About the author

Born in a small town on the coast of North Carolina to strict parents, Tracy St. John started out as a quiet, shy child. She was typical for her small town: studying hard for good grades, fishing with her dad on Saturdays and attending church on Sundays.

When adolescence kicked in, so did full-on rebellion. School, family and church fell by the wayside as Tracy partied too hard with the wrong people. Somehow surviving her wild-child phase, she pursued several careers before finally settling on video production and writing.

A string of failed relationships prompted her to give up on love…which of course meant fate immediately tossed Mr. Right her way. After only 4 months of dating, she eloped with the love of her life. They just celebrated 14 years of wedded bliss.

Prior to penning her first erotic novel ‘Alien Embrace’, Tracy wrote commercials, television and radio promos, and training films for various government entities.

Tracy St. John now lives in coastal Georgia with her husband and son. She still enjoys fishing, and you’ll often find her haunting train museums with her locomotive-loving son. Besides writing, she also works in video production both in front of and behind the camera. She’s usually cast as the gun-toting bad gal, getting handcuffed in the end. She has no complaints.

Captain Zemos and clanmates Oret and Miragin is one of my favourite clans in this universe that the author created. These three and their crew are captured by human fanatics who want to sell them to their worst enemies.
Elisa Mackenzie is among the desperate Earthers trying to survive in the wake of Armageddon. She is in her mid forties and a virgin. She works in the ship of the stupid humans that held prisoners the Kalquorians.

This is a very sweet scifi erotica story. Lots of action and space battles besides the hot erotica scenes.

This book has been much anticipated by me.
The premise was quite different from the other books in this series: The protagonists were a little older (Don't fear: these aren't the Kalquorian "Golden Girls"!) and for the most part of the story the Kalquorians were held prisoners.
This series isn't ONE storyline rehashed ad nauseam – there are always new twists and turns.
I would advise to read the series in order to get a better understanding.
Ah, apropos "sex scenes": the protagonists didn't get hooked up with another too early in the story (I always find that quite disconcerting) and the sex evolved from the story, the growing attraction between the characters.
But sometimes even I wondered: you are doing that NOW? REALLY?? But this is erotic fiction and so I guess we must plod through these scenes… the hardships of a reader's life… [smirk]
I'm kidding! Everyone who didn't stumble upon this book dumb and blind (the hot cover might be a dead giveaway...) would be sorely disappointed without these really hot scenes. Thank you, Tracy St. John :)

Really liked this one, I haven't read any of the others... maybe I should? I hope there are also strong female heroines in earlier or later books too, I liked Elisa but she was a bit meek

I couldn't get into this. I really wanted to love this because it sounded good, but it fell short for me after a while

--I get it, you're an old lady. I don't need to be reminded every other page that you're 48 and a virgin.

--The story itself fell flat and felt like it didn't really progress. Once they got out of their cell the story just stayed constant and didn't really go anywhere

--The relationship wasn't very convincing. I know it's a fantasy alien book, but there has to be some realistic aspect to the relationship itself to make me fall in love with the characters. But I got nothing. HOWEVER I did like how the relationship started and they got to know each other simply because she was feeding them while they were imprisoned is a story that I love. I have only found one other story with that same relationship type and I loved that one.

I didn't love it. Honestly I think it's the female leads in this series that I don't seem to care for. I get that they come from a society where they walk on eggshells, but I just want one strong lead female that isn't stupid. There was one but halfway through she lost her strength. This one, the lead female was dull and the Kalquarians didn't do it for me.

48 year old Elisa MacKenzie is a loyal follower of her planet's religious teachings as she and her fellow survivors on a battle cruiser continue their fight against the Kalquorian Empire. They have been capturing Kalquorian warriors waiting instruction and guidance from the "Holy Leader" to tell them what to do with their prisoners.

Zemos, Oret, & Miragin of Clan Zemos and other Kalquor warriors have been kept as prisoners for months on a renegade Earth Battle Cruiser. Their one joy is the daily visits from the Earth female who delivers their meals. Though it's forbidden to interact they do,which could result in Elsie's death if it was to be discovered.

When news that the prisoners are to be taken to a planet notorious for keeping and abusing slaves Elisa feels she needs to warn the trio. Her loyalty lies with her fellow crew members but her heart is torn as she's developing strong feelings for the clan.

A slip in security makes it possible for the Kalquors to free themselves and they use Elisa as a hostage bargaining chip to get off the ship, although they really want to make her their Matara. Little do they realize that Earth doesn't place value on females who are with Kalquors and they've just signed her death sentence.


