Cruel King

Rate this book
Ava
The King boys have been the center of my life for as long as I remember. Theo has been my best friend since I was four, and our families are as close as can be.

Except Matthias. The oldest King son never failed to look miserable whenever I was around, and every word out of his mouth to me was cruel.

Until a snowstorm trapped us in his house, and we shared two perfect days together.

That was five years ago. Now his father’s dying, and he’s back at the estate and more vicious than ever, as if our time together meant nothing to him.

I should hate him. I should be able to forget him now that I have a chance to be happy with someone else.

There’s just one problem. I can’t stop thinking about the man who stole my heart one snowy night all those years ago.

Matthias
She thinks I don’t remember our time together. She’s wrong. I’ve never forgotten.

Not when I moved to a different continent. Not when I didn’t hear from her for five years. Not even though I’ve tried my damnedest to forget her.

I want to hate her. I should. But I can’t. All I can do is look on with jealousy as Ava finds happiness with another man.

What do you do when the one person standing in the way of your happiness is your own brother?

This book was just off. Matthias was so hot and cold, and Ava kept pushing and wouldn’t just walk away. Like girl, just go, you don’t deserve to be treated this way… his reasoning doesn’t matter. But even she was hot and cold some times, like when he walked in while she was in the shower and she was suddenly a raging bitch to Matthias. I was like where did this come from? And then when she ended up with Theo?! Ummm… so Theo has been saying she’s the future Mrs Theo King since they were kids, and she never believed that or seemed to feel that way about him. But then suddenly because the father’s sick and he has to come home, he’s ready, and she always thought they were soulmates? She had no trouble moving on to Theo… didn’t even have thoughts about maybe this is an issue cuz I’ve slept with his brother?! Even though I think Matthias was an immature a-hole, I’m glad he outed them the way he did. And Theo’s reaction?! Like I was WTF’ing through this entire book. So he went out and screwed anyone and everyone for years, expecting Ava to just sit around and wait and then ditched her and refused to talk to her, his BFF since childhood, and his bro cuz they slept together years ago?! But totally cool for him to be a manwhore. *eyeroll HARD* And then Ava’s behavior when Theo died… I get it’s hard cuz of how things ended and you didn’t get to work things out, but you DID apologize, he just didn’t want to hear it. But you spend TWO MONTHS grieving him, sleeping in his room with his pic when you’re with his brother?! This girl… seriously. Matthias was a jerk too but my gosh was he a saint for putting up with that for as long as he did and then just taking her back no questions asked. Ava was so immature and clearly confused and wanted whoever happened to want her at the time. Not a fan of any of the characters in this book.

And the parents… OMG! So Ava’s dad blamed Matthias’s dad for them not being together and his dad blamed hers. His mom wanted them together but after she passed his father was trying to force him into a life he didn’t want and the father didn’t think Matthias would be good for anyone cuz he was miserable so he’d make his wife miserable too. Ok douche, how about you don’t force your son into a miserable life? Also, how about if they love each other, you don’t get to decide if he’s going to make her miserable and they can’t be together. Ava’s father’s reluctance is never really explained other than him blaming Matthias’s father. And then for Matthias’s father to apologize cuz he wanted a clear conscience when he was dying?! And Ava’s father admitting he got letters to her from Matthias while she was gone to NH, and he thought it was right to not give them to her. And Theo not telling Matthias what Ava truly told him to tell Matthias because he knew she had feelings for Matthias… OMFG! What is WRONG with everyone in this damn book?!

I so love the BFF’s sibling and enemies to lovers tropes, and I was so hoping this would be amazing but, instead, it was a total disaster.

Cruel King is a captivating dark twisty tale full of frustration, angst, drama, suspense, sexual tension, and chemistry. Cruel is definitely an apt title for this King.
This push pull relationship left me frustrated at times and I wanted to smack someone, well I wanted to do much more harm, but we’ll go with smack and hug the others. Just as well that there was some redemption.
Cruel King an enemies-to-lovers trope that is an emotional train wreck and yanks at your heart strings. KM has cleverly woven a plot that is twisted and at one point disturbing, but it is so good that you can’t put it down.
What happens when everyone is against what your heart wants? Will he destroy the only one he loves? Will she forgive the one who has twisted her thoughts and all but broken her heart? What happens when three does not equal two?
You are going to need a good stiff drink after reading this.
With 5 king brothers there is plenty of fodder for future stories.
I can’t wait to dive into all of them.
I am now off to sample some more of KM’s books.

