Set against the glittering backdrop of Victorian high society, four romantic tales featuring the unconventional Fensters by acclaimed romance author Kelly McClymer…
The Fairy Tale Bride A disastrous London season convinces Miranda Fenster that happily ever after is for other people. But when an attempt to help her star-crossed brother goes awry, she finds herself married to the Duke of Kerstone. Can the hopeless romantic Miranda prove to her impeccably proper husband that fairy tales really do come true?
The Star-Crossed Bride Ever a gentleman, Viscount Valentine Fenster steps aside when the woman he loves, Lady Emily Wertherly chooses another man. When he discovers Emily's fiance is a fortune-hunting murderer, Valentine tosses caution—and decorum—to the wind to save her. But he’ll have to move fast since the headstrong and highly-imaginative Emily is intent on saving herself…
The Unintended Bride Shy Hero Fenster loves two things—books and Arthur Watterly. But Arthur, the heir to a dukedom and pledged to another since birth, is the one thing she can never have—that is until the quest for a rare Arthurian manuscript and a night of passion in a bookshop change everything.
The Infamous Bride Notorious flirt Juliet Fenster enjoys the delights of the London season far too much to consider settling down—particularly with a stuffy American like Romeo “RJ” Hopkins. But when the unlikely pair are cast in an amateur production of Romeo and Juliet, they find themselves doing far more than “playing” at love…
USA Today bestselling author Kelly McClymer writes fairytale-inspired romances set in Victorian England (although a few characters escape to the United States), fairytale fantasy, and mom-inspired mystery.
Kelly shares her characters’ family values: she grew up with three younger sisters and has successfully raised three children of her own. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
Kelly’s first published writing was for her high school newspaper and she’s been writing fiction in many forms ever since. While she explores many genres including historical romance, mystery, young adult, and fantasy, her stories share common themes: developing inner strength, the power of love in all it’s forms, triumph of good over evil, and the strength of family connection.
I had mixed feelings about this series. I liked the stories and I didn't. Each story built so that I ended up liking it about halfway through. There were also lots of mistakes that I don't understand how any editor can not catch. I did enjoy that these came to me as a series so that I got to know all the characters and then see them again in the next book. It's mostly a rather typical historical romance.
I am not a fan of Recency romances, and truly dont know how this collection got in to my library. The first two stories in the collection were pretty good. The characters were very human and the plots held my interest. The last two selections were very uninteresting. The characters were flat. The collection should only be read by avid Recency readers.
This was such a cute story to read. I really enjoyed it. Faith is getting married to a longtime friend of hers (Max). While her Mom (Lily) and her are planning Faith's wedding she leaves a few details out that she tells her Mom later. It is a really emotional tale with a very happy ending. I think everyone would love to read this story. It is a very easy and fast read. I am trying not to give any spoilers so just take my word for it, it is truly an awesome love story.
Home Sweet Home by Hope Ramsey
Isa and Collin were high school sweethearts but sometimes things don't work out fir reasons we may not know. This happened to them. Eighteen years later they reconnect in their home town and could this be different for them.
It was a really cute story that made me smile and cry pretty much at the same time. It was the first time I read a Hope Ramsey story but it won't be the last.
A Morning Glory Wedding by Liz Talley
Brandy owns the only florist in town now and she has not been widely accepted by the town because of some things she has done wrong in the past. As you read the story you feel sorry for Brandy and how she has been treated, But as the story progresses you see her rise above her past mistakes and now has a promising future.
I do, Again by Jamie Beck
This is the first book that I have read by Jamie Beck and I have to say it will not be the last. She did such a great job on this story that I was glad to be given the opportunity to read it.
Ellie is a make up artist who was working on a wedding. The Bride is a little on the snobbish side and during the makeup session before the wedding things happen that Ellie has to fill in for one of the bridesmaids. There she sees her ex husband Cody.
It really was a great book and I think you will enjoy it as much as I did.
I really enjoyed these four stories. They were heartfelt and moving and a good example of what went on in the 19th in England but book number for showed you how things were in both England and America and how madness creeps in . I just ordered 5,6,7 and hope they are as good.