This is a standalone read that does build off of the previous installments although the author did include a "Prologue" to get the reader up to speed if you haven't. I do appreciate that myself as the different core clan titles can get confusing otherwise. It does feature a mfmm relationship and does include several mf scenes that are smoking HAWT and deliciously lip smacking good. What is it about aliens with their different anatomical differences.........

The overall story is a suspense action adventure format with a large side of erotic adult content fun. There is a slight BDSM slant but not to any degree like many of the previous installments in this series. The dub-con and abduction elements are so borderline that I'm really not sure I should have even tagged them as such. Fantasy capture would be more pertinent.

The bottom line for this read is that I love the author and series so I'm a fan of this one. Yet. For whatever reason, and I really can't decisively say why, is that this was one of the weaker installments in the series for me. Sure there's a well written plot/story line and yes the adult content scenes had me curling my toes but there was just something that was missing so my end opinion for this one isn't as high on my personal ratings scale.

Overall any fan of this series/author will enjoy themselves reading about our favorite alien nation and Earther females. For anyone who has an interest in checking it out do be aware the subject matter does address a dystopian core religious society that may be unconfortable to read about but such is life and the world of fictional erotica romance.

Boohoo…. :(

I absolutely love the Clans of Kalquor series by Tracy St. John, but sadly this one was probably my least favorite of all the Kalquor books I’ve read so far. :'( Alien Caged is the 8th book of one of the best SciFi Erotica book series ever!

This story didn’t feel as strong in my opinion as all the books that proceeded it. I feel like it lacked that little UMPH which all the other stories had. While the others keep you on the edge of your seat with a driven purpose, this story felt mosty as if it was written as an after thought. Feeling like a filler story, you would think that maybe everyone wanted these specific characters to finally get the own book. Only problem is that they were brand new characters, never before mentioned, so that was not the case. Unless I have completely forgotten about them which I find hard to believe given my love for these books.

Earther females in the Kalquor books have always had super tragic pasts which helps the reader become drawn to them on an emotion level. The heroine of this book, Elisa, wasn’t as emotionally traumatized as the other Earther females from previous stories. An innocent kiss when she was still a kid got her in trouble, but there was no real tragedy for me to gravitate towards her as a character.

I did like the Kalquorians in this book though! Zemos, Oret, and Miragin were an older clan who was willing to pick a Matara unable to give them children. Hell, they weren’t even interested in having offspring because they were so focused on their careers. That worked out great for Elise, a woman in her fifties, but it was sad that babies were not ever going to be an end result for this clan. Babies make the world a happy place!

I know all of the Kalquor books have been MMM or MMMF strictly including claned or potential clan members but after reading this one I hope that Joseph Walker, a Earther, and the single Nobek Almon get a story of their infatuation of each other! Oh yes indeed!!

I have loved St. John's "Clans of Kalquor" series, but after reading the last one, I was thinking maybe it was time to let it go. But I couldn't resist just one last taste, with "Alien Caged," and wow..what a surprise!

Seems like even maybe St. John thought it was time to kick her books up a notch, since this story is quite a departure from her usual -- an older heroine, lots less sex, but lots more suspense and action than usual..all of which are changes for the better.

Elisa is almost fifty (OMG..are heroines allowed to be that old??)!! She's been defeated by life, and just hopes to get through her days. However, she's really attracted to the captured Kalquorian officers that she sees daily when she brings their meals. Apparently older women get to have their fantasies too!! Zemos, Oret, and Miragin are attracted to her, and when they have an opportunity to escape and capture the ship, they persuade Elisa to go with them. Elisa's primary conflict is trying to reconcile her feelings for the aliens with her feelings of guilt over betraying her fellow-Earthers.

There's tons of fighting, shooting, hiding, betrayal, and there's St. John's trademark sex as well. But not nearly as much over-the-top, how-many-times in how-many-ways sex marathons as in prior works, which is a really refreshing change. The sex is appropriate and 'organic' to the scene.

Zemos is very hot, Oret is very sweet (if non-verbal), and Miragin is so very, very....very! Yumyumyum.

I liked this book. It is very different from anything I have ever read before. This is apparently a book in a series but I was able to follow the story and enjoy the book as a stand alone. Without giving too much away the basic premise of the books is that the planet Kalquor and Earth have just finished up a war that has decimated the population of both worlds. While Kalquor ended up winning some of the Earthers as they are called aren't ready to surrender. One of the Earther ships attacks a Kalquor vessel and imprisons many of the Kalquor men. The Heroine of the story is Elisa a dietician on the Earther Vessel and lone woman on the ship. There are three Hero's in this book. Miragin, Zemos and Oret. Because the female population has been almost completely destroyed by a virus in Kalquor the men have joined what they call a "clan" or family group. It seems that there are usually three men in the Clan and if they are lucky one women. 97% of the book takes place on the Earther spaceship while the Kalquor's try to get free. The book is well written and I found the characters to be interesting. What I especially liked about the Hero's in this story is how kind they were to the Heroine. The author was able to balance the kindness against some macho tendencies so you got the perfect blend of Hero. Not too big of a jerk but not wimpy and ineffectual either. So, in closing I would recommend this book to others.