Intensity that could set you ablaze. So, this is the first book I have read by the talented K.M. Scott and oh was it a great first read. Twists and turns to keep you guessing as well as reality based making the moments that are already heavily emotional make you feel what they feel. Early on Matthias’ cruel words to Ava had me crying along with her. Dual perspective of Ava and Matthias.
Ava is the daughter of the King family’s estate manager. Matthias is the eldest son and heir apparent of the King fortune. Early into the story the similarities while different are prevalent in the different household dynamics. Both have lost their mothers, both are treated differently than their siblings, and both have been harboring feelings they didn’t release went soul deep. One fateful blizzard brings everything to the forefront, no more hiding behind warnings from their fathers. Matthias dreamed of Ava for years, but when finally given a moment alone with her his cruelty that he used as armor cracks, and he gives into the dreams if only for a short time. Ava is accepted by all the King family except the eldest son, Matthias, who has always been cruel to her for no reason she can think of. After he makes her cry repeatedly in the span of just a few short hours she snaps and confronts him demanding he explain why he hates her so much. In a moment of desire, he drops the façade, ignores the warnings, and finally kisses her and more. Everything feels right, like they were made for each other. No sooner is the truth finally revealed and she is forced to move away to her aunts. Five years and neither of them can forget that blizzard and what happened but now things are different.
Can they find their way back to each other? Will Theo take a stand that forces Ava to make a choice? I love how the author tells the reader up front that the story is based but that she doesn’t deal with the “protection” aspect of the characters physical moments, I agree sometimes it takes away from a heated moment by breaking it down too much with reality. The scenery is described perfectly especially when it comes to the reality of snow and how its beauty disappears when it’s in dirty piles cluttering the roads as it slowly melts. Now, the characters, my oh my they were fascinating, the complexing of each character helps build the reality of the moments and the intensity of the twists and turns the characters had to overcome to reach the end. After this I truly hope the author decides to turn this into a series, it would be interesting to see into the lives of the other four King brothers and what secrets they hold within.

Cruel King by K.M. Scott is very angsty enemies-to-lovers romance. I have read a few of Ms. Scott’s books before and really loved her ‘Club X’ series- so when I saw this pop up on my recommended book notifications, I didn’t hesitate and snapped up a copy to dive into.
This book twisted me up on so many levels. While it is incredibly well written, and the characters are fully realised individuals with electrifying chemistry that sizzles right off the pages, and their angsty push-pull is palpable- I’m still not entirely sure how I feel about this book. I will try to explain why I feel a little tied up in knots over my rating and review of this book.
Everything about it is very professional, polished, and well-presented. But going into the book I had high expectations having loved everything else I had read of Ms. Scott’s that I’ve read- so I set off to see what she had in store for us and immediately had doubts that I would be able to ‘like’ our MC, Matthias. He was a real jerk, and treated Ava so terribly that I wanted to slap him on Ava’s behalf- and then shake her silly for putting up with it. But I still held out hope. Then things got more complicated, with a bit of a love triangle thing happening with his brother (her best friend) and I became more dubious, because, to me it felt like cheating- even though technically it wasn’t cheating. But I really felt put off that Ava and Theo got together after she and Mathias had ‘been’ together- I know many years had passed and he was being a jerk, but still, my heart was hurt in the process lol- and I couldn’t help but feel like she’d cheated….and don’t get me started on his ‘marriage’ either. I was torn, because I was rooting for them, and for him to get his act together. I mean, obviously he does in the end, but the frustrating angsty push-pull, drama, and tension goes on for more than three quarters of the story- and by that stage I was quite anxious as to the actual outcome of the story. So, this is why I have been torn about my rating of the book and writing a review. This could/should be a five-star read, but my heart is still a little bruised…
Matthias has four hunky brothers, so perhaps this might be the first book in a new series- we will have to wait and see.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, K.M. Scott!

