I live in South Alabama were I grew up! I have three beautiful daughters and a wonderful husband that keep me busy when I'm not working full time or writing! I have loved to read and write since I was in school. I never thought I would ever be able to say that I am an author but here I am and so happy to be doing what I do!I hope to bring everyone into the world of fantasy with me!!
Favorite Lines “I will die for her, I will take her place. I would die a thousand times so I don't lose you. You don't belong here, you never did. Even as a little girl I knew that. I know you will ultimately choose that place. It's your home. I would if I were you... I just want us to be together..”
“You have made my life worth living. I love you but you have to let me go. I have to save them. I have to do what's right.”
“My heart had already made a choice a long time ago.”
"I'm ready Jordan."
OMG what an emotional book! Can you imagine? Can you imagine being a dreamwalker? Being able to go to different times, places, and worlds when you dream? That's Jordan! Ever since she was a baby she has been able to travel any and everywhere. During one of her "visits" she sees someone that has disappeared and then timings get even crazier! You know I won't tell you what happened but, murder, different worlds, love, heartbreak, bickering, and family how could that not be awesome! I've read everything by this author and she's amazing. Reading this book I can totally see how much she has grown in her writing. This book had a something different and that something different made it WONDERFUL. It had me glued for the first page. I loved the characters, the concept, and the ending! An amazing story by fantabulous author!!

Jordan has the most vivid dreams. She visits different places and lately it’s been more intense. Soon she discovers that things are deeper and more complicated than anyone could have guessed. Her and her friends Audrey and Lauren try their best to figure out what is going on when Jordan spaces out at school. The girls ditch their responsibilities to band together and try to make sense of it all.
Lauren has been different ever since her mom and little brother disappeared and so has her dad. She is a different person an unhappy one but she rolls with the punches.
Jordan freaks when she sees Laurens mom and brother in her dream world and soon figures out there’s more to this. She confides in her best friends and they accidentally embark on a crazy journey that dreams are made of.
Jordan feels a strange connection to a guy she has seen in her dreams before and when it turns out he is there too she is more and more determined to get to the bottom of things. A creepy old woman holds the info they need and time is running out quite literally.
I have read quite a few books with dreams and walking in dreams and this is definitely a new twist and just when you thought you had it figured out bam! Nope wrong again! It was great but ooh my gawd! Just when you thought it was all coming to a tidy end… Cliffhanger! Noooo! S.L. Seay I MUST have the next book as soon as it’s done OMG! I NEED to know what happens next! And I can totally see the progressive growth in this authors writing and I am so very proud of her! Congrats S.L. Seay on a great novel!!
Your heart will break**** This story takes you into a world filled with emotion and heartbreak. Jordan is a character that you won't forget no time soon. She is able to travel back in time to the past by dream walking, but what she find is so touching it will leave you in tears. It's only once in a brief moment that an author can capture and hold your heart in a story and this is it. Ms Seay had the insight to develop her characters true to life and a plot so define that you will feel as you were part of their world. I would like to take this time to thank Shanna for letting me read this amazing story. I would recommend this book to any and everyone that want a good book!

