Two strangers. One secret encounter. A whole lotta forbidden chemistry.

It was supposed to be an anonymous thrill, fueled by raw desire.
No strings, just the escape we both craved.

The last thing I need is complications, especially from a casual hookup. That was the plan.

Except now, he's not just some guy from a night I can't forget. He's in front of my class...teaching it. Turns out life has some unexpected lessons in store for me, and my professor is holding the syllabus.

Suddenly, what was supposed to be simple is anything but.

Our connection is too intense, and the stakes are way too high—his career, my recovery, our futures.
Every class is a battle against temptation, every glance a spark threatening to ignite.

We know it's reckless, yet the magnetic pull between us is irresistible. I'm not just battling the ghosts of my past but also the fear that everything I've worked so hard to rebuild might crumble.

He has everything to lose, and so do I. But when surrender feels this right, walking away becomes the toughest test of all.

From the author of Want Me comes the fourth new adult college romance in the Extracurricular Activities series.

Neve Wilder lives in the southern U.S., where the summers are hot and the winters are...sometimes cold. She is a mom to three rambunctious weebeasts who have joined forces in a mission to carpet the family home with toys and small items that really suck to step on at six in the morning.

She reads promiscuously, across multiple genres, but her favorite stories always contain an element of romance. Incidentally, this is also what she likes to write. Slow-burners with delicious tension? Yes. Whiplash-inducing page-turners, also yes. Down and dirty scorchers? Yes. And every flavor in between.

Neve isn't keen on being limited to one type of story or a single genre. If you enjoy slow burns and musicians, the Rhythm of Love series might be up your alley.

You'll find high heat, crackling sexual tension, and a variety of angst levels in the new adult Extracurricular Activities series that begins with Want Me.

Like smart-ass antiheroes and super steamy thrill rides? Stay tuned for the upcoming Wages of Sin series, which begins with Bad Habits.

If you need a good cry, Center of Gravity is a standalone age-gap slow burn that examines grief, enduring love, and imperfect characters doing their best (or worst, as it were) in shitty situations.

Neve fervently believes David Bowie was the sexiest musician to ever live, and she's always game to nerd out on anything from music to writing.

And finally, she believes that love conquers all. Except the heat index in July. Nothing can conquer that bastard.

nothing special. i didn't feel any chemistry between the mcs, which made this extra boring at times. none of the couples in this series can beat Eric and Nate.

Tropes: failed one night stand, professor/student, age gap, forbidden/secret relationship
Feels: 2/5
Steam*: 2.5/5
Kinks: some toys, mild daddy kink, glory hole
Angst: medium
HEA: yes
Pairing: MM
Triggers/potential icks/content warnings: religious trauma, internalized homophobia, homophobic parents, drug addiction and recovery

3.5 stars. I probably should have rounded down to three, because the relationship between Cam and Grady is a really key thing and it just wasn't the star of this book. But I just have a lot of fondness for the other characters and for this series, so I'm going to round up.

Cam is 23. In his second year of college, he went wild to deal with his religious guilt at being gay, to deal with the feelings of guilt and disappointment. Got addicted to drugs. He overdosed and almost died. His parents sent him off to rehab and away from college and it did help him get clean. He's been clean for 2 years and he's back at college now. But his parents are not accepting of his sexuality. I keep trying to force him to be involved with their Church and to do drug addiction therapy programs that are religious based, and they aren't supportive of him and want him to change. It's a toxic relationship but he still has hope that they will come around. He's been cut off and he's working very very hard to pay all of his college bills.

Grady is 36. He's bi. He was married to a woman for 9 years but they're divorced now. He's a professor at Cam's college. He's regularly run into Cam at the diner that he works at as a customer. And this semester Cam is taking class with him. Grady is busy climbing the professional ladder. He's writing books and he's got an upcoming publicity tour for when he finishes the book he's working on right now. He needs to keep his nose clean so that scandal doesn't Rock his career.

At a bar, they meet at a glory hole and have an anonymous hookup. Then they come back the next week hoping to find the other again, and they have another anonymous hookup and exchange numbers to arrange repeats. They still haven't seen each other's faces at this point. Eventually, the penny drops about who their hook up is. They are conflicted about whether they should stop or keep going. And after some hesitation, they decide to keep hooking up. But keep it secret and casual. But then they start spending more and more time together and have a good connection and they want to keep it going, but guilt of secrets are what drove Cam to drugs before. For his own mental health it's not good for him to keep secrets. And Grady really can't afford the scandal right now. So they are dealing with some conflict.

