***Newly May 2015 Sometimes, the Fates have other plans in mind. Surviving one battle was hard enough for Ryanne, but that was just the beginning. With her magic growing stronger with each passing day, she is forced to watch visions play out—visions she doesn't want to see. When she sees the death of someone close to her, she is forced to change the future, but Dravin Kione, the leader of the Gadramicks, is determined to make sure that doesn't happen. As Ryanne grows closer to her new family, they get more serious about keeping her out of Dravin's hands. Battling her guilt, personal feelings towards a green-eyed mage, and the expectations of the mage world, Ryanne is struggling to stay afloat in the sea of confusion that surrounds her new life. With the help of Colton and his family, along with a healer, a dream-walker, and a loud-mouthed mage, Ryanne sets out on the journey of a lifetime.

The Prophesized Series by Kaitlyn Hoyt

This series is what I imagine ambrosia to taste like, you know unattainable to mere mortals, addictive, wonderful, magical with upper tones of spice and dashes of sweet, something that will burn going down but leave you begging for more, something so amazing that you will gladly except the fire just to have that silky dreamy feeling spread through your whole body, yes like that but so much more. Ryanne is my freaking hero not because she can be super bad ass but because she's real, like prone to mini melt downs like us normal people!! She's loves super hero's (who doesn't right) and the Big Bang Theory!!! Omg'sh right it's like taking a peek into your life minus the fact she's got more magic then
she knows what to do with, but that's not going to stop her from trying, trying to stop a villain and his followers and protect the family of her heart. Colton I wanted to smack him upside the head or give him a stern talking to but Emma had my back on that one and then there is David who doesn't love extended brothers right!!! Then you have even more amazing characters like Liam, Larken, Tom, Aunt Claire and I can't leave out our beloved Logan, and there is many more wonderful characters whom Kaitlyn brings to life that for me lives in my heart and my mind. Every book but the last one will end in a CliffHanger but don't freak because all the books are available, you lucky, lucky readers!! Lol I had to wait and that was sooooo very hard to do with this series, I knew when each book would come out yet I checked every week like it would magically change.. {True Story} I am not going to give a single thing away because you all deserve to read this series!!! Let me say I love the characters in these books, each book makes you fall deeper and deeper, they end up taking up a beloved spot in your mind. (Except The bad guy ;) In the Prophesized Series Ryanne will teach you that this world is not always black and white and that sometimes the grey areas need love too, by the end of the series you will go from shock, happiness, grief, anger, pain, sadness and joy!! Or at least I did!! I never regretted buying this series and to date I have read each book a total of eight times, yep eight times I have gotten to read my beloved series. Ryanne and Colton, now there is a epic story!!! Each character has a story within this story each person has a voice that is heard throughout the entire series, they are not background noice. The Prophesized Series is about Ryanne changing from who she was, to who's she becoming to who she will one day be she grows with each book, she becomes more then Ryanne she turns into the flame, and so much more!! If you love paranormal romance then I highly recommend this series, Five Stars for sure. I was not paid or given a copy of this book for my review this pleasure was all my own doing!!
Enjoy

I kind of have mix feelings about this book. Some parts of it just seems unreal. Like how can she say she is shy and still sings and dance in front of everyone without a care? I get that she is getting closer to them, but it just does not make sense that she is already completely comfortable with them. Well, at least to me.

Even though her sudden personality chance really bothered me, I still really liked some of the things she says. For example:
“In life, everything you do affects someone else. Every action has a consequence. It takes a lot to actually live. To feel like you’re doing something worth-while. You can choose to make a difference or stand in the background and let life happen around you. I used to be the girl in the background. I was comfortable with that. I didn’t like attention. I just wanted to blend in and go on with life unseen. Now, I have a chance to be important—to do something important, and if I die doing that, at least someone can say I tried. At least I can say that I actually lived a little.”

I find this quote really inspiring and true. It really does tell me more about about how Ryanne thinks, and let me know more about her personality.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, though I must say that I still like the first one better. Will still read the sequel thought.

