Annabelle McCormack writes historical romantic fiction, fantasy romance, and contemporary romance packed with sprawling adventures, epic love, and soulmates who just can’t stay away from each other (even when the world is falling apart). If there’s a sweeping love story with high stakes and deep emotions, she’s probably writing it—or at least dreaming about it while chasing down her next cup of coffee.
When she’s not wrangling words, she’s wrangling five home-schooled kids, a couple of dogs, and an unreasonable amount of books in Maryland. If life had more hours (and less laundry), she’d be traveling, painting, or becoming a professional pastry chef. For now, she’s content with baking, reading, lifting heavy things at the gym, and plotting her next great escape—er, novel.

I could not put this book down and finished it within a 24 hour period! This romance had SO many moments that had me grinning until my face hurt, laughing, tearing up and even had my stomach in knots at times.
I loved the past/present and dual pov. I fell in love with both characters. Their meet cute, photo booth moment😍 and grand gestures were all *chefs kiss*. While there is miscommunication and that can be an issue in some books, it was not an issue for me here. It felt believable for the character’s situations. I was happy that both characters had the opportunity to grow individually!
Fɪɴᴀʟ ᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛs﹕ This addictive read gave me everything it needed to! Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys friends to lovers, slow burn, he falls first, soul mates and cozy fall vibes🍂
Thank you to Annabelle McCormack and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Я не розумію концепції логіки людей, які типу дуже закохані, але після сварок просто йдуть у відносини з іншими, сплять з ними, проте потім все одно «люблю до гроба». Квінн тупо всю книжку мені запоров вкінці, тьху, придурок.
Thank you to Annabelle McCormack and BookSirens for the ARC of See You Next Fall! 💕 I was anxiously awaiting the release of this book and was so excited for the opportunity to read it in advance. I will definitely be purchasing the actual book once it’s released to add to my Annabelle McCormack collection because I am sure to reread it at some point in the future. She is a superb author, and I recommend all of her books! I have read her Brandywood Small Town Romance and Windswept Saga books, all of which were excellent. I can’t wait for the next installments of those to be released soon.
I was invested in all of the characters in this book, from the main ones to the supporting characters as well. As a side note, I love the character names used. I was engrossed in the story and didn’t see some of the plot twists coming. Annabelle McCormack’s writing style flows so wonderfully, and I appreciate the good use of some fantastic vocabulary. Anytime I have to look up a few words in the dictionary, I am happy to have learned something new.
The chapters switch back and forth between the past and present, which kept me intrigued and not wanting to stop reading. There are moments of laughter and tears. Definitely had me hooked! Loved it! 💜

(The reading day genre was my selection, and I chose See You Next Fall.)
I absolutely loved this book! I binged this in a day; I couldn't put it down!! I really liked the vibes of trying to get their one week fall trip right. Elle and Quinn have so many obstacles but in the end find their way. I especially loved the ending where the FMC goes after the MMC! Def recommend if y'all love a good rom com.
While I did really enjoy this book, I felt the ending was rather rushed. Also, I thought their friendship was cute, but them as a couple seemed very toxic. I would have liked more chapters from Quinn’s POV too. At times, I didn’t feel like I understood his decisions and actions. Overall, though, this was cute and a good reset book.
Thank you to Annabelle McCormack and BookSirens for the ARC of See You Next Fall!
I was absolutely captivated from the first chapter. Both Elle and Quinn were so relatable and real I couldn’t help but feel like I was part of the story.
I was giddy with laughter, had secondhand embarrassment after all of Elle’s silly misfortunes and felt my heart breaking when everything seemed to be falling apart.
It has been a long time since a book had me sobbing to the point I had to step away before finishing.
There is something about Annabelles books that are honest and heartfelt and authentic. Every page left me feeling like it was something I could have personally gone through bringing the story to life that much more.