I’m not really sure how to word this one 😬I’m torn really because I want to share Ava and Matthias but at the same time I don’t want to because you need to read their story for yourself so they can share it with you , does that make sense !? ❣️📚

My heart was in the authors hands and she squeezes hard and as it feels like my hearts is going to stop she releases her boa constrictor grip , I catch my breath and then she squeezes again and so we do this “ dance” till the very beautiful end …,,,,please be patient with Matthias though , there’s so much to this man 🤗

Ava and her dad lived on the property where her dad was the estate manager but also more than that to the patriarch of the King family and she grew up with these boys ( Theo, Marius , Matthias , Kellan and Ronan ) and she was especially close to Theo , it’s like they were joined at the hip 🤣who used to joke that she was going to be his wife one day and everyone thought their story would unfold that way ….,,

Matthias was always harsh towards Ava and at times cruel and man I just want to climb into this book and really just give a slap around the head ! During a snow storm they’re “ forced” to spend time together and things take a very different and steamy turn and I feel like butterflies are dancing in my heart but not for long because Ava is sent to her aunt and she really doesn’t have much choice and Matthias never gets the message she sent …..this is the one time I want to “ shoot the messenger “ 🥲

Tragedy strikes and the boys come home and Matthias is harder , crueler and colder than before , slowly but surely pieces of the puzzle is put together and healing can take place and those butterflies return and I’m about to celebrate when another crushing blow hits and this time I really felt like there was no turning back but there’s thus thing about love , it endures and these push back against all odds and I don’t think there’s enough Kleenex to get me through this beautifully sad story but I’m grateful I held on by a thread because ever cloud has a silver lining …..

As much as I loved Matthias , Ava and their little family another person held a special place in my heart , dearest Eleanor you have a heart of gold and you’re an angel without wings 😍

Wow.......this story was very intense. Drama filled emotional roller coaster, romance, regrets and mistakes, this book had it all. The love/hate relationship I had with Matthias.....I get it....at the end ... I get it. I loved Matthias and Ava's journey by the end..it was just a bit bumpy and at times totally cruel.

Ava lives within the confines of the King estate with her father. Ava is really great friends with all the King boys, except for one.....Matthias. He is the oldest of the King boys and by far his words to her can be cruel and relentless. All Ava wants to understand is why she is hated so much by Matthias. When a bad snowstorm hits....and Ava's father and Max King are away with some of the King boy, Ava is alone with none other than Matthias. At first, Matthias is ruthless in his words. When he lets a little of his guard down, he is taken by Ava and just how much he loves being with her.......but that is displeasing to her father when he arrives home and she is sent away...leaving Matthias hurt and with so many questions...

Years down the road, Matthias is cruel and heartless as ever....his father's pressures of being the first son taking over the family business..........Matthias must travel back home for family affairs and he runs into Ava again. Matthias is relentless as ever, belittling Ava and just his words are gut punching. Will Matthias and Ava ever know what truths are out there when they continually hurt each other in ways that are unimaginable, especially getting answers from years past.......

This story was just emotional.....and just hard to put down. The love of Matthias and Ava....... my heart and what they had to go through...

I really enjoyed this romance. It is a very emotional read. This book had me laughing and crying and feeling really frustrated by Matthias and the way he treated Ava. He loves her and wants her but he treats her so badly that I just want to shake him and make him realise his mistakes.
Ava has been friends with Theo King for years. She gets on well with all the King brothers apart from Matthias. For some reason Matthias hates her and Ava has never known why. Until a snow storm leaves them stuck together for 2 days. During these 2 days secrets and feelings are uncovered that neither realised existed.

Fast forwards 5 years later and after Ava disappeared Matthias trys to move on with his life but forgetting about the only girl he has ever wanted isn't going to be easy. When he returns because his father is dying he sees Ava again and all those old feelings resurface. But now there's a even bigger problem. Ava has moved on and is now with another man. Matthias's brother. How can he justify wanting a woman if having her breaks his brothers heart?
This is a story of passion, hidden feelings, love/hate relationships, and a lot of confusion and twisted stories which keeps this couple apart and separated.
Will they ever get it together? As secrets begin to be revealed and the actions of others are come to light can this couple now make it work?
There is so many things happing that neither Matthias or Ava are aware of but that keeps them apart. You find yourself screaming at them to wake up and see through people's lies? I loved this romance. It was emotional and gripping. I couldn't stop reading it.

I adored this romance story of Theo, Ava, and Matthias! It's a tale of the King brothers, and their estate manager's daughter Ava. The families grow up together, Ava and Theo as inseparable best friends while Matthias, the oldest King brother seems to have a pure hatred of Ava but why? You'll not want to put this book down from the second you read the first page, you will want to know what the big secret is that happened between Ava and Matthias, and why he would hate her any more than he already does.

