WOW so much more than I expected. Tissues required.

I was scrolling through a list of my books and saw Tears Of Endurance by D G Torrens. I am constantly surprised with the free books I pick up…and this one blew my mind. Tissues will be required. I think I had tears in my eyes for the last twenty to twenty five percent of the book. I was heartbroken and want to congratulate D G Torrens on the ability to rip my heart right out of my chest.

I was expecting more suspense, but the romance of Arianna and Ben is the star that shines in the sky and the darkness that brings devastation.

I felt something like this was coming and I could not stop reading because of it. I had to know. I can hardly believe how quickly D G Torrens brought me into their lives. They are characters that made me care about what happened to them. I wanted the fairy tale. I wanted the happy ever after. I don’t know what an author is thinking when they take that away from me…………but, great job D G! You took my heart, ripped it from my chest and stomped on it……..repeatedly.

When a single tear fell from Ben’s eyes, that was the beginning of the end for me.
Before I was done, I had tears streaming down my face, trying to hide it from my hubby. Crying over a book. Crying over a made up story. LOL I did it and I am not ashamed to admit it. Love can be the highest high and the lowest low! Is it the worth the price?

The s sorry line was good

What was hard for me to get past was the often stilted language I felt like I was being lectured. That made it hard for me to stay in the story. I found that very distracting. I it is also a kind of a cliffhanger. I would love to know what happens to Tristan and Arianna just not hard enough to wade through another book.

Tears of Endurance (A Ferria/Fielding Novel Book 1) by the talented D.G Torrens is the first installment of the Ferria/Fielding series and is an explosive, wonderfully written read. Only an author with special skills can pull off a story such as this without distracting the reader with multiple points of view.

Packed with emotion and realism, Tears of Endurance is a compelling tale of second chances: After Arianna Ferria gets jilted by a creep who does a lot more harm than cheating, she meets Ben Fielding, a construction engineer recovering from a near fatal accident, during an art exhibit at her gallery.

Their attraction is instantaneous and makes the reader cheer for them right away, because sometimes failed relationships prevent new ones from flourishing, but not so with these captivating characters.

Ben also has a brother Tristan who’s a photographer, and has had his share of sorrows, but his presence in this story is key to its progression as Arianna and Ben’s relationship unfolds into devotion and love.

I’d suspected several scenarios that could interfere with their new love affair (the sex scenes were tastefully done and satisfying, by the way), but I was unprepared for the climactic ending, as in “I didn’t see that one coming”.

The secrets are eventually revealed, however, between all three main characters. Not that I’ll be doing any spoilers here, but since I found the story touching and emotionally driven, as the author meant it to be, I’ll be moving on to part two in this series, so I guess that says enough.

Five glorious stars for the breathless journey of two lovers doing everything to please each other and alleviate future hurt. Bravo, Ms. Torrens.

"Tears of Endurance" is the second book that I've read and reviewed by talented Author D.G. Torrens and I have a sneaking suspicion it won't be my last. On completion of this novel, I noticed that there is a sequel planned and I definitely do not want to miss out on what happens next in this well-written and refreshing series of events.

Arianna, owner of Freedom Gallery of Contemporary Art, is unexpectedly jilted by her boyfriend Justin. She is in total shock at the realization that he has been having an affair right under her nose. At thirty-six years old and having wasted four years of her life with him, she is reluctant to fall in love again. Justin manages to add salt to the wound by clearing out their joint bank accounts and becoming even more of a thorn in Arianna's side as he walks away with her means of survival.

Ben, a thirty-seven year old successful engineer, has been in the hospital for two months after a near death experience. He fell from some scaffolding on a construction site and needed to be put into a life surviving coma as well as have emergency brain surgery. Dena, his present girlfriend, quickly dumps him as she doesn't want to hang around to see the results of his medical condition. Therefore, Ben is also turned off by love until...after his release from the hospital and on his six month leave of absence from work, he decides he could use a painting on his barren apartment wall.

Cupid manages to find his way into Arianna's and Ben's lives but this is when the tale unfolds with it's many romantic twists and unexpected upsets. Tristan, Ben's older brother is beyond belief in the role he plays in both of their lives. Every true romantic will certainly enjoy how love works its miracles in this easy-to-read and very enjoyable fictional novel! I can't wait to read "Whispers From Heaven" to discover what happens next...

Both Burned: Tears Of Endurance by Dawn Torrens
Ben Fielding, a workaholic is recovering from a work accident that almost took his life, his so called girlfriend left during this time, he thought they had something, but when he needed her the most she fled. Then there's Arianna Ferria who is doing what she dreamed of, owning her own art gallery, also burned by her boyfriend. As Ben is healing he decides to go to Arianna's art gallery. Ben finds Arianna very attractive, he has a bad headache and Arianna comes to his aide. They really hit it off, both falling for each other fast and hard. Ben is keeping a secret from Arianna and his brother Tristan whom is very close to him. Tristan is also falling for Arianna, feeling awful about this he stays away from them as much as possible. Arianna and Tristan have a lot in common. I've said enough! You have to read this book to find out what happens with this trio. I'll tell you I was in tears reading this book! Grab a box of tissues!

