This series had me up and down, back and forth and then up and down again! I loved it and hated it all at the same time. Okay, not really hated, but it kept my emotions in all twisted and topsy-turvy! I cried several times, laughed and giggled until my sides hurt, and sighed with all of the dreaminess and the sexy / hotness that is known as Evan and Dane. I felt the emotions of the characters, and I do mean FELT! *sigh* To feel that feeling of first love again. Books that can make that kind of emotion flow so freely are amazing. This series is definitely one of them. The author is amazing, she captivated me and held me there until I couldn't see straight from reading. She used the words in such a way that will leave you wanting to read it again and also beg for more.

Emerge has an amazing love triangle. We all know that I'm a sucker for a love triangle, but this one....tops them all! I have never been so caught between two guys! It was impossible to choose a side. They both had me begging for more!

Evan is perfect. Country boy. Athlete. Protective. Sweet. Need I go on? Like I said, perfect. I quickly fell in love with his Southern charm. Being a Southern girl myself, I guess I will always have a soft spot for it lol! The way that Evan was so in sync with Laney was just so sweet! You could tell, without any doubt, that he was 100% committed to her. It was so cute and heartwarming!

Dane is the one with the ‘bad boy’ shell. Acts like he is made of stone and nothing can take him down. Until Laney breaks through his walls. She is the one that has the power to get inside his head and learn who he really is. Underneath the mask, Dane is a really sweet and passionate person. Being an alpha and protective type and throw in the fact that Dane can sing....perfect. Now you see why I had such a hard time choosing which side of the triangle to be on.

I absolutely loved the rest of the crew. I really liked how each and every one of them connected into the story. It really made the book feel like a world versus just a story.

After finishing Emerge, I was heartbroken. I wasn’t for sure what was going to happen and if i was going to be happy about it. I was a bit afraid to read Embrace. At first, I was still heartbroken and Evan was still making me cry. But slowly I started to heal along with the characters. Okay, to be honest, I was pissed when Evan started to move on. I couldn’t believe out of all the characters that could have been written, he was moving on with ***HER***!!!! Ugh, I strongly disliked that chick. As time went on, just like Sawyer did, she grew on me. I really started to like her and accept her with Evan after the scene at the funeral. I laughed so hard! I never would have thought she would say something like that. I accepted her into the Crew after that. Turns out that she’s a pretty awesome girl. Good going Evan.
So I was finally happy for Laney and Dane, along with Evan and his girl. I loved seeing different sides of the characters and learning more about them. I might have even giggled in delight when Evan became part of the Crew. Its amazing how strong the Crew’s bond is. They are like a family.

I absolutely and positively loved the last chapter. Who knew all of that was inside of Sawyer? I really enjoyed getting to know that side of Sawyer. I absolutely cannot wait for his book! I just know it's going to be amazing! I miss him already.

Entangled was a surprise for me. I didn’t read the synopsis before I read the book. I didn’t see the point, I was already 100% hooked on this series. I loved how it showed that just because we grow up, it doesn’t mean that we grow apart. True friendship will always last.
I wanted more of Sawyer in this book, but I see why he wasn’t. I know that all my questions about him will be answered in the next book. So it was bad that he wasn’t more involved in this book, but good also because it works with this series and leads up perfectly for the next book.

The last few lines of the story melted my heart. I think it was the perfect ending.

“We’re all just one, big, crazy, loving, extended family...forever entangled in one another’s lives, and pretty damn blessed.”

I think it really matches with the series so far and it makes me just that much more anxious for the rest of the series. I love the Crew so much! Amazing bunch of characters!

My Review:

5 Star Review - Emerge (The Evolve Series # 1)

I recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book by S.E. Hall. This book includes passion, laughs, heartache, betrayal, and secrets.

Laney and Evan have been friends since elementary school. They have just started to get closer but are about to leave for different colleges. Can the relationship survive or will people come between the two friends? They agreed to break up and just be friends while apart but can they really stop feeling they way they do?

Laney is missing Evan and is trying to make friends and fit into college without him. Dane is turning into a great friend. He is sweet, handsome, and very protective. But she feels guilty about making friends with him. The more times she spends with him the less lonely she feels.

The more time that goes the more Laney and Evan are losing touch. The texts and the calls stop coming and maybe it's time to move on... But sometimes even your closest friends what to tear them apart.

How can Laney choose between Evan and Dane when they are both different people and make her feel different things?

My Review:
5 Star Review - Embrace (The Evolve Series # 2)

I recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book by S.E. Hall. This book includes passion, laughs, heartache, and secrets.