When I found the first book in this series free on amazon I read the blurb and downloaded it. I am on a bit of a fantasy kick at the moment and it sounded right up my alley. The series is a YA/NA urban fantasy.
The books are full of so much emotion, I cried more than once over the course of them. It is easy to get swept away with the friendships, family that is built and with the love between the main characters.
The characters are a group of mages with some really interesting powers. Ryanne's powers develop & evolve over throughout the books, she gets more kickass as it goes on. Ryanne feels like such a real person when you read about her, her emotions & reactions are so easy to relate to - she is easy to fall in love with.
I really loved all the good & bad surprises that popped up, it was not easy to predict the outcome & i loved that. There is action & excitement in every book and parts of it had me on the edge of my seat.
I would recommend the series (it took me less than 24 to read the four books & yes i did sleep at one point!). I will also read more by this author as I really liked her style of writing.

Must read......

Tom, Bragden, Logan, Larken, Emma, Colton Liam and Ryanne have been living in a new spot, trying to stay ahead of Dravin. He's a psychopath who wants Ryanne's powers. He has recruited Colton's ex girlfriend and the slumber who tried to attack her in high school. Claire has been killed, even though they found no body. The fact that Ryanne can be injured in a dream is disheartening, and she transports to locations that she draws in her sketchbook.

Life has been hard for this girl. She didn't ask for any of it, but she is the prophecy girl.....meant to fix a very large problem.

This book was excellent. I can't wait to finish the series.

A magical prophecy, a dangerous journey, and scorching secrets. Surviving one battle was hard enough for Ryanne, but that was just the beginning. There are so many unknowns ahead of her and the path she is on is riddled with obstacles that she has to overcome if she wants to come out alive! The end of the book will shock you.....

So far, the only "issue" with this series is that the author clearly has no idea how curls work and are cared for. Ryanne seems to be a Disney princess that's just good at everything, complete with Disney princess hair.

Okay, so again I like where the storyline is going but Ryanne's character is so annoying.

I like the dual perspective in the story, it gives some not so childish thoughts etc.

Some of the scenes were too drawn out and I'm getting bored with the gymnastics aspect.

OMG he is dead!!

The first book interested me enough to purchase the second. Unfortunately, I won't be buying the third.

The writing was a bit better in this book than the first, but the character development was still somewhat flat. The plot was also lacking. It seemed like the protagonists were just sitting around and waiting for something to happen. They didn't take the initiative and make a plan to resolve anything. They just went into hiding until they were discovered... and then moved to a new hiding place.

The music description got to be a little old too. Okay, fine... she can sing. Great. But the constant track changes of what she was singing and listening to on her iPod got a little old. The repeated movie lines were frustrating too. I wanted to hear the author's voice, not recycled movie lines that didn't further the story.

The "major cliffhanger" at the end of the story would have upset me if I had been emotionally invested in the characters. Unfortunately, I wasn't. I really didn't care. I actually rolled my eyes when I read it and then tossed my Kindle aside. I usually want to finish an entire series once I start, but this was a rare exception. The characters just weren't developed enough for me to identify with their emotions, considering the events that transpired in the story.

I really hope that the author considers a content editor for her future works. There were a few inconsistencies and the plot needed to be better developed. I think she has a lot of talent and promise, but the story just isn't there yet.

I read this book right after the first. I really enjoyed it. I laughed and cried. I never put down my kindle. I will gladly pay for the third book when it's released. I'm anxiously waiting. I strongly recommend this series to everyone.

Now there is a hell of a cliff hanger, be still my beating heart. This series just gets better and better, plenty of action and mayhem to keep you guessing.Ryanne was a great character initially a timid, fade into the background type of girl but she put her "big girl panties" on and decided to not be a victim and I liked that about her. She evolved throughout the story and I liked that Colton and her relationship progressed and digressed as it was not that "instant" kind of love and lots of external things impacted on them. Emma is such a wonderful friend and Natasha is such a bitch and you can easily identify her as the "Cheerleader" type who is used to getting all the cute boys. I liked Liam's character and thought he was a wonderful sounding board for Ryanne when she needed a shoulder to cry on and it happened a bit in this second book. I am reading them one after the other so it has to be good to keep me reading.