I have read this entire series. I like the world building. It's engaging and fascinating. Certain parts of the anatomy of the male aliens are...well a bit much. The word unnecessary leaps to mind. Still it didn't keep me from reading the entire series.

This is one of my favorite Clans books. The whole concept was interesting and the action kept the plot line moving alone. I was sorry to see the book end.

I don't know how the author would feel but I would love to see a book, even a novella length one, that featured a clan that took a earth man instead of a woman. You know teaching a man that his sexuality does not mean death, or helping a young man who was forced into the war, etc. Got the idea because of the two characters Ensign Larsen (with Nobek Kom from the meatloaf scene) and Captain Walker (with Nobek Almon) Anyone with me on this?

Love the Kalquorans

I really enjoy this series. I like how the stories are each complete, but for into a larger story arc. I love having an older heroine, since it isn't all that common.

This is the first book I've read from Tracy and it surely won't be the last. Call me shallow, but the thing I anticipated the most while reading the beginning of the book was seeing how things were going to happen when they used their *TWO* d1cks.



...It was HOT!

I loved Zemos and Oret, especially how Oret became all cute and fidgety when it came to expressing his feelings with words. Elisa was sweet and caring, and I loved to see an older heroine. I like seeing variety in the romances I read, but it's often the same stuff of women in their 20's because she's got to be popping babies, and there's nothing wrong with that, but it's cool to see something new.

The love scenes were very hot, but I confess that the conflict parts with the cult freaks were a bit boring (FOR ME), and I skipped a few scenes.

I read most of Tracy St. John's Clans of Kalquor books starting in 2013. This was the first book I read. I wanted something fast and easy and choose this one to reread. Earth has become of religious regime ruled by fanatics so that women are treated as less than human. Kalquor is a planet on the brink of extinction due to lack of females being born. Kalquor wants earth women and earth wants nothing do due with the heathen planet. Clans, containing groups of 3 Kalquor men, seek a woman to become the center of their clans. This series contains BDSM elements such as bondage and multiple partners.

Much less of the dub-con and BDSM in this book relative to all others in the larger Kalquor series, thankfully ~ Kalquorians are still depicted as wholly alpha/Doms (the Imhdikos of the triads excepted) but this particular storyline required putting D/s dynamics into the background for 75 per cent of the story. So that helped.

Alien Caged is one of the few Clans of Kalquor books I’ve only read once…until now. That actually has nothing to do with the book itself, but more that prior to reviewing for the blog my reading tended to go in cycles by genre and I didn’t hit another sci-fi erotica read-a-thon before being recruited to review. So it was with immense glee that I jumped at the chance to reread Alien Caged this month. Sci-fi erotica is my favorite genre and St. John’s Kalquorians are one of my favorite of the alien races. How can you go wrong with a race that forms a clan of three men who hold their woman so dear that she is practically worshipped by them? Add to that the Kalquorian men’s anatomical advantage over earth men and said woman is in for the pleasure of her life.

One of the things I have enjoyed about this series is that after the first few books where the author took the time to build the universe of Kalquorian-Earther conflict and did so with the obligatory young, attractive child-bearing women her heroines began to grow, if you will. In the case of Alien Caged Elisa is still the requisite virgin as dictated by Earth’s now-defunct government, but she’s a 48 year-old woman who has spent the past several years serving as a dietician on a military ship. The only woman on a ship full of men with nowhere to dock for “shore leave.” Knowing how crude men can be when they have no sexual outlet and the respect with which Kalquorians treat women, it is no surprise that she found herself responding to the gentle attentions of Zemos, Oret, and Miragin. While Elisa’s attraction to and fantasies regarding Clan Zemos have increased over the past three months, she finds herself torn between the clan she’s come to love and her fellow Earthers when she learns the fate of the Kalquorians. When Elisa is caught up in the Kalquorians’ escape attempt she learns first-hand how determined the warriors are when they set out to conquer – both their foes and their woman.