If you have not read the below from this series I would recommend reading that book first:
Emerge

Evan is trying to deal with losing Laney as even a friend. He is at a new school and only knows Laney and he is not talking to her right now as he is hurt.

He is attracted to a girl but he is not ready for a relationship. He needs to heal his heart after Laney and does not want to use anyone.

Will he be able open himself up to love again or because of what happened in the past is he better off not letting love in?

Will other members of the crew be able to pull him out of his shell and open his eyes to new friends and new love?

My Review:
5 Star Review - Entangled (The Evolve Series # 2.5)

I recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book by S.E. Hall. This book includes passion, and laughs.

If you have not read the below from this series I would recommend reading that book first:
Emerge
Embrace

This is a novella about the growing relationship between Dane and Laney. You also get to know a little bit about the others in the crew.

You learn more of Dane and Laney's fears about the relationship and the future.

All of the books in this series are funny. You will find yourself laughing out load at the wit of S. E. Hall. She know just how to lighten the mood when things are getting tense.

Look forward to the next book in this series out in 2014.

S.E. Hall never fails! I reviewed the first book of the Evolve series back in Sept. I raved that I was in love with it an I still am! Emerge,Embrace, and Entangled are amazing books that I couldn't put down, I love the characters of this series! You have Laney, she's a tomboy and country girl who has this best friend Evan, in Emerge we start with Evan wanting to be more than friends with Laney, but can going to different colleges have an affect on their relationship? Laney meets Bennett her spunky roommate, during their first week at college they go to a "hall crawl" to meet the other residents of the dorm. That I we're WE meet Sawyer,Tate,Whitley, and the VERY YUMMY Dane... Dane takes liking to Laney.. can Laney stay faithful to Evan and not give into temptation? This book was VERY captivating , I loved how this group connected at the beginning, Zach comes in a bit later, he becomes a good friend to Laney through out the book. In Embrace we lead off with Evan at Southern College to be with Laney. Let me warn you now! I waited for this second book to read but got caught up with life and couldn't read it :/. Boy am I glad I got to now! I love how I dove right in Embrace an not miss a beat. Now I'm trying to be good here an not give away too much because these books are MUST READ I am absolute love with is series! I love the whole "Crew and so want them to be ny friends! Entangled is short and sweet an loved embracing a certain couples relationship ;) it's sexy, cute, fun HOT HOT HOT!!!! I seriously recommend you getting the boxed set.. ( I hear it's on sale ;)) I so can't wait to read Sawyers story I LOVE his mouth and crack up at what comes out of it.. what do I give it you ask?? MUST YOU ASK??? I give it 5 stars of course!! Go buy it NOW!!! ~Chris :)

This is a wonderful series. I absolutely loved reading it. As the series goes on the characters mature.

In the first book, Emerge, we get to meet everybody. In Emerge, Laney and Evan go from best friends to boyfriend and girlfriend. Then they end up going to different colleges. During a Hall Crawl, Laney meets Dane and his friends. I loved the Hall Crawl scene. Emerge was well written and it's easy to connect with the characters. The ending leaves you wanting more.

Embrace is the second book in the series. You need to read Emerge first. Embrace picks up where Emerge left off. At first, I had a little trouble getting into Embrace. Evan gave up so much to be with Laney, I had expected him to fight for her. I guess it wouldn't have matter because Laney already gave her heart to Dane. I loved the summaries of Evan's failed dates, they were very funny. I was not a big fan of Whitney in Emerge but S.E. Hall does a great job making us like Whitney is this book. This a great second book to the series and Evan gets a HEA.

Entangled is a short story. This a quick read but it's good. Entangled also is a funny read. You'll have to read it to find out what Dane calls Triple D and what Laney calls Pussy Persuasion, those scenes are definitely laugh out loud scenes. It gives you a Crew fix while you are waiting for Sawyer's story, Entice.

All three books are great! I can't wait for the next one.

This series absolutely rocked my socks! Once again, we have a female lead going to college and leaving the boy from home behind. Once again, she chooses someone new and it is the perfect love match. This time, it is magical, but still believable. Laney doesn't just jump to the next new thing. She fights it every step of the way, until the inevitable hits her in the face like a cold glass of water thrown at her. I am in love with Dane and his relationship with Laney is perfect, a fairy-tale with just the right amount of realism. The entire Crew has created their own college family, protecting, loving, laughing, and fighting. Each character has a complete and individual personality that is brought to shine. From beginning to end I was intrigued, spell-bound, and captivated. You can bet I'll be one-clicking for each and every episode in this continuing story.