Ryanne went from struggling everyday with lose of her mom in a car accident meant to kill her to discovering that she is a mage.
But no being just a mage was not crazy enough she also finds out that is the prophesized child who will help end a war. After living through one attack that took the life of somebody she loved she is forced to watch terrible visions of the future all of which showing death. Ryanne is terrified that on will come true putting her love Colton in danger and everybody else who have become her family. Will Ryanne be able to save them and at what cost will she go to make it happen?

I loved this book and if you have not read it yet then stop reading reviews about it and read it you will not regret it I loved this book amazing read. :-)

This book started out great in the beginning but I feel like it got dragged. And the part that bothered me the most was Ryanne's obliviousness and insecurities. I really hated when she was having pity parties left and right saying she's not good enough for everyone and she's not beautiful. It irked me. I swear just once, look at yourself in the mirror and point out a feature that you like about yourself instead of constantly bringing yourself down which is not helping you or anybody. I had to give it two stars because I felt like there was no progress. They just lounge around and I get to read Ryanne feeling bad for herself every single page.

Seamless transition from the first book with a major cliffhanger at the end.

Did I think this was as good as the first? Not quite. You know how they split the final Harry Potter movie, and part 1 was necessary with supporting details and minor developments but the heart racing action, edge of your seat, intense scenes were saved for the finale? This book reminded me of that first portion.

It moves along at a very steady pace, but unlike the first book, there is no super mind blowing climax. Action? Yes. Secrets? Yes.

And one burning question: do they ever drink anything other than bottled water? I'll have to read on to find out.

Ok I liked the continuation of this series. The characters are intriguing, funny and good natured. Loved the t-shirts and the movie line quote game to be entertaining. I didn't find too many secrets revealed in this book for a title like Scorching Secrets but they did have some. I kept waiting for Olive's secret to be that it was Natalie, Natasha's sister and shifting was her power so that the bad guys could reach her in her dreams. But no such luck. The author did set a routine for them being in hiding but I found that the training, getting water sequence got a little redundant for me. Although with each new power the training elevated her being the prophecy.

Second book in the series and I really liked it. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters were just as good as they were in the first one. Still a big Colton fan.

Ryanne is still having problems. Being forced to watch her friends get hurt in her visions is taking it's toll on her and she is having to deal with not only that but Dravin and everything he is throwing at her. Although this is all happening, she is also growing closer to her new family and friends. This has it bad points as now Dravin knows how to effect her and her emotions.

This book picks up where the 1st one left off. I am enjoying the character development. This is an entertaining read for me. I am so glad I stuck with the first book! This book is even better than the first and we learn more important information. This book leaves you hanging! I am just glad that the series is completed. I immediately started reading the next book, so I can't give many details...all the books run together in my head and I don't want to give anything away. I did notice that cussing increased with each book (a few words here and there, not every other word).

The first 2 books in the series were solid. Halfway through the third book I found myself thinking - oh come on she can't be that good at EVERYTHING. Props to Ms. Hoyt for self-publishing books while in college, but her age definitely shows by the end of the series.

Books 1 & 2 qualify for a reread. Books 3 & 4 - nope!

It barely gets better than the first book. But I've committed this long, I'll start the third book to see if it picks up where it left off. If it doesn't, unfortunately, I simply can't finish this series. Possibly I didn't read the synopsis thoroughly, but this has felt written for 13 and under. j

It still kept me reading. I love Ry's personality and quirkiness! I do get a little annoyed at the continued reference to how small and fragile she is. Other than that I still love the story and the modern day references to "The Big Bang Theory" etc.

It was ok I'm kind of getting tired of Ry always doubting herself and not thinking she is good enough. She has gotten more of a attitude of like I'm not going to take their crap anymore whichis good to see. The end was sad not going to tell ya. Team Colton. I did get the next book of course.

Ryanne's continues to grow into her powers. She has a vision that Dravin will kill Colton. I really think one of these times they overcome Dravin they should kill him. It would stop his group in their tracks.