K. M. Scott is a masterful author, who knows how to grab readers' attention and then haunt them with the what-ifs throughout the story. The characters are so expertly created that you feel for them at every step, from love to heartbreak, anger to passion. The setting was portrayed so beautifully that I got chills when Ava fell face-first into the snow, I could feel the warmth of the fire as she warmed herself in front of the fire. I cannot wait to read more books by this author, she has a way of keeping me guessing throughout the entire book, never knowing what she may throw at Ava. She is one of the strongest characters that you will fall in love with, and just have a heartfelt bond with. Then you have all of the King brothers who each have a unique personality all their own. I wished there were more books about this amazing family because it ends with so many options to continue building a story around each of the other brothers' lives as well as our lovebirds.

Grab some tissues because you are going to need them with this book. There is some talk about grief so a little trigger warning for you.

It's been a long time since I have fully fallen in love with a story and cried my way through it. This one had me feeling all kinds of emotions.

Ava and the King brothers have grown up together since she lives on their Estate. Her father works for their father. The brothers and her experience losing their moms and growing into adulthood together. The oldest Matthias has been anything but nice to Ava all these years. Theo and her are best friends and he always jokes she's going to be Mrs. Theo King one day.

The dynamic between Ava and the oldest King brother changes when they are stuck together during a snowstorm several years ago. Fast forward 5 years and they discover that his dislike towards her is all because he was told by both fathers to steer clear. Even though he really didn't want to.

Now Ava and the brothers are all back at the estate because the elder Mr. King is dying. When Matthias spills the secret he and Ava have shared all these years to Theo. The real test is can Theo and Ava repair their friendship? Will things change between Matthias and Ava to go back to those 2 snowy nights they had together? Will grief pull them apart?

I could see this book playing out as a movie the whole time I was reading it. It did not disappoint and as the first book I've read from this author I am now HOOKED!

The King family is well known in the world of business. Matthias, being the oldest, is being groomed to take over soon. Ava is the daughter of Mr. King's driver and has had the privilege of growing up alongside the King boys with Theo being her best friend. She carries a torch for Matthias, but he always treats her as if she is not good enough to step foot in his family's home. Little does she know that Matthias returns her feeling but has been trying to fight them as he doesn't feel like he is worthy of her. When a snowstorm moves through these two are stuck together. The hate turns to passion as they can no longer fight their attraction. When everyone returns her father decides to send her to her aunt's home and she asks Theo, who is supposed to be her best friend but secretly in love with her, to pass the message along to his brother, but he conveniently forgets. Five long years have passed, and she is now back at the King estate. The have to potential to be together and happy but there is someone that stands in the way. Will they get their happily ever after? This was a quick, easy read and very hard to put down. The growth of the characters was great, and they were well rounded. It was a wonderfully written story and I do hope that this is the beginning of a series about this family. I would love to read stories about the other King brothers. As a first-time reader of this author, I enjoyed her writing style and look forward to reading more of her work.

This book was so good!! I am so glad that I read it and I can't wait to read more from this author! This one was a first from her, but defiantly won't be a last for sure! Ava and Matthias don't get along. He's never been nice to her, but she's best friend's with his brother Theo so she's always around. Growing up together their families are super close, but she doesn't know why he always looks so miserable around her and every word towards her is cruel. She hates the way he treats her and for the life of her she doesn't know what she ever did to make him hate her. One winter day after an argument and fall Ava is laid up at the estate. Then if things couldn't get worse they're snowed into the estate, while the rest of the Kings and her father are snowed out in New York. I don't want to give to much away, but one thing leads to another and the next thing she knows, she's in this crazy love triangle with him and Theo! Who will she end up with? I really liked both brothers for her in different ways, but I never saw some of the twists in this book coming! If you love a good contemporary romance, enemies to lovers, a little jealousy, and easy banter between characters this is one you need to add to your to-read list!

This was a great book. The plot was very well developed and thought out.

This book follows the story of Ava and Matthias. Ava is a bubbly young woman who enjoys the small things in life. Especially when it involves being around one of her best friends. Matthias is a man who walks around like he hates the world. He has a lot of pressure to be the best and follow a plan that was laid out for him.

Matthias and Ava have known each other for Ava's entire life. Ava has always wondered what she did to anger the eldest King brother. Little did she know it would take one snowstorm and two days to find out what she had done to anger him. After thinking she figured him out everything changes at the drop of a hat.

