An excellent witness to our Father and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ's love through the Holy Spirit. Sue Curran's testimony the power of prayer is really inspiring. I personally would have liked more of a step by step process of how to pray to achieve the results of the author. Perhaps my level of faith has not reached sufficient level.

Although this book was a great testament to the author’s life and work, it wasn’t the guide to prayer that I was looking for. There was a lot on prayer and how it effected her life, but I’m one of those who shy away from public prayer because I’m not comfortable and was hoping for more of a guide that would help me personally.

Wow! What an incredible book! I don’t think I have ever read a more compelling book on the power of prayer than Sue Curran’s “Define Your Destiny through Prayer”. For anyone who desires a deeper walk with God, this book is an absolute must. Each chapter is a progressive journey of what this ministry experienced from humble beginnings to a worldwide outreach touching untold numbers of lives for God. What really impressed me as I read was how anointed the content was as Mrs. Curran told of not only her experiences of building their ministry (and what a walk of faith that was) but of the delight that she took in growing closer to her Lord and having an intimate relationship with Him. This is truly a woman who loves God with all of her heart and it is clear to me that her heart’s desire is to share this wonderful way of life with the reader. She will show you the beauty of a life filled with prayer and you will find yourself wanting to experience it too. She quotes Andrew Murray…”The Lord Jesus will every day from heaven continue His work in me. But on one condition-the soul must give him time each day to impart His love and His grace”… This book touched me deeply; I simply can’t recommend it enough! I can’t wait to order her books “The Praying Church” and “Prayer in Another Dimension”. If you want to learn not only how to pray but how to live a prayer-filled life then please add this book to your library, you will certainly grow in your walk with God. This book was given to me for review by Destiny Image publications.

This book is outstanding. This is truly a demonstration of God’s power, His faithfulness and a manual to be led by the Holy Spirit through prayer. Sue Curran teaches you how to pray effectively, to step up a new level of praise and worship, how to have a deep intimacy relationship with God and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. She reveals that the Holy Spirit will instruct you, teach you, and will pray through you the will of God. Also how the Holy Spirit is here to help us and guide you in all truth. That’s awesome. This book will make a major shift your prayer time with God. I really like the stories about the revivals but the whole book is powerful and every Christian needs to read this.
In each of the chapters have brief quotes of wisdom on prayer from powerful Christians leaders. At the end of the book have three sections: Appendix A “Biblical Praise Expressions”(Seven Hebrew Words for Praise), Appendix B “Hindrances To Corporate Prayer”, Appendix C “The Seven Offices of the Holy Spirit”( The seven functions and names of the Holy spirit)and Lastly Appendix D “Great Awakenings In Our Nation”. It’s truly a keeper and a good reference book about prayer and learning how to walk with the Holy Spirit. My review is on the free eBook that was given to me by the publisher.

Sue Curran and her husband, Myles, are definite heroes of our Christian faith. They share many testimonies as this book is a small summary of their obedient walk with the Holy Spirit of more than 4 decades and the unimaginable fruits that come from such a focus. You will be empowered through this wonderful guide to pursue your heavenly Father, your Lord & Savior and your Comforter with pure inspiration and desire. Sue and Myles model the balance of learning directly from the Holy Spirit, trusting Jesus and yielding the work to be done within you, while truly taking responsibly of your part in the divine love story. Unlike many love stories of our world, this read is transparent and real including sharing disappointments and would be tragedies, if not connected to the Holy Spirit. While we all want and need real intimacy, lies from the devil and brokenness from life have left many of us not even believing that the word of God or the promises of Jesus are for us or for this side of the cross. Sue and Myles example that we are loved and meant for way more than we can even think or dream of.

This book touched me on so many levels. I long for the Body Of Christ to walk as Jesus said we would, so when I read books that bear fruit in the life of a believer I am intrigued. Dr. Curran shared numerous experiences that she has had over many years in ministry that demonstrate the power of God through the lives of yielded vessels; starting from their humble beginnings to the now world wide ministry. The book is precise and an overall summary of how Prayer can bring about the life that we desire in God. I found myself at times saying Yes!, this is what I have been talking about. This book left me wanting more. This review is based on the free ebook that was given to me by the publisher.

I loved reading this book. It was really good! As i read this book it felt like something was stirred inside of me and i could not wait to spend time with God and enjoy intimacy with him through prayer. I was definitely provoked to holy jealousy as i read the testimonies of this woman of God. I loved what God did in this woman’s life and i can’t wait to have more fun with God in prayer. As you read this book you are encouraged to develop a more intimate relationship with the lord and an amazing beautiful prayer life with God.

Wasn't what I was expecting. I felt like there was too much emphasis placed on the development of the church that she and her husband established and the many, many evangelistic trips she took. I was hoping for something that would give more guidance in how to make prayer a part of a daily lifestyle.

Appreciated the story of the author's journey in her prayer life with amazing stories of God acting as well as the practical components on praying with power. I especially liked the analysis of African prayer as compared with our lighter western-style prayer.