This was a medium angst enjoyable story. I really loved the other couples in this series, and I loved the appearances that they made in this book. They're a great supportive friend group and there were lots of little moments of humor that came out of their interactions. The friend group is probably my favorite thing about this book. Which is not the greatest of signs. Another enjoyable thing about this book was that there were some like deep conversations that Cam and Grady had, there were some meaningful thought and idea sharing moments. There was some poignant and relatable insecurities and vulnerabilities that were discussed.

Cam and Grady were enjoyable enough but they didn't really stand out as an epic couple to me. I think their relationship was just lacking a few of the key things that I really appreciate in a romance, so in part it was a me thing. But also I think the author could have made some better choices. The first 60% of the book was very physical only. There was no mention of romance, no thought in their mind of romance. In the next 20% there's a friendship that's kind of added on to the sexual component. But even all the way up until like 85%, I was still not feeling the romance/love between the two of them. They said it themselves at one point at 68% mark, that they were just thinking with their dicks.

They aren't very sentimental about each other until the very end. They're very physical but at the same time it's not a very sensual read. There's a lot of sex on page but it doesn't come off very sensual, it comes off a bit more clinical and physical. There's also a lot of skipping over and just kind of summarizing the passage of time and the passage of their hookups, so there's kind of a distance. Also, I am an absolute sucker for non-sexual touch and couples just being drawn to touch each other platonically, to find comfort in each other, to sleep together and snuggle. And it was a bit of a kick in the face that we never actually saw any of that between Cam and Grady, instead Cam was getting those non-sexual touch and comfort needs met through his friends.

I did respect that they talked a lot. They got to know each other. They had some meaningful conversations and they were mature about the decisions that they made when it came to whether they would reveal their relationship while he was still a student. But even while I was respecting that, I was thinking that it was a little unfortunate that was just one more thing that made their relationship seem a bit too clinical and convenient, and not sentimental enough.

Some notable moments:

"I’m not a superhero or anything, but when I’m around my folks, I always feel like they liked me in disguise better, like if I could keep wearing that costume, everything would be better."

"“Dinner’s ready. Ohhh, a cuddle party? Can I join?” “You’re too big,” Mark protested. It was a futile effort. Sam threw himself across our legs. Jesse wasn’t far behind, nosy as ever. “What’s going on in here?” “Mark and Cam and I are cuddling.” “Bunch of sluts,” he said and then flopped down in front of me. “Is someone sad? Having drama? Why are we cuddling?”"

Ha to the running joke that Cam's mystery man might be Ansel's father. ““Better not be my dad. He’s supposed to be on vacation right now.” Ansel frowned. “It’s not your dad, Ansel.”"

*FYI about steam: I rate steam based on a combination of quality & quantity. I note kink separate from steam because I don't want to underrate steamy reads that don't have much kink.

**Note about spoilers: I like to comment on the plot of a book in reviews, so I almost always mark my reviews as containing spoilers. But I try to avoid spoiling the big dramatic moments! As a reader, I personally like to know what I'm getting into before I read a book so I know more about the content and if it's to my taste/mood, so I try to give that information in my reviews for myself when I'm considering rereading and also for other readers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ it’s not bad AT ALL but I wanted so much more

Struggling to see how this was from the same series that gave us Want Me? Which was so hot and steamy and fun? I know the books got progressively more plot driven and less smut driven, which was sad imho, so this tracks I guess. Teach Me was a very nice, sweet, emotional romance (with spice) but I was expecting so much more.

I like both Cam and Grady a lot tbh. Grady is a v respectful king and I enjoyed that. I liked that Cam was a really strong character. Even though he’s younger he’s not some naive idiot or out there allowing anyone to treat him shitty (I loved his final scene w his parents for this). But I feel they were a little TOO RESPECTFUL ya feel me?

Not to sound like a pervert (I am) but where was the KINK? We literallllllly are given a teacher/student kink on a silver platter and it is played up (very meh-ly might I add) ONCE. The scene basically goes:

“Is this the part where you tell me you’ll do anything for a better grade?”
“I guess so”

🥲🥲🥲

They mention a daddy kink being done IN PASSING. It’s not depicted on page (I’m going insane)!!!! Every single other smut scene is so vanilla it is almost comical. They give handies and blowies and make love the entire book.