Five years later and they are back in the same boat as before. Ava not knowing what she did and is being treated cruelly by Matthias.

What made Matthias start hating her again? Does time change people? Will they work through their problems or will this last fight keep them apart?

Read to find out what happens with Matthias and Ava. Have some water on hand to handle the heat between these two.

First and last time I’ll read this author. How are there so many positive reviews? How did this not get edited to less than a hundred pages?

The only reason I finished this book is because I purchased it.

The whole book could have been cut way back. There’s so much repetition. I mean, even when the point is made through the dialogue, the author continues to beat us over the head with it.

The dialogue is boring too. Characters are so immature and one dimensional. Lots of telling with very little showing. Lots of redundant statements.

It just goes on and on.

Even the love triangle felt forced. I honestly didn’t believe Theo loved Ava, he was just jealous.

Also, can we talk about her father not giving her letters and she doesn’t argue or press him about it. Just says, that’s okay and we move on to the next conflict.

Reading this reminded me of a voice to text news article.

I probably should have highlighted some of the more irritating parts but I couldn’t be bothered as I mostly skimmed. Even the sex scenes were rushed. Turns out neither King brother knows the meaning of foreplay.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Cruel King by K.M. Scott was definitely an emotional ride from the depths of anger and hatred to elation and love. Matthias King is honestly one of the the rudest, unhappiest dudes I’ve ever read about. His demeanor is a little irritating at first because he seems to have literally no redeeming qualities except being attractive. Ava Sutton on the other hand is a sweet as can be and doesn’t understand the hostility from the oldest brother of her best friend. And truly I didn’t either, even after everything. I didn’t understand how everything could have happened so quickly in the two days that it did based on the fact that he seemingly hated her (and basically anyone alive). However, I can appreciate the redemption and maybe a little of his backstory. The story itself was good and I found myself wanting to find out how he wins her over. It was a fast read for me based on that alone. I was truly excited to finish it. I am hoping this turns into a series because I’d love to read about the other King brothers.

This is quite an angsty story that had me wanting to toss my Kindle to the side numerous times out of frustration!

Ava is friends with all of the King boys...except Matthias (which means that's who she is going to have feelings for, right?!?). She is best friends with Theo (who has feelings for her)...and Matthias treats her like the dirt on his shoe (cruel is the perfect way to describe him). This creates quite the unrequited and messy triangle. Forced proximity between Ava and Matthias allows them to act on their feelings...but it's like it never happened once they are back in the real world. Both go on to see other people...but will these two ever be able to be truthful with the feelings they have for each other?

This book had me frustrated so many different times. The push and pull between Ava and Matthias is full of angst and I wanted to knock sense into both of them! While the ending allowed some of the frustration to dissipate...I'm excited that there are more brothers that books can be written about!

Cruel King with its dark twist, is the epitome of an enemies-to-lovers romance. Ava practically grew up around the King family. Theo, a King brother, is her best friend. She got along with the whole family, except for Matthias. Matthias always seemed to loathe her and her, not know why. Until one day, fate had them trapped together. Once they were free, however, he went right back to being the cruel King brother. If only Ava knew how Matthias was feeling. Did Ava misinterpret Matthias or is it meant to be? Find out in Cruel King.
Cruel King is full of twists, turns, and some of them dark. At times you want to love the characters, while other times they frustrate you to the point of wanting to scream. The characters are relatable, and their feelings can be felt through the page. The book is enthralling and intricately woven.
I enjoyed Cruel King from the beginning to the end. I did not want to put it down. K.M. Scott is a master storyteller, leaving no stone unturned. It left me wanting more.

Sorry, but...

I enjoyed this book up until the halfway point, Some things really bothered me.. Family is incredibly important to me, and one of my biggest pet peeves is someone coming between siblings. With so many people in the world, it's beyond selfish to damage such a close bond. (If you don't want to know don't continue reading my review) I thought it was beyond messed up and selfish for Ava to fall in love with Matthias, sleep with him THEN sleep with the younger brother and to make matters worse not tell that brother that she slept with Matthias first... and to do it under the same roof and in the room next door. No excuse was ok enough to do that. She claimed all along she couldn't understand why he 'hated' her.. Then the very ending was odd. With the 'accident', we are supposed to believe that Ava was more broken-hearted than Matthias? His own and closest brother. I don't care if that was her best friend it was his brother. I didn't like Ava. I found her very selfish.

