4-4.5 stars out of 5. I am not Jewish but I still found the points in this book to be a welcome reframing to the way we think about love, romance, and relationships. I am thankful my therapist for recommended it to me, and plan to share with my spiritual or religious friends who are also struggling with the way our current society views and treats dating, marriage, sex, romance, love, etc.
Read on the recommendation of the Rabbi here at Yakota Air Base. Excellent read I wish I had read at least a decade ago, if not longer. Definitely has its roots in Judaism; however, I think it could be extrapolated to non-Jews as well.
I really liked this book. Sometimes we need a refresher on what love is all about and what love isn't. I certainly did. This book helped me when I needed help at sorting out what it really means to have a real committed relationship with someone and how to actualize it. Definitely would recommend this book to anyone wanting to know the Jewish perspective on relationships, sex, and marriage.