Honestly, this book has a great outline to be great. However, it just wasn't. At least for me. For one, it's told in the third person. Me personally, I don't like third person stories. It's takes away from seeing and feeling how the characters actually feel. I don't like it. I want to hear all of their inner monologues. I want to see what Elle thought of Quinn of all hours of the day. but it was told from another POV and that took away from that.
Also, the beginning just wasn't hitting for me sadly. It took forever to get into.
Then you have the slow burn aspect of the story. Listen I'm not a slow burn kind of person, but if you can give a slow burn that builds tension and fire between characters, I'm all for it! Sign me right up !! However this book did not do that.
I really wanted to see more fire between Quinn and Elle but they got together and I felt like it wasn't built up with fire. If anything it gave me a few sparks.
God I really wanted to love this book. 🥺 and I feel bad that I didn't

Thank you to @netgalley and the publisher for providing me an E-ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review See you next Fall is a sweet and spicy romance that begins with a chance encounter in a broom closet that blooms into a friendship that reunites Quinn and Ellie every fall. While initially they both agree that friendship is as far as they are willing to go, their attraction to each other in undeniable. Are they willing to take the next step and risk it all?
See you Next Fall was such a fun and emotional read to ring in the season. I was rooting for the two characters the whole way! Definitely would recommend to anyone who loves a friends to lovers romance and the fall season!
Thank you NetGalley and Annabelle McCormack for the E - ARC in exchange for an honest review.
True rating is 4.5 ⭐️
This book took me by surprise! I don’t typically love the friends to lovers to strangers to lovers trope but this book made me a fan. Something about it was so heartfelt and genuine! I loved both the FMC & MMC - they both tugged at my heart strings and had me rooting for them.
My only gripe is that the ending felt rushed, but maybe I just didn’t want the book to end 😜

📖Snapshot: Elle is a bright and talented girl from Nashville who’s trying to figure out life. Quinn is an English viscount who accepts that his life is one of duty. They have nothing in common, yet when they meet, they instantly hit it off. They become long distance best friends who agree to meet up in the first week of October each year. Their friendship is tested over the years by family, relationships, duty, dreams, and their simmering feelings for one another.
💭 My Thoughts: What I loved: See You Next Fall was a super cute friend to lovers romance. I loved the contrast between Quinn’s stereotypical “reserved & dry Brit” and Elle’s open American girl persona. These 2 characters could not be more different than each other on paper, yet he author was able to create delicious chemistry between them. I also appreciated that the author got the characters together without making one of the characters change who they are in order to be with the other.
What I didn’t love: I think the “now” timeline needed more page time to hash out the changes the characters went through in each of their lives to get to their happy ending. As the reader, Quinn’s passion felt like it was out of left field, and I wasn’t really sure what Elle wanted exactly with her life until the very end.
A huge thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest review!
Elle and Quinn share a standing date as friends for four years. A relationship between them is impossible because her life is in Tennessee and his is in England. They’ve set rules, no sex and to always be honest with each other. As the years go by there is something deeper than their friendship, but in order for a relationship to work, they’ll need to be willing to take risks.
See You Next Fall is such a feel good friends to lovers story. It’s sweet and I absolutely enjoyed that their meets are in October. This book is a nice and cozy slow burn. Mistakes were made but I love a character that shows growth and makes a grand gesture, that really resonates with me. Overall, See You Next Fall was quite a delight to read and it can totally be a binge read!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC and the chance to read and review it honestly.
this book was a good friends to lovers to strangers to lovers trope! also the fact quinn dropped everything for elle no matter what made me swoon. and he’s british i mean c’mon😍
it is told in alternating timelines over the span of four years. as much as i enjoyed that, i found that i was forgetting details from the present timeline. i also thought that a lot of plot points were rushed (like so many people wanting to get married after barely being together/knowing each other). also quinn needed to do so much more groveling because DAMN my girl elle did all of it. also i wasn’t a huge fan of the constant inner monologues and thoughts of the characters. i found it frustrating.
quinn and elle’s love story gave me “you are in love” by taylor swift vibes. i just wish the book was a little bit better as a whole.
thank you to victory editing netgalley co-op for this arc!
Annabelle McCormack is a favorite author of mine. And if you haven’t read anything of hers I suggest this one as a perfect start. This was a sort of romantic tale (not in the beginning of course) about a guy and a girl who met at the wrong time and became very good friends. The live in different worlds and meet once a year. It was an open door romance and I loved it. The novel was a written well and I got to escape for awhile. I loved the vacations and their intimate moments. I’m so ready for fall now. Thanks AM for writing another wonderful novel.
I really enjoyed this book! It was so eay to "fall" (pun intended) in love with the fiendship of the FMC & MMC. Althought the unsung hero is the yellow suitcase, iykyk :). I enjoyed how the book surrounds fall and gives details of the storyline for each. Definitely worth checking out if you love easy to read friends to lovers and a heartwarming HEA.
I absolutely loved this book. I do not normally give out 5 stars easily, but something about the romance in this book was just so sweet. I was constantly swooning over Quinn and Elle's relationship, and my heart ached for them when they were long distance.
This story is told from dual POV and dual timeline which I really enjoyed. I liked being able to feel what both characters were feeling, while also fitting the puzzle pieces together as we went back in time. I also adore a good friends to lovers trope.
Quinn is a top book boyfriend, and I relate so much to Elle. I will definitely be purchasing a physical copy when it is released to add to my shelf. This was my first ARC read and I am so grateful that this book exceeded my expectations!