Cute, but…

Also, given the title, we didn’t even get an inexperienced/virgin trope! That’s not my favourite personally but I do actually love ‘teach me how’ scenes. But alas, no, there are none of those either.

⚠️⚠️⚠️spoilers⚠️⚠️⚠️

Then there isn’t even any high stakes when it comes to the teacher/student relationship. They don’t really ‘hide’ exactly - they don’t say anything to anyone but this doesn’t seem especially difficult for them. There’s no near misses where they’re almost caught. Grady, highly out of character imo, even hooks up with Cam on campus OUTSIDE (it’s night time but??). When they begin to question things they very amicably hit pause til Cam graduates so that it’s NOT naughty and then live happily ever after.

My inner pervert is sad, guys. The blurb really plays up this forbidden teacher/student dynamic so I just feel like my expectations were through the roof comparatively. It’s not at all bad. It’s actually very nice and the writing is good, even with the typos, but just not what I was expecting.

This felt like a book the author had to write, but didn't necessarily want to. I read it as a palate cleanser after finishing an intensely emotional book, but am thinking that might have been a misstep on my part because all it did was highlight how unemotional this one was. Cam was an endearing character, but nothing about him really stood out. Grady was pretty boring and for some reason I kept giving him a British accent even though he's from DC (I think?). I also had no idea what he looked like. They fell in love, but I'm not sure why because all of their "getting to know you" moments were glossed over. But it was when they had their first kiss and I had to reread it three times in order to confirm they were actually kissing that I knew this was going to be a bust. I really liked the other books in this series, but this one was a miss for me.

I love a good student/professor story and Grady and Cam's story really nailed this trope well. I loved their unexpected meeting and how steamy their chemistry was. Grady and Cam are both trying to find a new sense of direction in their lives and their chance meeting really stirs something new within both of them. Together they embark on a risky and potentially damaging relationship, but as time goes on their connection is hard to ignore.

Overall I loved this story. It was so great seeing Cam's journey and watching him find a new sense of normal after his heartbreaking incident. I loved his relationship with Grady and how they both grew to care for one another so earnestly. This was a great read and I look forward to what comes next!!!!

WORTH THE WAIT!!

Wingtip-wearing uber nerd—professor of complexphilosoyadayadadecisionsomething—goes slumming in a GloryHole and ends up with a mouthful of an EA frat boy hottie?!? Hell yeah that’s the plot. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

And wooh boy does she write clever spice. You never know how these dudes and gonna get down. Age gaps and flipping and faceless, she’s just so original. Grady can school me any day, and Cam is so romantic!! Love his journey.

Signature Neve, it’s so EA, but with a tender brush—writing about the unbalanced teacher-student relationship she’s the best!

I don’t know what trope is named for “we met on line but we already knew each other”, but Neve nails it.

Special shout out for Mark and Cam’s scenes—the development, the love, I needed more.

Teach Me is for the fans, and this book sung to me. The last thirty pages… oof!!! totally manipulated me with hit after hit of all our fave EA hero moments! They’re all there.

The way she handled Cam’s backstory was perfection. No one wants to read about rehab and relapses in EA, I was crying and happy at the same damn time. 🥰

So, this one is tough because I can’t decide if I liked it or it was overshadowed by the things that just didn’t work. I did like both MCs but this read slow for me and I did skim periodically. There were a few things that stuck out that took away from the story.

Here’s the thing - if I really like a book, I don’t get nitpicky. I’m willing to overlook things, unfortunately this wasn’t the case here. There were so many small things that just kept adding up and took away from my enjoyment. I also think too much time passed between this book and book 3. The spark was lost - what made the first 3 books special, just wasn’t here.

How many blow job scenes does a book need? I’d rather have less on bjs and more connection during their sex. The talking about sex but not showing was fine but seemed weird to give us so many detailed bjs. Some of the sex scenes felt like obligations vs Cam and Grady being so intimately connected and insatiable.

The condoms at the glory hole were so distracting. No one is sucking dick with a prophylactic on while indulging at a freaking glory hole. And while safe sex is always important - if one is so concerned about it, they aren’t throating a strangers cock in a club bathroom through a hole in the stalls. Be for real.

