Good, simple, and not overambitious. A quick read on the basics of clicker training for cats. One thing I might have appreciated would be something on balancing treats/rewards for the cats with their normal nutritional plan or schedule, but in general this was a really good overview.

I was a skeptic when I purchased this one, but now I'm a believer. I have three felines -- one cranky, old girl who doesn't want to do any tricks and two frisky felines who have been greatly entertained by this book so far. The instructions are easy to understand and the training is effective. You really can teach your cat to do tricks in 10 minutes. I recommend this book for any cat lover. Your cat can learn to come, stay, jump, shake paws, twirl, and stand up in no time! And there's more. Who wouldn't love a cat that could play dead and roll over or go for a walk on a leash? You have to get this book.

Good step-by-step starter, though I would replace the recommended negative reinforce (hissing at your cat or squirting them with water) in the "Oh, Behave!" chapter with positive reinforcement (rewarding good behavior) or redirection (hey look over there!).

I know. Cat training. An oxymoron, like military intelligence, you're thinking. But you'd be wrong.
My cat Milo can sit, give a paw, jump, twirl, and rear up on his hind legs after two weeks - and he
loves it. That's because he gets the equivalent of kitty crack when he performs. But we're all happy.

I have to buy a clicker before I can attempt any of the "tricks," but I think my cats will be very successful.

I haven't tried out the training in this book but it looks fantastic. The book was easy to read. I hope to try out some of the training on my cat.

So excited! Getting 2 kittens :D.
I got 4 cat books, but this is the one that seemed best and will be my main guide.