WOW!! This is my first book by this author, and what an intense way to dip my toe in! I didn’t even feel myself finding the groove of this book, I just dove right in, and the author swept me away immediately. I couldn’t put it down and found myself staying up late to see what happened next just to find myself twisting and turning in the story. The characters will have you at the edge of your seat, yelling at the book, and rolling your eyes all while tugging at your heartstrings. The amount of tension and chemistry in this story is astounding, and I thought it was written incredibly well to make you feel each of those emotions as your own. I won’t give anything away, but you will absolutely be clamoring for more from this author after finishing this book!

This is an amazingly written enemies to lovers trope. I was constantly turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. The hate to hate to maybe like to love is beyond what I was expecting. There are twists and turns that I didn't see coming but were everything to the story line. The growth of the characters felt organic and not rushed or dragged out. The flow of the book was well done. It didn't feel like certain scenes carried on or others were rushed. It was a very steady fast pace. Well, not super fast, I just read fast. This book made it hard to put down and I found myself getting agitated at anyone who interrupted me reading. This is how you know it is a good book. I highly recommend reading this if you just want to escape for a few and forget about your day to day.

This was a great 5 star read. My emotions were all over the place during this read. This is a great enemies to lover romance. Ava is friends with all of the King boys with the exception of Matthias. For some reason he is mean to her and she can’t figure out his problem. When fate steps in they get a chance to drop their walls but there is a twist and Ava is sent away. We jump ahead a few years, Matthias returns home and of course he has quite some hurtful words for Ava. I felt the same emotions as Ava during his hurtful attacks. There is so much more to this great read. Will they finally get the truth and a HEA? The author does a great job with her writing and I can’t wait to read more from her. I found this story absolutely riveting. I was totally surprised at the turn in brothers. I was going for the other brother. The chemistry between Ava and Mattias was *BOOM* electric!! The dislike he had for her and her determination to find out why he hated her kept me glued to this story. Absolutely engaging and intriguing, one cannot put this story down because you must know what's going on like the nosy town gossip. You can't miss a minute. So well-written and well-done, I loved it all from the characters to the storyline. Eleanor, the housekeeper, is my favorite and her eyeraising brow when she catches those moments. This is an absolute must read.

This book definitely had me in my feelings. In the beginning I disliked Matthias a lot and I couldn't believe that Ava gave in so easily to him. Later in the story I just wanted Matthias to find happiness with Ava. There is so much drama, hurt, anger, misunderstanding, family, friends and so much more. I didn't even know how to feel about Ava and Theo, it just felt so wrong after the incredible couple of days Ava and Matthias spent together. There are a couple of twists and turns in this story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and the author's writing style. I look forward to reading more books by this author. I highly recommend this book.

Cruel King

This is a fantastic billionaire romance featuring Ava and Matthias. I loved the dynamic between the two of them. I loved the dynamic that they have known each other for a really long time and that their families are super close. This added layers of complication to each of both Ava and Matthias. It is was a nice twist that she is also looking at a lifetime of happiness with Matthias’ brother. I feel that this was a key piece of the story that really added depth to the characters. I think that this book was very well written and it definitely kept me wanting more. I had a hard time putting it down! I definitely recommend this one!

What an intense, exciting and beautiful story about the King family and their relationship with each other, and best friend, Ava. Growing up together, some closer than others, always will be some conflict. Years after leaving home, Matthias comes home to find the woman he has loved, caring for his father. So many mixed emotions, so many hurt feelings, because of thing’s people did, that they weren’t aware of. This story will make you swoon, smile, cry, and feel so many emotions. Loved this story, beautifully written. Another great story from KM Scott.❤️

What an utterly captivating, emotional and well written book this is. From the moment you start reading it is impossible to stop. The author takes you on such an emotional roller coaster with the characters. I felt on edge the whole time I was reading about them, never quite sure how things would turn out.
The story was amazing. There was sp much going on and I just had to know where things would end up. This author always knows how write brilliant books and I think this has to be one of my favourites so far.

Brilliant!
This standalone was really engaging. It’s a billionaire with a bit of bully romance. So many twists and turns that kept me on my toes. There’s family secrets, so much history, and drama. I found the characters easy to connect with and loved having each of their POV. The emotions throughout the book - I laughed, I sighed and I actually shed a tear or two. Definitely not one to miss. Highly recommend.
