First I'd like to say that I have been hooked on the Torn series from the very beginning, and I have read each and every edition ending with Fixated on you. I know that I felt a little let down and frustrated at the end, and in that review talked about how disjointed, rushed and forced parts of the story seemed; so I was pleased to see that the author wanted to give us a sweet little wrap up of Bass and Emma's story with this Christmas novella. It really was a sweet and very short story and I would have been happier if it was offered as a free read, as I did not feel that it was worthy of the 99 cent asking price; however, I had to see how this story was going to play out, and it was sweet to see this couple get their HEA. As a fan of this author and this series, you would think that I would be happy, but I still feel a little let down. Wow, I would really hate for my last impression of this wonderful series to end on a low note, but I'm hopeful because I know that we still have Amber's story, and a wrap up on Lindsey's journey as well.
FINALLY!!! OMG this series is heart wrenching. I love loved this novella. This is a must read for Bass & Emma lovers. I have rooted for them the whole time so I enjoyed seeing a slice of their life together.
I'm torn with this 'book', which as it's part of the Torn series is ironic.
It's a quick read for the HEA of Emma and Bass. It's not the 'raunchfest' of the other books. It is literally the HEA, and therein lies the problem for me. This should have been in Fixated on You, and not a standalone 'book'. I love the books of Pamela Ann, but this was a disappointment in a series that I have consistently rated 4 or 5 stars. When this came out I was tempted to buy it immediately, as I have done with the other books, but something told me not to, and I'm so glad I did wait, as it's now free on Amazon.
Bottomline I liked it, it brought some 'closure' to Emma and Bass. However had this been in Fixated On You then that 4 star rating would of been 5 stars. As I said, I'm torn with this book.
I can't wait for the next book in the Torn series, so that I should be able to get back to giving a 4 or 5 star rating.
I'm a HUGE fan of the Torn series, and I'll admit that I was absolutely gutted throughout parts of Fixated on You. I loved the fact that Emma & Bass were able to reconnect and work things out, I just wanted more. I NEEDED more, so with that said, I'm super freakin' stoked that Pamela Ann released Christmas with You to help sooth my tortured soul. And while I wish I could've had more, I loved this addition to Bass & Emma's story!! I'm so hopeful that we'll get to see more of them through the remaining Torn books, and who knows...maybe we'll get another book for them to live out their Happily Ever After.
This has been one of my all time favorite series (second only to Chasing Beautiful by Pamela Ann) and I love the way that Bass and Emma stuck through it during the roughest part and still are happily married. A miscarriage is something that I wish for no woman, so when Emma suffered her miscarriage I felt her pain. I'm glad that she is now expecting again and hopefully in the books that follow we can still hear a little about Emma and Bass.
This is a short 38 page Emma and Bass book My understanding is it was written because people were unhappy with the way the previous book ended. Some felt Emma and Bass didn't get the HEA they deserved This book will prove they really stay together work out their problems and even a little surprise event is going to happen I love the Torn Series and hope for more glimpses of Emma and Bass in the upcoming books in the series
Love all the characters but felt this was really short (even for a novella). Plus, I'm not sure it really even had a plot. I feel like I visited with the characters for a short while and left again. If you don't have high expectations of this then it's an enjoyable read. I waited a while for it to come out and was excited and I think the hype ruined it for me.
WOW! I have just finished reading all the books in the torn series so far! Love, angst, sadness etc! Bloody loved them! Pamela Ann is definitely one of my favourite authors. I am eagerly awaiting the next books in all her series.
I'm glad that the author made an even sweeter ending for Emma & Bass. I felt that Fixated on You's ending wasn't enough for me. So having this sweet & short novella made me happy. Can't wait for the rest of the series!
that was just blah! Ugh! I was so disappointed from Fixated on You and hoped this follow up would help.... nope... didn't help at all!! I hope the rest of the series is good. we will see I guess.
For the Holiday Season, this is the kind of story that is fun to read. Bass is so sappy, declaring all over the place his love for Emma. He is celebrating his First Christmas and loving it. Emma gives him great news and they continue living HEA
It was a nice little finish to Emma's story, but I thought it felt a little pushed. Like the fans wanted something and the author tried to oblige, it just didn't have the same feeling that the Torn series did.
This was a little too sweet & cutesie for my taste and for these two characters with their storied history. I didn't love this novella, but it was a short quick read so I would still recommend it.
Short and sweet. I love me some Bass Cole, oh yes, I do. Kind of figured where their storyline was going and I couldn't be happier. Can't wait to read the next in this series.
