Valuable History of the English Colonies

This pre-1776 period is one that, in my opinion, is under researched and underappreciated. This book, while not the deepest academic tome, discusses the founding of each colony as well as an overview leading through the French & Indian war and British domination of the Eastern seaboard. A good read as an intro text to the 1607-1763 period.

Great

This book taught me more than I learned in history classes in school. A very good read. I enjoyed it.

Enjoyed this history of the thirteen colonies before they united into States. Author Reginald W. Jeffery gives a British perspective in this 1908 work. The disunity of the colonies with each other over the previous 200 years was something about which I knew nothing. Great book.