4.5 emotionally drained stars!!!
I just want to keep on crying I couldn't help it towards the end of this book my eyes literally watered but I didn't want to get my kindle wet with tears lol.
Good amount of romance not detailed steamy scenes read to many books that had enough so glad I got a break from it...fast paced detailed and organized although it took me a while to finish this since school started again...anyways it had a slow start but since it was the beginning introducing the characters but picked off towards the middle of the book building Ben and Arianna's relationship including Tristan's fascination with Arianna as well..Book 2 will see how Tristan and Arianna are doing with baby Ben have a feeling it's going to be an emotional wreck as well

Tears of Endurance is a wonderful romance drama dealing love, loss and hope. The story begins with a successful young man, Ben, recovering from a severe accident at work. While he’s recovering he meets Arianna, the beautiful owner of an art gallery and they soon fall in love. However, Ben’s brother, Tristan, also falls for her and Ben’s recovery isn’t as complete as it first seems.

This was an extremely moving story, brilliantly told. I can’t wait to read the sequel. If you’re looking for a great read, I highly recommend you get this book!

I have to admit that even though the pace of the book is slow at times, and full of ideological romance, I was in tears by the end. I suspected something was going to happen, and without giving spoilers, I was not wrong.

This is a story about hope against the odds. Love comes in many guises.

Sometimes a story is not about how sensational it is, but about how true to life it can be. Having seen a similar situation happen to a family member, I think stories like these remind us that life is a gift. We need to make the most of it.

A love story which tackles difficult subjects yet the strength of the human heart. It is well written and pulls along the reader, where realistic characters play out the fortunes that are thrown at them.

Full of romance, yes, but like real life, nothing is ever that straightforward.

After reading the reviews I downloaded this book, how sorry I was. Five minutes in and I could figure out this tired old story that's been done for years and years. Add insult to injury, this author may think she's Einstein, but I have never seen part 2 in a series selling for $4.19. Most of the time there are offers for boxed sets for half this price or less.

Don't waste your time.

***** When Life Throws you a Curve Ball

What happens when you are unexpectedly deceived by love? Both Ariana and Ben certainly know about that. Ariana’s boyfriend has not only dumped her recently, he’s also cleaned her out financially. She owns an art gallery and after being deserted in the romance department, she is now determined to pick herself up and carry on. Her beautifully renovated townhouse in a small town in England is her joy and her savior. Vivid descriptions of this lovely treasure shows her determination to create something of her own, as well as cater to her highly artistic taste. Still, although she feels lucky she can count on her best friend and confidante, Casey, she is lonely and feels the void.

Ben, a successful engineer, has been betrayed by love as well. After a near fatal scaffolding accident, as he lies in the hospital during an induced coma, his girlfriend just up and leaves him. Finally released by the hospital, he returns home to his dog, Charlie, and relies on his brother, Tristan, who has always been his rock. But Ben does not get away unscathed. He also goes through physical and emotional changes. The author presents a well-researched insight into what happens when someone has to deal with such a serious accident. PTSD, horrific nightmares, pain, and insecurity are the main issues, and returning to a normal dating life can easily seem impossible.

But as it turns out, it isn’t. Ben, who, before his accident, had always worked 24/7, now, under doctor’s orders, tries to calm down. When he decides to check out a local art gallery’s evening event, he meets the owner, Ariana, and sparks fly––big time. Love and a true connection make both of them ecstatic, and despite his nightmares and her relationship history, they seem well on their way to sheer happiness. But will they achieve that? Once again, Torrens throws a curve ball, and it’s a doozy! Highly recommend this very well written book!

Tears of Endurance is a poignant tale about a love triangle set in the British Isles. Arianna Ferria is a thirty-something single woman who owns a gallery. At the beginning of the novel, her lover and housemate of several years suddenly leaves her for another woman, cleaning out her bank accounts in the process. Heartbroken and facing financial difficulties, Arianna puts all her eggs into one basket – a showing of a local artist’s work. If this exhibit is successful, hopefully, she can climb out of financial ruin. Ben is a structural engineer and partner in an international firm who is recovering from a near-fatal accident on a job site. While recuperating in the hospital, his girlfriend dumps him, leaving him once again alone. Discharged and on leave from his job responsibilities, he sees an ad for Arianna’s show and decides to attend. Tristan is Ben’s older brother whose girlfriend also decides to take a powder. A romance ensues between Arianna and Ben after they meet at the gallery, but there are bumps in the road ahead and the reader needs to be sure to have a box of tissues handy!

How the lives of these three characters intersect forms the core of the novel. The love affair between Arianna and Ben is beautifully portrayed as is the unrequited love Tristan develops for his brother’s girl. Tears of Endurance is highly recommended for romance-a-holics and readers who enjoy books set in the British Isles.

If you're in the mood for a heartfelt, highly charged emotional romance, this is it!

