There are no words to explain just how much I loved this book. This whole series has been amazing.Ara herself tells David a big secret and all hell breaks loose. We see a differant David here, dark and very angry. You will see freindships tested. You will also see Ara start to grow up and except her future.I shed plenty of tears in this book.It was sad to see my favorite couple so broken. All the characters in this book seem to have so much more to say now.Angie did an awesome job with this book.I did not want it to end.So many questions are answered. You will find yourself saying oh my god i always wondered about that...Each book just gets better and better. Its very hard to write a review with out giving any spoliers, because I just want to scream at the world what a great book this was. When you think you have everything all figured out,you will see your wrong.Angie knows how to rock our world. In all honesty Lies In Blood was the best so far.I cant wait to see whats next.Even the parts where i cried Angie has a way to make you see, everything just makes scence, this is how it should be.Loving the idea we still get more about all these characters. They are ALL apart of my heart.Do yourself a favor...buy this book and buckle up.You in for on hell of a ride!!

DNF I read until 80% and im tired of the agenda writing with Davids character if you want Ara with Jason do it and stop killing Davids character and writing him hateful and say Ara is gonna be with Jason because he treated her like shit. It was also written like he was wrong for feeling that way after she slept with his brother and she aint sorry for it either. Everybody thinks David is wrong for being upset I am sorry but I wont feel that way no matter what is being wrote. I cant believe there is is going to be another book to tell what more Ar/Jason story smh. I actually went back and finished the story and I am even more disgusted with the outcome trying to make this emily/David connection so its looks better for Ara. But that makes no sense because David didnt even know Ara at the time and its not the same as her sleeping with his brother and now looks like she ready to marry him. I can believe everybody is giving this book 5 stars they mess be Jason fans because I dont see it. I didnt learn anything because all the things they thought were true werent but then you got mother nature talking in riddles how is one man your soulmate lets make it both of them and then your destined to be with the other on. Im tired of the circles get to the point of the story we didnt need 5 books to tell us exactly nothing. I hate stories that try to sway the reader to like the couple they want by destorying the couple she started with for no reason.

I need to process this... I think... I um, well... wow... I'm not sure where to even begin on this one. It was definitely a 4.5 star read for me. The author stated that she had some trouble connecting with Ara and David and I think it showed in this book. David took such a far departure from the man that we fell in love with that at times I was not sure if I was going to be able to continue the book. I did feel as some readers stated that it felt like we were being pushed to want Ara with Jason and it did not feel right the way it was being done. However, what did take place in this book and the consequences of some of those actions was outstanding. I prefer a book to make me uncomfortable and angry and upset rather than for it to stick to the cookie cutter formula of doing things. This one hurt and if you're picking it up after reading #3... it's going to both be better and worse than you thought... I love this series and cannot wait to see how the last two books wrap things up. We've been with these characters for so long and loved them for so long that it is most definitely bitter sweet knowing that the end is upon us.

Beware of spoilers.
I was very surprised with this entire book. It was clear Ara would tell David about sleeping with Jason, but I never expected his response. It is clear that he flipped his compassion switch due to his pain. But he his so horrible to Ara. It makes me wonder if he was just trying to hurt her our if he said everything men secretly want to say. I was not impressed with Mike in this book. The sorry about him wanting to be a teacher was nice but then everything about him fell apart. Mega twist with Drake! It was great to see Ara taking initiative but never saw the Lilith soul angle coming. The dagger being something different was obvious once Jason noticed the paper and ink. I knew there was something about Morgaine, the name always seemed so close to Morgana. Love the Eve apparition! Can't wait for Ara to sort that out. And total shock that the mother goddess says Jason is the soulmate, but there was something about them being two halves of a whole that makes me think Ara needs them both. And lastly I can't believe David lied about Emily! Marking her is a big deal even if he was ashamed.

This 4th book in the Dark Secrets series is fantastic. There are so many more twists to the story, some I expected, and some I really didn't.
Ara and David grow to fit into their new roles as Queen and King, betrayals are learned, hearts are broken, traitors are discovered, new trusts are formed and many are tested. We see a whole new side to some of the characters, some very surprising and heartbreaking, and some simply growing into their new lives. Hidden secrets are discovered, and what we thought was the story turns into something completely different, completely unexpected.
I'm completely in love with this series, with the characters- good and bad, and with the story as a whole. I love how real the characters are, how true they stay to themselves, how their pasts so easily shine through into their characters and emotions. I love that the characters we think we should love, and hate, are sometimes so inconsistent, leaving us loving a character one minute and hating them the next. I love the emotion in these books, how raw and true and real it is. The reactions of the characters to the situations is always spot on to exactly how I can see someone reacting, though I guess in their world, some of the consequences are more horrible than I could have ever imagined. Just proof of the fantastic mind behind these books.
And I'll be patiently (trying to) awaiting the next and final book!

As always, I was not disappointed by Miss Hudson's latest creation. As an avid reader and a fan of the series "Dark Secrets", I was completely in love with this book. I fell in love with the characters in book one and have enjoyed seeing them develop to this point. This book had continued to keep me captivated and the way Miss Hudson's story unfolds has left me wanting to know how it will continue into the next book. I would definitely recommend this book and the series to readers., You will not be disappointed. The storyline will keep everyone in suspense and you continue to fall in love with the characters. I sat down and could barely stop reading, and finished it in one day and can't wait till the next book!

I loved it! I cannot believe the range of emotions I felt reading this book, I was hooked from the second I picked it up. Completely addictive, engaging, well written and just brilliant. I spent a large part of previous books wanting to shake Ara for one reason or another, but I loved just being part of her 'journey' in this one, and what a journey, the lies, the half truths - wow! I'm only gutted that I now have to wait until next year for the next one, I just need to know how it all ends and what happens to the characters.