There was just enough of everything in this series to make it awesome. In some series you like the first book but not the second as much or the third sucked but with this? Although it's not over yet, I can tell by how much I loved every page of these three, whatever is to come with Sawyer's book I have no doubt will be awesome. I've never highlighted so many great lines or laughed so much reading in my life. Truly a great series and if you haven't read it and met Dane, Laney, Evan, Tate, Sawyer, Bennett, Zack, Whitley, Parker and Hadley, you're missing out on a great cast of characters you will come to love every one of. I can't wait for more from SE Hall, a truly great new author to watch! ❤️ Kellie

I absolutely love this series and S.E. Hall! The Crew is so amazing and each story in the series is so well written and makes you envious of the friendships and relationships these characters have.

Whether it's love triangles, friendships, finding the person made for you, family drama or all of the above this series has it all. You will start Emerge and next thing you know time flew by and you finished Entangled and you are left wanting more of the crew.

If you haven't read any of these books you should definitely get this box set today and sit down, relax and be prepared for some of the best books you will have read in a long long time! 5 + stars for every book in this series

Thrilled to have discovered this author/series this week! You know you've got a good book when you're literally laughing uncontrollably on one page after tearing up a couple chapters earlier. I adore the Crew, their loyalty to each other, and the relationships between them. A rare book where the friendships are just as important and pivotal as the relationships. A great balance between steamy scenes and an interesting plot line. I thought the third book was maybe a bit unnecessary, but I love Dane and Laney so much that I'm not going to complain!

Emerge (Evolve #1)

Laney and Evan have been friends since they were children. Always there for each other, their friendship was more meaningful than that of a typical boyfriend/girlfriend type of relationship. They trusted each other undoubtedly, finished each other sentences and were each other's support system. So when they both decided to take their relationship a step further, they didn't doubt that it would work out.

S.E. Hall did a wonderful job in bringing to the surface Laney and Evan's range in emotions throughout the story. I could easily understand where Laney was coming from and why she had such a hard time being apart from Evan and why she so easily connected with Dane. I appreciated the fact that the author didn't take the easy way out and made Laney flighty and inconsiderate. No, she made her analyze her feelings and the reasons for them. She was honest and considerate, which greatly helped me accept the resolution of the conflict.

I enjoyed Laney's inner struggle, her humor and ability to sympathize with all members of the Crew. I especially enjoyed watching how her connection with Dane grew and strengthened throughout the story. They interactions were entertaining, honest and served to establish the foundation for the relationship they were bound to have.

All the secondary characters introduced in the story added to it in their own right. I loved how they all got along and how they related to Laney and to each other. I admit I had mixed feelings about the outcome, but I couldn't wait to keep on reading.

Embrace (Evolve #2)

After reading Emerge I was excited to continue with Evan’s story. I loved him in that book, even if at times I thought he was a bit too perfect and clueless. I felt for what he was going through and wanted to see him find his happily ever after.

Packed-full of conflicting emotions, witty and honest dialogue coupled with the return of the Crew, Embrace was everything I was expecting and more.

For one, Evan’s love interest was a surprise for me. Never in my wildest dream did I think that the author would pair Evan with *beep*. What was more surprising of all was that I found myself liking her more and more as the story progressed. She and Evan had great chemistry and their connection, although immediate, was mainly based on friendship so to see it developed into something more meaningful was great for me. I loved watching the range of emotions that Evan displayed, especially in regards to his attraction for *beep*. His doubts and hesitations were valid and I appreciated that the author did not dismissed them easily. I enjoyed their friendly banter and the way they relied on each other unintentionally. Their friendship was something that blossomed with each interaction they shared. It wasn’t rushed or malicious, which is what I liked the most.

It was great to see how Laney and Dane’s relationship was coming along and how, slowly but surely, Evan found a place within the Crew. Like before, I enjoyed what each character brought to the story and how they all interacted with each other. I admit that now I’m more intrigued than ever to get to know Sawyer’s story. That’s one character that caught my attention from the very beginning and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for him.

Entangled (Evolve #3)

So it’s summer break and Laney, Dane, Tate and Bennett are spending it fixing up their houses before school starts while the other Crew members are at the farm helping Parker.

This was so such a fun story and nothing like what I was expecting. There were some funny moments, some serious moments and some very hot moments too! It had everything I needed to get me through while I await Sawyer’s story. Some questions get answered and some new questions arise.

I wish I could say more without giving too much away. Just know that it was up to par, enjoyable and completely worth my time.