I have fallen in love with this book. I loved everything about it. It’s a slow burn romance over the space of 4 years. I loved the dual POV, and dual timeline from the past and present. The characters were lovable and had a lot of depth to their personalities. I felt that it was the perfect length and didn’t feel like anything was dragged out too long. Definitely one of my favourite reads this year.
I am a sucker for a good cutesy romance. and this is one of them. The opening phrase was amazing and their meet cute left me blushing and jumping all over the room. This was an amazing read tbh, i loved it!! I gave it 4.5☆ because of not being first person and because of the miscommunications between the characters, although my favorite parts were definitely when they were together. Quinn and Elle have such a cute story, ugh i want one like theirs. It's a slow burn over the space of 4 years, dual pov (which i love in books) and dual timeline, the past and the present, which can be confusing to get all the ideas straight, even though they are all "marked". When you read the ending, your perspective on the book will definitely change. I was so glad to see that Elle stopped caring about people's expectations and focused on her and her happiness, for once. It was very fast paced and although i prefer 1st person reads but it was clear who was speaking. Overall i loved See you next fall and i will definitely get more books from this author. Thank you to NetGalley and Annabelle McCormack for giving me an arc of this amazing book! :) P.s: as Taylor Swift would say "you know I love a London boy" (this song was literally written for this book)
I really tried to enjoy this book. It had a great premise to it but I thought it was rushed. I would have liked a lot more detail and way less miscommunication between main characters.
First thought: Absolutely loved it! This book will make you fall in love over and over again. Be warned you will not be able to put this one down.
It started with 2 strangers and random closet kiss that bloomed into an epic friendship between a girl from Tennessee and a Viscount from England. Their friendship was formed on 3 simple rules:
1. No sex 2. Complete honesty 3. Meet fist week of October every year
One kiss was all it took for Quinn to fall for Elle; she was fun, spontaneous and full of positive energy. When she was around he felt joy and he could take on the world. The only problem was they lived oceans apart and both had responsibilities that made anything more than friendship not possible.
Elle has been hurt before, on top of that she has put her life on hold to help her family. She is now just beginning to discover who she is and what she wants to do with her life. She loves Quinn but her friendship with him is not worth the risk of something more, as he’s her best friend.
The relationship these two share is just so adorable and inspiring.
“You’re here,” she managed as Quinn steadied her. “Always just one call away from you, Elle.”
This book navigates between the current and past 4 falls drawing you into the relationship Elle and Quinn share as they meet each year in the Fall. It is also told in dual POV so you get insight to how they both perceive the sane moment.
This is a must read book! Best part is debuts today
Tropes you’ll find: * Friends to Lovers * Different Worlds * Finding Yourself * Slow Burn
This book debuts today on August 22nd, 2023 and you can go read it now!
Summary: This story follows the friendship of Quinn and Elle, who met under unique circumstances and found themselves writing a contract to meet again the first week of October the following year. As life has other ideas, their plans are thwarted and they have to accommodate. As their friendship grows so do other unexpected feelings. Living “across the pond” from each other holds them to their agreement of only meeting the first week of October until they have to decide if that’s really enough.
I can’t say one bad thing about this book. Normally I’m not a huge fan of third person writing, but I loved this story so much that I couldn’t have cared less.
I’m trying to wrap my mind around my thoughts for this book but I just have so many! The characters are funny and downright lovable. Their instant friendship is so well written that I felt a part of the friendship and not like I was reading it from the outside. They both discovered so much about each other and themselves along the way. They found their true callings in life as well as their true love and partner as well. The emotions I felt at the end had me on the verge of tears and I could feel what Elle felt and I wanted nothing more than for it to all work out. The author wrote each beautiful and heartbreaking moment perfectly and I could not get enough of this story. I want to forget this book so I can read it again and again.

