definitely could have done differently or better. The author does need to invest in an editor though because there was definitely places that brought me out of the story just due to editing issues.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review, for Sweet N Sassy Book a Holics.
This is the third book in the series and by far the best I think!
Lia and Liam have to deal with a lot of drama and stress in this story. I'm sorry but I just hate Lia for everything she's done to the two men in her life that love her. I just don't feel any empathy for her, she brought this on herself and deserves to suffer!
I want to take Liam and give him a huge hug, the poor man is a saint for putting up with his wife. If I was him I wouldn't be so forgiving!
Nikki and Brody have their own little drama in this story my heart was breaking for the couple! I'd really like to see more of them in their own story!

I liked the story and the idea behind the whole series, but the writing was honestly atrocious. The grammar and punctuation errors were distracting, to the point that I'm surprised I even finished the series.
