Frank and Joe are working on a new case...and it just might blow them away!
The exclusive Billington Resort in Phoenix, Arizona has two high-profile events on Saturday: a vintage car auction and a celebrity wedding. They also have something they didn't sign up for: a bomb threat. Frank and Joe have just eight hours to find the bad guys and the bomb. If they fail to do so by 3:00 PM, the entire resort will be blown to bits.
Franklin W. Dixon is the pen name used by a variety of different authors who were part of a team that wrote The Hardy Boys novels for the Stratemeyer Syndicate (now owned by Simon & Schuster). Dixon was also the writer attributed for the Ted Scott Flying Stories series, published by Grosset & Dunlap. Canadian author Leslie McFarlane is believed to have written the first sixteen Hardy Boys books, but worked to a detailed plot and character outline for each story. The outlines are believed to have originated with Edward Stratemeyer, with later books outlined by his daughters Edna C. Squier and Harriet Stratemeyer Adams. Edward and Harriet also edited all books in the series through the mid-1960s. Other writers of the original books include MacFarlane's wife Amy, John Button, Andrew E. Svenson, and Adams herself; most of the outlines were done by Adams and Svenson. A number of other writers and editors were recruited to revise the outlines and update the texts in line with a more modern sensibility, starting in the late 1950s. The principal author for the Ted Scott books was John W. Duffield.
Okay, so the first thing I noticed about this book is that almost the entire story takes place in the span of eight hours. That's an awful lot of action in a relatively short amount of time.
Frank seemed a little more concerned than usual for his younger brother's well-being. Not that it's a bad thing. It's just something I noticed.
What kind of a crazy person thinks that the only way to get people to care about the environment is by blowing stuff up?! Seriously! I care about the environment, too, but you don't see me going around blowing up buildings and cars that are harmful to the ecosystem! I mean come on.
Anyway, this book was pretty good. Now, on to the next one that I haven't read/written a review for yet!
I liked this one a little better. They get hurt but not almost losing their lives. They do dumb things but the dangers aren't almost dying from sky diving or jumping from plane without a chute.

When I first read Hardy Boys, I think I was in class 5, I had such a crush on Frank Hardy. I liked the brainy one over the brawny one and that sums up my first impression of Hardy Boys. In their late teens, Frank and Joe Hardy take after their detective father Fenton Hardy. Frank is the older of the two and has more breakthroughs in the cases because he is the brainy one. Joe is the younger brother who more often than not is useful when things get hot and they need to fight their way out. Like Nancy Drew, the books in the The Hardy Boys series re written by ghostwriters under the collective pseudonym Franklin W. Dixon. And yes, the earlier books were better than the latter ones.
The Hardy boys under brother Blown Away Frank and Joe Hardy is two brothers agent at ATAC. There investigation case on Billington resort. Jake Beller and Ella was going married in the resort. Jake Beller is real estate developers and reality television star. Henry Peterson how is the owner of M &P auction. The major character of the book. They reach to resort start collect the inform from resort by time introduction the character. The create suspect profile too.. After eight hours find bomb.. Totally I enjoy the book..most I like adventurous and triller stories...like get the clues and twist..joe Hardy and Frank are two awesome guys...
really cool, short story for a change. i really loved the character of joe! it had a few boring parts in it, but the ending was so good that really deserved five stars.
Blown Away (Hardy Boys) is an action packed book written by Franklin W. Dixon. People like Jake Beller and Ashley McGill are prime suspects in an effort to get to the bottom of a bomb threat. 2 young boys are sent undercover to find out why there is a bomb threat and what to do with it. After many short engagements the boys find the source of the problem and deal with it.
My interest in cars and weaponry brought me to this action novel. It was a bit short and below my standards but I still enjoyed reading it. I liked how it immersed me into the action packed pursuits and thrilling close calls.
I would recommend this book for less experienced readers who enjoy action films and novels. They would enjoy this book because the entire time is undercover boys pursuing the lead of a bomb threat one engagement at a time.
I like this new series, although it is very different from the original. This book had them dealing with an eco-terrorist bomb threat at a car show/wedding.