Once again A.M. Hudson does a wonderful job at making the reader want to know what happens next. Although I would have preferred a different ending or a more in-depth ending I have to say the series was nicely wrapped up. The author also left room if she chose to continue with another book. I know I can pick endless questions from this one. I couldn't put it down and really wish it had an epilogue to see how things really "end"... A must read for all followers of the series.

The only bad part of this book is that it ends!! I could read about them for forever!! This book answers SO many questions and leaves you with a few more. Out of all of them I had the hardest time putting this one down. A MUST read for everyone who has enjoyed the first three. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Angie!!!

Some spoilers Dang I know when a book is really good when I finish it in less than 2 days. Wish i could write them like I read them but try as I may I'm not a writer. The books was great as always. So many lies finally came to light as they tend to do secrets usually don't stay hidden just depends on how long it takes for the truth to be revealed. I knew I was gonna hate the ending since it ended with an argument between David and Ara. I hate how he was treating her when he found out she betrayed him with Jason but damn he did not have to be so cruel or say he disown his child. Drake was and is a piece of work to mastermind the whole contract. It also cruel that Ara loves both guys and they both have her as a soulmate that just crazy and weird it doesn't compute in my mind. I've never believed or understood how someone could be in love with more than one person at a time like Mormons having more than one wife and stuff. Just weird and a bit creepy to see group marriage type stuff. I knew David had slept with Emily just thought it been after she had turned when they spend so much time alone together did not think he did it before meeting Ara. Still confused about the whole golden apple thing and how Mother Nature said Jason was the answer and she was destined to be with him and it would help save David. That whole conversation just confused me. One gross thing is that Ara's child is drake niece yet her soul is his wife that died and Ara's soul belongs to Lilith crazy confusing. I totally feel lose in the loop and now have to wait painfully long until the final book comes out but I totally glad this one ended up not being the end.

Just like the last three books in this series I couldn't put it down. The author gave all the characters a lot of different roles and emotions to follow thru out the whole book. In the book you see another side to some of them that maybe you wouldn't expect from the recent books and it kept me captivated to read on. Ara may have made some mistakes, but in the end it may have all been been worth it to learn what she really needs or wants to do! I thought the ending was left off perfectly, left me to my imagination, but not wanting to wait for the next one to come out!
I would definitely recommend this book and the whole series to anyone who wants to read a great story, A.M. Hudson is a fantastic writer!

Wow! A.M. Hudson has written another amazing book. Being an avid fan of the Dark Secrets Series, I was truly pleased with "Lies in Blood". There are so many truths revealed & secrets hidden, I never wanted to stop at the end of a chapter. In this book we see Ara grow up a little as she and David step into their role of the King & Queen. She is no longer this "little girl" that everyone still sees her as. And as for David - we see a whole new side to him that I never expected to see. There were so many emotions I felt with this book. One minute I would be excited and laughing out loud, and the next, without realizing it, tears would begin to fall. Absolutely an amazing book. I can't wait to read the next one!

I really did love this book. I've been addicted to the series since the very first chapter of dark series. At the end of mark of betrayal i was left with so many questions, that I had doubts as to whether even half of them would be answered. The talent demonstrated in these books never fails to amaze me. Although the chapters proved to be quiet long I prefer that to lack of detail. Didn't think it to be possible but I think I love the series even more now. I received a free copy of this book so I could review it before release. This review is my honest and unbiased opinion of this book, without influence from the author or the free copy I received. I fully intend to read the whole series again, right after I post this.

First of all, A.M. Hudson, you have outdone yourself on this book. I love the series in general, but wow, this one went above and beyond the others.
This book had me in knots. I laughed, sniffled, and had it not been read on my phone, I would have thrown it against the wall. Lol I can honestly say this one is my favorite so far in the series.
Secrets, lies, halftruths...
They say everything comes out in the wash, and its better to know the truth. What happens when all you have know are lies? The road this book took me on the last few days shows what could happen.

I was definitely NOT disappointed with the continuation of this series. I love the pain, struggles, love & growth that characters have endured and developed from book #1 until now. I had a hard time putting this book down when it was time to go to work and found myself engrossed into the wee hours of the morning. Positively gripping and heart wrenching....I will await with great anticipation for the next book and most likely books from A.M. Hudson!

I was very pleased with this book on many levels. Many questions have been answered, but I am still left wanting more!! I can not wait for the final installment of the series to see if any of my speculations are true!! If you have not yet started this series, I highly recommend you do! A.M. Hudson has a gift for writing characters so that you feel that they are real. Her readers can relate to the character's feelings and actions. As her story evolves, her characters do as well!

I absolutely loved this book and could not put it down once I started reading. I felt the emotions the characters were feeling as I read. Ara and David's relationship drew me in from the beginning of the series and I felt every emotion they did as I read. I laughed, cried & got angry right along with them. The twists and turns definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. So many questions were finally answered and I cannot wait to see what Miss. Hudson throws at us in the next book.

It answered many questions that I had after Mark of Betrayal. I was excited to see ara's character grow more and more. I can not wait to read the next book.

This book just falls right in place with Hudson's fabulous writing and ability to paint the story right in front of you. My heart broke for Ara on several occasions. I felt the pain of the characters, their happiness, their awkward moments, etc. The witty banter had me literally laughing out loud. What I like the most is that you don't know which direction the author will go with her books. You think one thing, then she turns around and blows your mind! Looking forward to book 5 and what comes next!

Well done AM Hudson on an excellent story, i eagerly await and also dread the release of Echoes & Silence as i just don't want this series to come to an end xx