EMERGE:
So this book actually was better than what I was expecting it to be. I mean love triangles I just freakin' hate them, but in all honesty this book wasn't all that bad with that situation. Evan at first you know I liked him (yes that means he kinda became a weenie as the book progressed) "not a chance, woman. You're the worst driver I know, especially when you're mad, and I'd just as soon get home alive. Hand 'em over." You know Evan isn't a bad guy so don't be thinking that it's just I think he was the perfect boyfriend while they were in high school, and not for college. Laney you know she get's to college meets some new people, makes some new friends, I have to say the one that I love the most would have to be Sawyer, "sorry! But seriously, Laney. Hot girl says she's putting on pajamas, I'm thinking she's gonna show me her secrets, like sweet Victoria. So what are you wearing?" You know being in college and experiences what's a few minor, well okay MAJOR freakouts, "I can't go in there. My room's been taken over by two happy people who remind my heart is bleeding every time they speak. Zach isn't home, you invaded Sawyer's room with your Barbie, and the person who knows me best in the whole wide world apparently lost my number! That or the skank he's banging, which I basically told him was okay, keeps sending me straight to his voicemail." Dane I loved him and in all honesty I think he's the better fit for Laney, "I will never kiss another man's girl..but you're not his, Laney. You're not mine...yet. But you're not his, either. So the way I see it, you're kissable." Sometimes Dane has to tell Laney how things work in a relationship, "baby," I say as I drop a kiss to her forehead, "you can plan our dates, tell me what to wear, run the radio," I wink, "you can even name our kids one day...after Disney characters even. But in the bedroom, the hot tub, against the wall or basically anywhere I have you naked and wet...let me lead." Sometimes a man needs to take the lead and that is what Dane does.

EMBRACE:
Embrace starts off right where Emerge left off and Sawyer I loved that boy and I honestly can't wait for his book, he gives the BEST birthday advice to Laney, "wrap your naked self in a bow and blow his candle out." Dane can read right through Laney and I think that it's a great aspect to have in a relationship, "I mean," he runs his nose the length of mine, blanketing our bodies together, that I don't like it when you lie to me." When a certain tragedy strikes Dane is right there to pick Laney up when she needs it, "come on, baby." Dane bends down and scoops me up I don't know how much later. "You're gonna wait in bed while I run you a hot bath. I got us almost packed; we fly out soon." He carried me to the bed and tucks me in with a kiss to the forehead. "Be right back." Evan he's a good guy and he can get mean when his emotions are high, he was a nice enough character but he wasn't Dane he wasn't my pookie-kin, "Whitley, you don't have to stand beside me just because he's standing beside her. It's not a competition." I know this was supposed to be Whitley and Evan's story but I was more focused on Dane and Laney, especially Laney's naughty ways, "put your hands behind your head," I trace one finger under his boys, back to front, "move them and I stop. Understand?

ENTANGLED:
I loved Dane I really did I mean I loved him in Emerge but I loved him more in this book, "baby, if that's what you really want, go ahead, but it sounds gaudy and juvenile, and you have to think of resale. When it comes time for you to marry me and move into the big house, we'll have to make the room look normal for potential buyers." And he's so playful, "oh, baby," he growls, his feet pounding the floor as he stalks toward me, "are you questioning my manliness?" And Laney she's learning more and more about her man each day, "another interesting fact I learned about Dane after the first time - he wants it all the time. Anytime, anywhere, any way...now that the seal is broken, my man can't be stopped." And Dane he has this bossy way about him just like in Emerge, "just for a sec," he whispers in my ear. "I wanna shower, change, eat and make love to you in that order, and sooner rather than later." Laney that girl does not back down from a challenge, "rising to the challenge, she kisses my abdomen, my hips, and drops my shorts and briefs to my ankles. my di** is rock hard; I think it may actually be leaning towards her mouth on it's own." I want Sawyer to have a book now.

Emerge:

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder" my ass. Not stitching that little pearl of wisdom on a pillow anytime soon. How about "absence makes the head dizzy and fills the heart with aching bewilderment."

Evan and Laney have been best friends for as long as they remember and slowly but surely began to fall for each other. Before they head off to different colleges, Laney gives Evan a clean slate. They are going to be far, meeting new people. Evan is a good looking guy and he's bound to have other girls fawn over him. Just in case there is a problem at least they can say that they were broken up. What Laney wasn't planning was to fall for Dane. Now even must choose which guy to be with.