As almost all of this novel takes place on the Earther ship that Elisa works, the romancing and seduction occurs in less than favorable conditions. Prior to their escape, Clan Zemos is behind bars and their time interacting with Elisa is limited to the brief meal delivery that occurs twice a day. Yet it is apparent from the outset that they have made the most of this time and getting to know one another whenever a guard wasn’t present. While it may seem odd at first, the men actually ramp up their seduction of Elisa while in the midst of their taking over the Earther ship. Most of their efforts are undertaken by their Imdiko Miragin as he has no military training and was on the Kalquorian ship when it was captured only because he was conducting interviews for a book, thereby giving him the freedom to focus on Elisa rather than the fight. This does not mean that neither Zemos nor Oret take no part in convincing Elisa to join their clan, but that their time with her is shorter. But less time doesn’t mean less intense when the seduction gets physical. Even as the men wage war on Elisa, the author keeps the battle for control of the ship front and center. The combination of action, intrigue, romance, and off-the-charts hot ménage sex keeps me returning to the Clans of Kalquor series, and Alien Caged certainly delivers in all of these areas. I cannot wait to read Alien Indiscretions next as its release snuck by me earlier this year.

Eliza is on a battlecruiser in the wake of Armageddon with radical Earthers loyal to Earth's religious cult-like teachings. They have captured some Kalquorian fighters who are to be used as bargaining chips to gain money and more control.

Clan Zemos-Zemos, Oret, and Miragin and their shipmates have been kept prisoners aboard the Earth battlecruiser for a few months now. Knowing their lives could end at any time, their bright spot is the daily visits from the dietitian, Eliza. Knowing Eliza is the only woman aboard the ship, they know not to draw too much attention to her. Earth gives little value to females. If they interact too much, Eliza could be dealt with harshly, which could include death.

Eliza is torn. The Kalquorians have always been nice and very respectful of her. She does not believe in Earth's religious teachings. Over time, she has developed feelings for the three men. Would they consider being with her? Most clan's looking for a Matara are looking for one to bear children. Eliza is past the age to do so. She ponders a dream that takes her to Kalquor and lives her life with Clan Zemos. But Clan Zemos has to make an escape for that to happen, and they just may have to use Eliza to get the ball rolling.

Alien Caged is book eight in this series and can be read as a standalone. The author gives a lengthy prologue which fills you in on events that took place prior to this book. I truly recommend starting at the beginning though, so you know how Earth and Kalquor are-and they are radically different! If you start here and like the book, please go back and enjoy the previous books! Each book has it's own unique story packed with action adventure and a healthy dose of erotic fun! Wow! If only I could get my own clan!!

So if aliens are your thing, you must read The World of Kalquor series! Trust me, you won't be sorry!

was a refreshing take in the 8th entry in the Clans of Kalquor series. I have followed Tracy St. John since the first book (Alien Embrace)and have yet to be disappointed with these on going tales.

Elisa is a perfect example of Ms. St. John's deft character building. A woman who has isolated herself for her own protection until she meets the heroes of our story. The men never expected to fall in love and their individual characters shine through as they cope with this gift. Plenty of intrigue and action move the plot along quickly. You find yourself unwilling to put the book down because you have to know what happens next. Kudos to Tracy St. John for keeping her series fresh.

To enjoy this book, you have to suspend you disbelief, a crazy lot.

If you can do that, you are in for a very sweet erotic Sciene Fiction Fiction Romance.

The heroine has grown up on conservative patriarchal Earth. She is almost 50 and is the sole woman on a battleship that has escape the destruction of Earth and the ending of the war.

She is tasked with feeding the Aliens Earth was a war with and of course, has a big crush on a clan of three males, who are of course wonderful.

The fact that the wooing and sex happens during a take over of the ship is just silly but I enjoyed this less BDSM more character driven entry into this series with older heroes and a kind heroine who is slowing deprogramming herself.

So, nice (if a burning hot sexy book can be nice. It Can)

Alien Caged is another exceptional installment in the Clans of Kalquor series. This story focuses on a Kalquor clan and an Earth woman, all of whom are middle-aged - for their species. Since technically, I fall into that same age group, I thought this was a nice idea. Survivors of the conflict between Earth and Kalqor would be of all ages, as this novel illustrates so well. Ms. St. John has thought a lot about the aftermath of an interplanetary war and therefore manages to keep writing great stories! After reading 8 books in this series, as well as 4 related books, I am still excited about the next book!

This is one of my favorite of Tracy's books. Oh who am I kidding? Every time I read one of her books it's my new favorite. I may be a bit biased about this particular book though as I love that it has more mature characters in it. The fact that the heroine has the same name as I do doesn't affect me at all . . . really. OK, OK, it was a total rush reading my name in the love scenes with these 3 totally amazing men!! *fans self*

Go out and get this book, heck, go get all of them. You won't regret it!
