”I have gone through a number of books like this one, and most of them are pretty much the same. This is the one you want… Personally, I will check out any book this author writes about apps because, for some reason, maybe a bad case of OCD, he is obviously compelled to do the most thorough investigation into each and every aspect, good and bad of apps in a particular genre. My hat's off to him, and he has my thanks for saving me a ton of time and grief.” - Linda Abbott (Reviewer)A Note from the My aspiration was to make this book the very best resource of its kind. To that end, I put a great deal of time and effort into researching and writing it. I really hope you’ll find it useful!PLEASE This book is an abridged version of my magnum opus (nearly 800 pages long!): The Complete Free Kindle Fire Apps . (Also, some of the contents of this book may be found in one or another of my other books, too.) If you think you might be interested in more than just the best free Kindle Fire apps for kids, you might want to consider checking out my magnum opus first.
I appreciated this author's approach, data heavy, obviously put a lot of thought into the rating system, included pros and cons, and who would best benefit from the app. Then rated all the apps, best to worst. I would say, three out of the five apps were either broken links or apps not compatible with my Kindle Fire. There were only a couple apps in each category, and most weren't apps I was familiar with. These are supposed to be productivity apps, but none were for me. So I appreciate the author's writing, but not the content.
Why are there multiple books out there by this guy with the same exact apps in each book? This is the third one I've read by him, and there *may* be a couple of apps mentioned here that weren't in the other two, but honestly, I don't think that, alone, is reason to put out YET ANOTHER one of these books! (Thank god for KindleUnlimited, because I'm not willing to actually pay for these books!) Extremely disappointing!
As a new user of the Kindle Fire HDX, this book saved me hours (probably days). I feel confident that I now have the apps I am most likely to need and a place to find any others I might need later.
Author took a lot of time to try all these apps, but the majority of reviews say 'doesnt seem to work right' under the cons section... the why is it a recommendation? I took away about 3 apps from this and installed about 10 total. Good book but glad I got it for free...
