The writing is so bad, unoriginal, and juvenile that I could not even finish the first chapter.
After doing some research I discovered that this is a ripoff of another series called "Vampire Kisses."

Basically, if you love YA books and you love vampires, you'll love this. Emily is a great character because she isn't your typical girl - she's a goth chick! Oh Vampire Love!

Different

If you're a lover of Vampire novels then please grab a copy of this series.
It seems to be directed more towards the young adult grouping, but that being said anyone would enjoy this, it would definitely take you back to that time space.
Emily moved in with her dad in her early teens, after living with her mum during the early years of her life, so she came from a reasonably stable background, her dad definitely loves her but is still very much living husband dreams of being a band leader and singer, so her teen years are full of clubs, bands and young guys, which can cause a few drama's.
Well Emily meets a young guy at the club her dad plays at Jagger and although she is very attracted to him she keeps feeling as though she is missing something about his lifestyle but for some unknown reason she cannot put her finger on it.
I must admit there are enough pointers throughout this short drama to give Emily the opportunity to understand who or what Jagger is especially as she lives the life of a Goth, but no even with her understanding and love of vampire's for some reason she cannot see that Jagger is one of those who live at night and skeep/die during the day.
An entriguing storyline with a wonderful introduction to the series, I am definitely going to grab the rest of the series to complete the series along with wanting to know how Jagger and Emily continue their relationship or if in reality it becomes to much for Emily to handle.

Bleh

This isn't an adult novel unless you consider that I think an adult wrote it maybe the author saw someone dressed in black and thought "Goths? I should write a story" negative stars

SPOILER FREE

This E-book was great and it was FREE. I read this one on playbooks. It's a book that as a teenager you really a readout in like 1 day. I enjoyed this book but sometimes I was like 'wow did that really happen'. This book is about a girl who falls in love with a vampire. Besides that, the boy is a vampire the story and romance between them are nor like realistic. I don't wanna spoil anything but when you read this book you will get me. In the end, the books end with a cliff-hanger. This is something that I hate but again understand why the author did it. I will definitely read the second one cause I feel that then the things will finally start. more action and danger. As I said I enjoyed the book but it was a little bit boring. A little bit flat. I missed the action.

I recommend this book to
*teenagers If course everyone can read this book if they wish but I think that 18+ teens will find the relation between the main characters a little bit absurd.
* vampire lovers and gothic
* Easy ebook readers and a FREE one --> GOOGLE PLAY BOOKS

I think this book doesn't deserve a star. I give it 0.5 and yeah it's that bad. Do I recommend it to anyone? Of course, the people I want to waste their time, my enemies and everyone who was rude to me. Actually, I do not know anything about the writer but I feel it was written by a 13 years old teenager.
I just want you to see what I have been through and as a book lover who reads more than she studies I don't feel I want to read anymore.
Hey baby gurl. U here at the club? Jagger. And since when did you call me "baby girl"? I responded quickly. Yeah. What's with the pet name?
.
.
My Blackberry vibrated again. Hullo? Em? RU there? Come on baby. Hurry up I'm waiting.. :)

Actually, I don't think it deserves the 0.5.
It should be ZERO

Might have enjoyed the story a bit more if the word Goth or Gothic wasn't used in almost every sentence! It rapidly got annoying within a short period of time. I mean if you took out all the uses of the word Goth and Gothic and all of the extensive descriptions of the main character getting dressed and brushing her teeth and what everyone else is wearing the book would probably end up being like 20 pages long! Perhaps she could have used those pages to develop characters that weren't one dimensional stereotypes and an actual plot.

Oh man, if you can make it through the whole book then I applaud you. I read 30 pages after already disliking the first few to see if it got any better, it didn't. It's terribly written, unoriginal and completely lacks imagination. The constant need to refer to the characters "Scene hair", "Nightmare Before Christmas Clock" or "Emily the Strange note book" was just cringe worthy to read.

Really terribly written, cheesy, cringe-worthy fan fiction style of book with characters ripped off of Ellen Schreiber's cute YA series,Vampire Kisses.
But i still got sucked into the story and want to read the second book, which I'm sure will be no better than the first....so not sure what this says about me...?

DNF after 22%.

What is up with the strange obsession regarding Emily the Strange, Nightmare before Christmas and Slipknot. I get that she likes all of those, but why do you have to mention it every second page? And her father is just irresponsible.

I loved this book. the one thing I didn't like was that Jagger didn't tell Emily that he was a vampire until the end.
