Read about one woman’s true encounter with the paranormal.Like most people, Lisa Gellers never believed in ghosts or hauntings. But all that changed when she moved into her first apartment. It wasn’t long before strange things began to objects moving on their own, things disappearing, disembodied voices, and a dark shadow that followed her wherever she went.
Now a true believer in the paranormal, Lisa has decided to share her story. For any who have suffered from a real haunting, hopefully this will provide you some comfort and the knowledge that you are not alone.
Read what reviewers are saying... "You will definitely want to leave the lights on with this book - it will creep you out. You will think every creak and moan in your house is something other than what it is - just remember to leave the lights on when reading this book and hopefully the creaks and moans you hear in your house is just the house settling and not 'something walking around'."

"I once, had a haunting experience in a duplex while I was attending college. I remember how I thought I was going crazy. I completely connect with this story. Although, I still wonder if it was real or if it was in my head. However, I completely understand what it feels like!"
"A quick read, but was scary and enjoyable. It was well written and certainly leaves you wondering about demons and the other side."

A stunning tale of a true ghost story.
Nothing makes for a better story than personal experience. Lisa Gellers is incredible story teller. A vibrant account of the things that go bump in the night. The writing is as smooth as silk. A twist of humor, and the dread of the haunting will thrill the reader to the very last page. Lisa Geller has a intoxicating charm, a striking talent, and total entertainment can be seen in her writing. A true pleasure to read. Highly recommended 5/5.
Creepy and Spooky! This was a great true story about this lady living in an apartment complex that was haunted. This book will stay with you long after you put it down. Even after reading it two years ago, I still think about this book. It will make you think before you go and get an apartment - if she had known about such things as haunting's and ghosts, she probably would not have stayed there as long as she did, but she didn't know about such things and she ended up staying there for a long time before moving on somewhere else. You will definitely want to leave the lights on with this book - it will creep you out! Gave it five stars for major spook factor!
I have read many such books and have interviewed their authors. You can see the exaggeration. This book kept to her experiences. The author didn't try to make sense of it. I believe her. She simply wrote what happened even though she didn't have a cause. What makes the story compelling is that she was alone.
Interesting story into the authors experiences she encountered with the paranormal. My only quirk with this book, is that the editing is rather horrendous. Other then that, it’s worth the read.
This book was a woman's account of how when finding her first apartment for college, it turned out to be haunted. I felt that the writing was a bit amateurish and at times perhaps a bit contrived? While what this woman went through certainly caught her off guard as she did not believe in the paranormal at all when this tale began, that may have led to the simplistic purpose in her choice of writing style as she presented the account of her experiences. Encountering this for the first time led her to disbelieve much of what she was experiencing until finally things ultimately went to such extremes she could not deny their existence any longer. She was frightened, alone, and faced something she had never believed in much less faced before. That said, there were things that just didn't seem to add up. Why didn't she leave as soon as her first lease was up? She watched all the other tenants in the quad-plex building coming and going yet she stayed claiming she had no where else to go ... Elements like this left me a bit bewildered. Read it for yourself and draw your own conclusions.
I truly believe this did happen to this young lady. rather it was paranormal or not is for the reader to judge. our human brains are capable of many unknown things. is detecting the paranormal one of them? I have had two of my own experiences but never believed they were paranormal. maine I should rethink that. good book for a young adult interested in this genre. I
My only concern is I don't understand why she did not reach out for help. Seems like the nice lady at the religious center believed her and also gave her some pertinent information about the building. I would not have renewed the lease and seems like the owner of the building should have taken responsibility for his property. Pretty sure after he moved in he knew something was up and took money from these people knowing it wasn't right.
Some of people don't know me for this kind of stories, however I need to tell you that I am big fan of ghost stories. Specially and because of my very own ghosts encounters. Lisa Gellers wrote a very good and real story that would keep you wanting to know more. For me her story is a good one, if you like very real stories, I think this one is A MUST READ.
Having lived in a couple haunted houses I can completely sympathize with the writer. Fortunately mine were just ghosts and not evil entities. Definitely not a place I would ever want to live. But a really good book. The honesty and fear of the writer were on each page. Thank you for sharing your story. Very good book.
Interesting book written in first hand by a young college student. She had quite a frightening experience, i felt for her and the situation she was in. If you like true haunting experiences then you will like this book.
A great read. Whether you believe in Paranormal Activity or not you should read this book. As the Author states; Ouija boards should never be used. I highly recommend this book.
Not a bad book but I wish the author would have dug a little more deeper in trying to find out who was haunting the apartment she lived in. I do love ghost stories!!!
