Powerful knowledge and understanding.

This book is for anyone who desires to learn more about God and His Word. I have used this book alongside the Bible for an in depth understanding and interpretation from Jon Courson. He takes each verse, explains the historical significance, and uses modern day examples to glean a better understanding.

Persistent use of outdated old King James language quotes.

Very hard to read with the proliferation of old King James language. I found I was reviewing with another Bible version, just to make it readable. Also, there are some inconsistencies and inaccuracies in what the author says at times. The author seems also to push his view points, and not give balanced views on topics or passages. Not a commentary for me.

So helpful to dig deeper into the Word

Jon’s stories help provide a deeper understanding to verses that might not have spoken as clearly to me by themselves.
