I’m digging Aggie, Betty, and Roger. I was a little worried with this one because some of the older reviews were not so good, but Aggie, Betty, and Roger have become my guilty pleasure. Vegas or Bust (An Aggie Underhill Mystery, Book #7) by Michelle Ann Hollstein was a fun cozy mystery. Chances are great that you know someone like Aggie, Betty, and Roger, and that’s what helps to make these books fun. This is not a book that is “solve the hardcore murder mystery”- they call it a quirky comical mystery at the end of the book and I agree with that description.
Aggie, Betty, and Roger are usually brought into some mystery through no fault of their own or because Aggie is butting her nose into something. There is some bickering and banter between the three- either you get it or it’s just not your thing.
There’s a small part of me that says I should be reading/listening to these books in order because I’m missing their adventures/small things, but I had no problem catching on to the current story. The beginning of the book did have a good amount of talk about Aggie’s arch nemesis and it took a little longer than I like for the book to take off but once it did, it was fun. If you are new to Aggie’s world, I would recommend starting with one of the other books first (Dead Ringer has been my favorite so far).
The narrator, Michael Carr, was fantastic! I wish he would narrate all of Aggie’s books.
If you’re looking for a shorter, lighter mystery, I’d recommend taking a chance on this series.

Ok I like cozy mysteries. I like the characters in them they tend to be funny so it makes fun to read along with solving the crimes. Aggie and her friends are invited to a wedding in Las Vegas. Aggie is eager to go to get away from her house guests that visited from England. She ships them away to her daughters house to go to Vegas for a wedding for a couple she met from a cruise she recently went on. Anyways the bride does not show up for the wedding and disappears. Aggie does not believe that Miriam got cold feet. Miriam ex husband Harold gambled and owes money from a loan shark. this is a fast paced book and Aggie is going to try to get to the bottom of this mystery. It was enjoyable and if you like cozy mysteries you will like this one. I like to laugh and this one brings some laughs.
I am continuing my binge listen (yes they are delightfully short so it works over a short time). This one was a different location and I enjoyed it. I also liked the return of the narrator.
Looking forward to how it develops - my star rating is improving the more I listen - that is mainly down to the fact that I feel the latter books are so much more developed in terms of the characters or perhaps I am now used to the writers style and I am also really getting to know the characters- really enjoying it.
Audible:It took me a long time to get into this Aggie Underhill book.I couldn't,and didn't ,get used to the narration by a man, instead of a woman.Michael Carr was a good narrator, just not for this series. Agie has company that she doesn't want. She pawns them off on her daughter, then is reminded of a wedding she needs to attend.A bride is snatched and Aggie is on it,even if the police arent. I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.
Another good Aggie Underhill mystery with good quirky characters as well as very sensible ones. You enjoy Roger a whole lot. He needs a story of his own. When they meet annoying characters, they meet them! Aggie just too nice to get rid of them. You enjoy the story and all the craziness that happens along the way, so when you get a chance pick up a copy and enjoy. Vegas or Bust (Aggie Underhill Mysteries #7) was a good read by Michelle Ann Hollstein. Aggie has two unwanted houseguests from England that she is desperate to escape. Aggie accepts wedding invitation for a couple that she met on a cruise. She pawns her guests on her daughter as she goes to Vegas. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by Michelle Ann Hollstein.
Aggie has found herself with another problem to solve when she goes to a friend’s wedding in Vegas and her crew of friends will crack you up through the whole book. This is another great book with Aggie that you won’t regret listening to.
It is never dull when around Aggie, she maybe fifty, a lot of fun and mayhem when one is with her. With houseguests we all can relate. Enjoyable time always with Aggie, and her comical capers. The narration by Michael Carr was good. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
You people should just read this book yourselves and write your own review on this novel yourself and I really enjoyed reading this book very much so. Shelley MA
This is a series and the author kept referring back to other stories in the series. This book did not stand on its own. There were some grammar errors (@ 19% it said 'her' instead of 'hair') and it was never explained why one of the characters referred to Aggie as Asgie. Perhaps if I had read the entire series I would enjoy it more. A simple mystery that was more like a 'Murder she wrote' than Shetlock Holmes.
I enjoyed reading this book. The story did take a little while to get going, but once the almost wedding started the storyline really took off. I have not read any other of the Aggie Underhill books and I sorta wished I had. I felt like I was missing some undercurrents going on. Would read more of the series.
I think this is the third book in this series that I have read. Aggie is a character! She and her friends head to Vegas for a wedding they don't really care to go to. Trouble begins. There are a whole cast of characters that you may recognize. This was a fun, quick read.
This book took way too long to get interesting and to get to the actual mystery. The characters were slightly interesting but not enough to read another book about Aggie Underhill!
This is a fairly straightforward story, without a great many complications. It feels somewhat unfinished, with no real release of tension at the climax of the book. p