One of my favorite contemporary romance reads, ever. Elle & Quinn are simply the best. 🫶🏽
I didn’t even read the blurb before I started this so wasn’t sure what it was about and I was glued to it for a day and a half straight until I finished it. So. Freaking. Good.
Elle and Quinn become best friends during a chance meeting in a janitor closet in Georgetown for a conference. A friends to lovers romance that follows two friends from opposite sides of the world and drastically different backgrounds who spend the first week of each October together. Will their friendship overcome life’s challenges and possibly lead to more?
I fell in love with Elle and Quinn immediately throughout this heartwarming story told through flashbacks. The two face real challenges alongside fantastic friends. Cozy up in front of a fireplace with your softest blanket and prepare to be enchanted this fall!
Thanks to NetGalley and Annabelle McCormack for the ARC in exchange for a fair review.
This one took me a minute to get into but I enjoyed it over all. I was sad there was no epilogue but I am hoping we get a bit of where are they now in the second book of the series.
Well OKAY. While I don't love the will they/won't they or big miscommunications - I couldn't put this book down. I needed to know what was going to happen with Elle and Quinn. The MCs are both young they are still figuring out who they are as individuals and it was exciting to watch them figure it out.
This was a face paced, friends to lovers romance. Some things bugged me a bit and you just WISH they'd properly communicate with each other, but this was a great story. I prefer 1st person reads but it was clear who was speaking as it switched back and forth between time periods and MCs. Great novel!! Thank you Book Sirens for early access to this story.
This was such an adorable friends-to-lovers romance. I've read and loved all of Annabelle's contemporary romances and this one was no exception, and a little different from her others which are small-town romances. This had some cute You and Me on Vacation vibes with the whole idea of them only meeting up for one week a year and I loved(/hated for them) the long-distance (incredibly, UK/US) and struggles they had with the holidays and everything going on in their normal lives back home. I thought their friendship was so cute, their meeting and how it all progressed from there. Lots of funny moments and the timeline of each "Fall" in order with "Now" chapters in between really worked. You got to see kind of where they ended up but all the flashbacks were together and in order making it really easy to follow their relationship and fall in love with them the way they did with each other. Elle and Quinn were such great characters, I loved them both. Elle always standing up for what she wants and generally (although I'll admit she got a little selfish at the end) putting others first, she'd been a bit unlucky and had some hard times. Quinn too, but he was such a great friend to Elle, and also knew how to look after others. It was so lovely to see them both fight for each other and how they improved each other's lives. I would 1000000% recommend this book and all of Annabelle's. Definitely pick this up if you love a good romance!
