A Cowgirl's Homecoming is the first book in the Four Sisters Ranch series and it is absolutely wonderful. Jenn Spencer left Four Sisters Ranch three years ago after the tragic death of her husband, leaving behind her parents and sisters. Returning home became the farm is in trouble and it’s well past time to repair relationships. Luke Bennett is Jenn’s new landlord and his adorable niece wraps around Jenn’s heart. Luke has a secret though and once Jenn finds out, can they work through it or will their fledgling love crash and burn? I love Jenn, she’s brave, loving, kind and determined to help her family and reconnect with them. She and Luke make a great team and Luke’s niece Paisley is adorable! This story was so well written with forgiveness, faith, love and second chances wrapped around complex relationships and heavy emotional trauma. This is the perfect first book and I can’t wait to read more!

This was given to me by a friend, I read it because I thought it be a cute easy read. It was cute, and it was easy.

Nothing happens for the first 3/4 of the book except the two main characters toiling over the fact they’re attracted to each other. I found both of their internal monologues exhausting.

The book was written in third person past tense, but it was also extremely passive voice. The cadence of sentences was weird. The dialogue was stiff, and there was basically no difference in how any of the characters spoke.

Also in the end, a proposal before they’ve even been on a proper date? Or before they’ve even kissed?? They’ve known each other approximately a few weeks! Maybe a month! And then none of her family is concerned with the timeline of their courtship? I get that it’s a Christian romance but that’s a bit much even for me.

I really loved this book. Who says you can’t go home again? Julia Ruth is a new author to me, but I’m already making plans to read this whole series! This is book one of the Four Sisters Ranch series.
Jenn Spencer left home three years ago when her husband died and she said some hurtful things to her family. Her sister has texted her that her folks are having financial problems and may lose their farm. Jenn knows it is time to come home, but will her dad and sisters welcome her back? Luke Bennett is now raising his niece, Paisley. He is Jenn’s landlord for her salon with the apartment above. They seem perfect for each other, but Luke has to keep a secret, and it just may come between them.

Words Left Unsaid

Jenn Spencer left her family years ago, and she left without a word. She’s now back, but all of the words she left unsaid have contributed to a not so welcome reception. Well, not so welcome by her family, but very welcome by her landlord, Luke Bennett and the adorable Miss Paisley.

And that is where this beautiful story of healing and love begins. How will Jenn and her family be able to move on from the past? Will Jenn and Luke’s friendship blossom into something more? And where does Paisley fit into all if this? You’ll just have to read it to find out, and you will not be disappointed.