The weird daddy kink mention - what the ever loving hell was that? Why bring that up if you’re not capable of actually writing the scene. That was just lame. And they talked about having kinks but there were absolutely none. Which again is fine but if you’re not going to integrate into their relationship, then knock it off.

The link between Paul (TA) and John (Grady’s friend) was forced and stupid. Why not just have Cam see Paul with his counselor? Again, much ado about NOTHING.

Overall this lacked the charm and felt more surface than the other books. I don’t know - I wanted to love this but felt like it just wasn’t as gripping as the other books in the series. I wasn’t super invested in Cam and Grady’s relationship. I suppose I needed more drama, sense of urgency, more emotion around what’s supposed to be a forbidden romance. Felt too safe.

Really loved this- maybe favorite in the series but, that's hard to say. Love professor/student and really liked the way it was done in this book.
Loved seeing all the characters from past books, this series is one of the few I've read more than once and after this book I realize a reread of the entire series in once again in order.

I swear I've dnfd more this year than I have in my whole life, but here we are. Another one bites the dust.

Unfortunately, I felt absolutely ZERO chemistry between these 2. It's a huge bummer bc I've been super excited for Cam's story, but maybe he just had too big of a space to fill after Jesse and Sam. I did think maybe it was a mood thing and left it then came back, but it just hasn't kept me interested enough to keep pushing.

(This would probably have landed around 2.5 if I kept pushing though)

yes, yes and YES.

highly anticipated read for me and it DELIVERED!!!

Cam is so <3 <3 <3. He deserved the absolute world. I was worried this was going to be a predictable read, but Neve went in a less obvious direction for Cam's story which I thought made it all the better. Cam is 2 years sober, a recovering addict, but the story never painted him out to be one moment away from relapse. He was working hard to stay on track, had an excellent support system from his friends, and this book was surprisingly low angst given Cam's past. Cam mentions how he wants to experience all the things he experienced when he was taking pills because he doesn't remember any of it, which truly just made my heart hurt for him.

Grady was a true knight in shining armor (shining loafers??). He was so unbelievably supportive of everything Cam did, and the way he got to know Cam in such a short time that he was able to pinpoint when Cam wasn't acting like himself?? please. the ethical considerations for Grady and Cam's relationship isn't one they took lightly, it's a big point of stress for the two of them and how they should navigate what they're doing moving forward, but ultimately their feelings for one another were just too strong. I loved how both of them were just so impressed by the other. They just had this pure amazement for each others intellect and didn't want to be the reason the other couldn't achieve their goals/dreams. you could tell they genuinely just LIKED each other and I feel like that's something that's not talked about enough in romances. like, yeah the characters may fall in love and there's implied like but getting to actually see the characters just be content in each other's company??? 100 times yes.

all the cameos from the other boys were so good too! nate/eric stay being THAT couple. also mark. omg. mark <3333 his and Cam's relationship made me so happy. i loved their heart to heart at the end and of course platonic cuddle sessions are a must.

reading this has also made me want to reread the previous 3 books and write better reviews for them because i wasn't really about the review life when i first read them, and i feel like it doesnt do them justice because this whole series is so fun and i want everyone to experience this little found family of roomies find love one by one.

*i received an arc and this is my honest review.

3.00 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Welp…this was sadly not the mind-blowing fun I was hoping it to be 🫤 The story follows Cam, 23 yr old student and fellow roommate of Mark, Jesse, Sam, and Ansel (and Chet, Nate, & Eric by extension 😆). Cam, if you remember from Try Me, suffered from addiction issues and brief past “forays” with Chet and Mark. In this story Cam finds himself involved with his 36 yr old professor Grady.

The first half of this book was a lot of fun. The club encounters, the secrecy, the unknowing of who the other was, etc. I thought this was shaping up to be a 4 ⭐️ read, but then the last half came in and was unfortunately a nosedive into dull. Given the secrecy and age-gap, a lot of the fun college livelihood was missing from this book unlike the others. There was also a big portion of telling-not-showing of critical parts of their relationship growth. All of that paired with the instant jump to pet names and feelings made the latter half feel like a jumbled mess. The resolution was also a bit boring if I’m being honest.

Since I’d give the first half a 4 ⭐️ and the last half a 2 ⭐️, I’m just meeting in the middle. I still love this series, even though this wasn’t my favorite of the bunch.