I enjoyed this book it. Its predictable in so many ways but interesting nonetheless. The characters were enjoyable and relate-able. I liked that the readers got more then one point of view with Evan, Dane and Laney. There was only like one or two twists to this book. I hope to see more from the next book.

Embrace

"You know, when things seem too good to be true, it's usually because they are..."

Evan always known that he wanted to be with Laney but things has change and he has had his heart broken by her. Rather then letting it bring him down with the help of his friends he's trying to see new people.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked that even if things didn't turn out the way he wanted he was still able to be friends with Laney. I liked that in this book I got to see a new side to Whitney and I liked her as a character. I loved how different this book was from the first. I thought that there was going to be more drama but this book was sweet. I was making assumptions about this book, I thought that this book was going to be one of those books were the best friend (Evan) would try to trudge up the bad past of Dane or maybe ruin things for Laney and Dane. And he would be like oh see no one knows you like I do look as this crap and secrets hes keeping. I've seen it happen in many books before. I liked how chill Evan was. I was so happy that he when he found the person for him. Even this book was more towards Evan's story I liked that Dane and Laneys point of views was still going on to show the reader how things are going on for them.

Of all the characters I love Sawyers character the most, and I was so happy to find that the new book coming out which I unfortunately have to wait for so I'll busy my time to read the Novella Entangled.

4.5 stars!

Entangle:

Laney and Danes relationship is back and this time they are in a duplex that Dane has brought them.

I thought it was sweet seeing more from then. It was a unique little read that I found was fun and easy to read. It only took me like a hour to read. It was very enjoyable. 4 of 5 stars!

I have the books, ebooks and now this all in one ebox set. I am so in love with the crew. SE Hall has created a world unlike any other I've read. It's captivating from beginning to end. This series has all the love and drama you need to keep you turning the pages and wanting more.
Every time I see a promo post for any of the book I realize how much I miss them and have to re-read it has to be one of my most visited series ever. I've lost count on how many times I have read them.
While I do love them all Dane and Laney hold a special place in my heart. Dane is absolute perfection.
Each of the couples have great chemistry and a undying love for each other but theirs is really something special.
Here's my overview of the fellas:
Dane - perfect combinations of Alpha male and perfect gentleman. He truly wants to give Laney the world.
Evan- true southern gentleman with a pinch of alpha. He and Whit are a match made in heaven. Whit was born to be a southern belle.
Sawyer - is ALL MAN HEAR ME ROAR. He is crass and sweet. He and Emmette are perfect together she needs the possessive caveman types
Zach- is a sweetheart and I can not wait to learn more about him in Endure.

SE Hall thank you so much for sharing them with us. Writing is a wonderful talent and you have it in spades my dear. Keep them coming and keep captivating us.

An amazing series that you absolutely should be reading! This is the story of Laney and her Crew as they journey through love, life, and college. Each character that SE Hall has given her readers has continued to grow and develop as this story progresses. They are timeless, emotional, and captivating. I can tell you that you will be hard pressed not to have one hell of a book hangover as you read. I certainly did! SE Hall's books are some of my very favorite. Her charm and hilarious wit are at the forefront of her writing skills deeply connecting you to her story while laughing as you read along. The Evolve Series was a reading life changing moment for me. It jump started my love of reading and is one of the reasons I blog today. I can't begin to tell you enough how wonderful this story is and how much I loved these characters. You'll have to see for yourself by one clicking this book, as well as the rest of Hall's amazing stories. You won't regret one penny spent.

This story was well written and i'm sorry to say it kinda left me a little flat. It revolved around a group of people and seemed to be rushing from one storyline with one couple to the other. The characters were nice, warm, friendly, nice nice just too nice. The male characters were just to much of the same, so i couldn't really find anything overly interesting about one or the other to kinda find that click with. I found it difficult to connect to them and this maybe be my own downfall and nothing to do with the author, just to much sweetness made it kinda drag along for me and ended with a lot of loose ends and up in the air. It was a good story about friendship even though a bit of a plodder.

Between the grammar and the inconsistencies between books, I should not like this series. The story itself makes me absolutely love it, though. I have read the entire series at least five times and know I will continue to do so. I can't wait to read more about "The Crew" and hope to see a bit more of Tate, Bennett, and especially Zach.

I loved this box set! My favorite couple had to be Evan and Whitley! They are just too sweet. Its really neat to read a book about a close knit group of friends who are always there for each other I loved it!!

Initially read Feb.9 2014.
Currently re-reading Sep 15/2015 because I needed to read a series I knew I'd LOVE. I'm just as thrilled as I was the first time I read this series. LOVE LOVE LOVE