Jordan Lewis is sixteen going on seventeen. She has vivid dreams that are starting to get more and more real. When Jordan and her best friends, Lauren and Audrey, suddenly end up in the town of Jordan's dreams, they discover that all is not as it seems. Why does the old hunchback woman keep calling her "dream walker"? Why does Jordan feel like she knows the charismatic Duke after only just having met him? What mystery lies behind the disappearance of Lauren's mother and little brother two years ago? How will the girls get back home? And what will happen when they do? Jordan has a decision to make before her seventeenth birthday in two weeks' time. And it will be the hardest decision of her life.
Let me get this out of the way, so that I have something good to say at the end. I was appalled at the amount of mistakes this book contained, but I didn't want to give the book an unfair rating if the version I read was a draft. When I found out the book had been edited and re-published by Bar Publishing, I asked for and received a copy of the edited version. Upon re-reading, I discovered that only about 10% of the errors have been corrected. It looks like they can't even decide if it should be "dreamwalker" or "dream walker"; the edited version has switched to "dream walker" everywhere except on the cover! Speaking of the cover, although I didn't like the original cover, the Bar Publishing version is even worse.
The mistakes continue even before the first page, with "Acknoglegments" instead of "Acknowledgments". The narrative mixes past and present tenses, the sentences run on, there is a lack of punctuation (apostrophes, commas, full stops, italics, quotation marks, capital letters), and innumerable compound words are written as separate words. Another personal bugbear: the book ends on a cliff-hanger. It even has the words "The End", but then it goes straight into another segment entitled "Audrey". Is this the beginning of the sequel? Please explain!
When I initially noticed this was going to be bad, I started cataloging the incorrect word usage errors (these numbers are from the original version but, as stated previously, only about 10% of the errors have been corrected in the revised version). Take note: this proves "spell-check" is not good enough, as all of these are all actual words, just incorrectly used.
Despite all of this, I actually loved the story. While I found it to be quite original, it did have elements that reminded me of James DiBenedetto's "Dream Student", Gabrielle Zevin's "Elsewhere", Audrey Niffenegger's "The Time Traveler's Wife", and even Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking Glass". The narrator has a great voice. Even the run-on sentences and bad grammar can be excused as the way a teenager would actually speak. But it's still hard to get over the appalling lack of editing, even to the point of using some words I've never heard of before (bourdon and collogue) instead of the correct words (burden and collage). I would give this book a higher rating if it were properly edited. If you can get past these issues, you'll enjoy the story.
3.5 stars

Dreamwalker is a fantastic book. It started a little slow for me, but I like to jump right into the action. It was hardly noticeable. A quick note before I talk about how great this book was, there are quite a few spelling and grammar errors. The errors bothered me plenty, but not enough to stop reading.
It is a Y/A so I can't get upset about giddy teenage girls, the giddiness gets toned down about a chapter or two in anyway.
This book is full of difficult decisions, romance, good friendship, and heartbreak. I'm hoping there is a sequel, and soon, because I want more. The story was well thought, there were twists and turns, and insignificant details turn out to be like puzzle pieces and when it all clicked together it made me wonder why I hadn't thought of it before.
I would recommend this book to someone who loves paranormal and is tired of vampires and witches, it was great.

This is a very captivating story and I couldn't put it down once started.
Jordan , Audrey, Lauren > the trio. The best friends who experience paranormal together.
Jordan travels in dream and can go to past or future or to other dimension. The story revolves around her, the consequences she faced, the choices she has to make.
Although I would have liked to read a lil more elaborated end.

This book was absolutely captivating from the first sentence to the end! Once at the end I was screaming NOOOO (in my head of course lol). These girls DEFINE best friends and the paranormal "dream walking" aspect of different times, places, and realms was created with you playing the visual in your mind of the place and/or event. The saving of the Indian from the soldiers with a little girl in her nightgown was heartbreaking to imagine and yet so powerful. Trying to make things right with lost loved ones while taking care of those living is inspirational. I am praying there is a book two for this and SOON PLEASE!! I have found a new fav author!!!! Jordan has a lot of strange dreams and it gets worse over time. Her friend Lauren's mom and brother went missing awhile back and her and her dad were devastated. One night she started seeing Lauren's mom and brother in her dreams. She had to tell her friends what she saw and that started the beginning of strange things. This book was so amazing I want the whole series. This is the best book ever if you love dream books this is a great one.

This story was well written. I did have one problem with the book. There was so much death and people dying for child birth, murder, suicide and accidents. So any way the book is about Jordon a girl born in the death world. She has a hard choice to make on her 18th birthday to live in the living or to choose the dead.
I will read the next book that come in the series.

The storyline was creative and the main character was easy to like. Problem was I had a hard time with it holding my attention, which happens from time to time. I had to put it down and come back to it a few times.
That gives it 4 stars in my view...so why 3?
I am in no means going to claim I am a religious person, but I do believe in God, and I believe the word God should be capitalized, even in slang i.e. "Oh my God."
I would have taken a half star off for that if I could have.
I suppose some will say that's not part of a "review." In my book not capitalizing the word God is.
I really enjoyed writing this book! This has become my baby and I can't say thanks enough to everyone who has had a part in helping me along in this incrediable journey!