Just when it looks like Arianna Ferria and Ben Fielding have found their 'forever love' a devastating twist of fate irrevocably leaves its mark on their happiness.

Adding to the tension, Tristan, Ben's brother holds a deeply rooted secret, which he must painfully push out of his mind.

Get out the tissues because this romance has the attraction, ecstasy, heartache and joy one looks for in a great romance. I loved reading "Tears of Endurance" and Highly Recommend.

Flat

A beautiful gallery owner draws the attention of two brothers. She falls in love with one but has an attraction to the other. When tragedy strikes she must regroup and review her feelings.

This would have been a tear jerker but the delivery is flat and colorless. All the characters sound alike. The good ones are just oh so good and noble it is rather sickening. Too much unnecessary detail. But the style fails to generate any emotion.

It seems that whenever things start to go right for Ben Fielding and Arianna Ferria, something whacks them in the face. Nevertheless, they persist and fall in love—a love that will last through life and death. Or will it? Torrens leaves the reader hanging at the end of this first in the Ferria/Fielding series, the chance for unexpected happiness only hinted at. Start with Tears of Endurance, but be sure to have Book 2, Whispers from Heaven, on the shelf too!

Intriguing book!!

This was the first romance novel I read and I enjoyed it. I'm not a fan of smut or spice and this book had neither. I found the book to be enjoyable and I loved the characters. I thought that it had it's good moments and sad moments. Overall it was a good read that held my attention. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to believe in love and good people again.

Love isn’t always a bed of roses.

Arianna, owner of Freedom Gallery of Contemporary Art, is unexpectedly jilted by her longtime boyfriend Justin. She is in total shock when she finds he had been having an affair on the side. He also managed to clean out both of her bank accounts, which she had been foolish enough to add his name to. She is bitter and feels she will never trust another another man.
Ben is a thirty-seven year old successful engineer, who fell several stories when the scaffolding failed while he was out checking a construction site they had going. He was injured so badly that he had to be placed in a coma for two months plus emergency brain surgery. His present girlfriend ran out on him because she was worried she might be forced to be his caregiver so she just disappeared with no explanation. This was a shock to Ben, never considering that she would not be his future. Ben is turned off by love, but over the two months following the coma, he has such terrible headaches that it takes hours of pain killers so that he can stand them. Ben was allowed a six-months leave of absence while he heals and lives in the company’s lovely apartment. Ben sees the ad about the paintings for show at Arianna’s gallery and decides he’d see if he could find a painting for himself.
Ben and Arianna immediately find themselves attracted to each hour the moment they met each other at the gallery showing. Ben bought a painting and they began to see each other continuously. They each felt that they had experienced such love before and they became passionate lovers. Ben never told Arianna about his past health problems. Ben’s brother Tristan, whose girlfriend had been killed in a car accident, also fell immediately in love Arianna the first moment they met, but he never let Arianna or Ben know.
Eventually Arianna gets pregnant and Ben is delighted, but in the meantime disappointing events intrude in their lives, causing Arianna, Ben and Tristan to draw closer as a family to face a possibly devastating future. This is a nice love story, but often the same colorful phrases are used to describe their love or the events passing. It may be because this is an English author and her usual form of English, but at time the story line drags because of so much explanations.
Although this hasn’t been the best romance I have read and it had many of the usual sad and upsetting events found in romances, it is entertaining and has its own emotional appeal.

Not Really My Kind of Romantic Drama, But Overall The Story Was Well Structured and Planned...

"Tears of Endurance" is one of the book that really spiked my interest to read the contemporary romance genre. The author, DG Torrens displayed great talent writing skills for contemporary romance. As I was reading from pages to pages, I noticed that the main character, Arianna displayed strong personality when it comes to love. She is just as determined and headstrong as the character, Rose in the movie Titanic directed by James Cameron. Of course, the character Arianna and Rose is totally two different personalities, but these women displayed the courage to love again despite setbacks in relationships.

There are lots of twists and turns in this story when I read chapter 4 as Arianna drank in a bar alone recollecting those memories of love, family, and perfect relationship and then suddenly tears started to roll down when she started to recall of Justin's cheating deeds. As I read the rest of the chapters, I began to pity Arianna... Without, giving away too much, why will I pity her despite the fact that I am a science fiction guy. You may want to read on to find out...

Overall, this story was well structured and planned... Great job DG...

Arianna's boyfriend has run off with another woman and the contents of her bank account. Ben's girlfriend decided she didn't want to play nurse and left him while he was in hospital in a coma, and Tristan (Ben's brother) has thrown out his serial-cheater girlfriend. All three have sworn off love. Until Ben and Arianna meet and fall for one another. Tristan also falls for her but he keeps this to himself.
The couple are deeply in love and begin to plan their future together but fate intervenes with devastating consequences.
I found the dialogue very formal and unnatural but, other than that, it's an enjoyable read.

It did not take long to fall in love with Ben & Arianna! The touching story of love makes my heart smile. Did however add some unexpected turns...