As an aside, I do hope maybe we’ll embark on a new series and maybe one day get Ansel’s story 🤭

I'm so glad Cam got a happy ending

Poor Cameron has really been through it in the previous books, but we've only seen things from an outside perspective.

So I very much appreciated being in his head for this book, especially when you get to see how he's struggled and what set him off on his journey into the drugs in the first place.

The initial meeting between him and Grady is definitely not a 'meet/cute' but it is ridiculously hot. I loved everything about their relationship, from the anonymous moments through to when the bombshell dropped.

I'm also very much in favour of the absolute lack of manufactured dramady in this narrative. Nothing annoys me more than when tension is created simply as a plot point to cause tension.

I really liked Grady too. Although there's an age gap between them, and a technical power imbalance, it never feels like it. They meet intellectually as well as with their sexual chemistry and I never felt like they'd struggle for conversation even after the initial lust fades.

The wat things play our felt pretty believable to me and I'm pretty sure they'll be rock solid for life.

Now, just Ansel to go please?!

This series is so easy to read. Highly recommended. Also some student and professor mischief! Yes please!

This was just as sweet and sexy as the previous books, but. ... I would have loved to see more of Grady and Cam's kinky role play, rather than the usual passionate, but emotional sex they tend to have. To hear glimpses of the role play but not see it just left me wanting more. All so good though. Nice that there wasn't stupid ridiculous drama.

DNF @ 37%. Back on Kindle Unlimited, obviously, and working my way through the list. I liked the first three in this series but this one is just….. full of sentences like “I’d not liked his arrogant attitude.” At first I was like “is this a stab at a ~fancy~ narrative voice for the professor POV” but it’s equally there in the other MC’s sections so I think it’s just wildly bad writing, the end.

Idk if I hadn’t read other books by this author I’d be like “is she not a native English speaker?” Like it’s that type of writing situation, the tenses are just fully wrong sometimes in ways that don’t even make sense as common mistakes. But this wasn’t an issue in anything else I’ve read by her so I really don’t get it. (Like - did someone else write this? Did an AI write this? Or did she just have a reallllly off month.)

GR is acting up again...

Anywho, as I expected half way through, this one is just OK. Somehow, aside from the first book, this series is only getting more bland for me. Guess I've found better stuff in other places since...

I was kinda annoyed by the teacher-student trope. Too many of these in academic settings. I suppose it's a regular fantasy for people, but a little too close to home for me. There's a seedy side to academic politics that I'm reminded of. I also don't care for how this whole thing started - with a glory hole.

Just seedy in general.

3.5 rounded up

I enjoyed this one, but I do wish it had a tighter edit. The dynamic here was right up my alley, and I really liked both of the characters and their chemistry, though the kink aspects felt really shoehorned in. Like, what is the point of mentioning that they've played with Daddy kink if you're not actually going to write it? I also thought it was kind of weird that once they introduced switching, every anal scene after that involved flip-fucking, as if it needed to be perfectly equal, which is sort of odd enough on its own even without the fact that it didn't actually fit the dynamic and preferences established in the first 2/3 of the book. Minor quibble, but because this book was heavier on the smut that the average MM, it also played a bigger role in my enjoyment, and I felt the inconsistencies were distracting. There is also a LOT of cameos from previous couples, which does make sense given the setup of this series, but got a little bit exhausting. I did like this one, but not quite as much as I wished I did given there is a lot here that worked for me. Honestly probably should be rounding down, but ehh, I had fun even with the annoyances.

4.5 rounded up.
Full disclosure this will be filled with spoilers.
Thank you Neve for the ARC! It made me SO damn happy to see it pop up in my email! 🥰

I honestly really loved this series SO damn much and was so excited to see Neve continuing on with it! I also fully enjoyed both characters so much. There wasn’t one acting irrationally here or a 3rd act breakup that wasn’t necessary and was only there for the drama or perhaps for more filler pages. It was spicy, deliciously so, but pretty realistic. Well, you know. As much as a glory hole relationship can be ;)

I loved Cameron and I’m so glad we finally got his story and to see what his addiction was like and what went down to cause it, and how he got out of it and got the help he needed. I liked how he made promises to never tell lies and just be very upfront with his wants and needs, so he would never feel the pull to use again. I really liked how hard this man busted his ass to pay for the schooling he wanted and needed for his chosen career path. I enjoyed his snark and I loved seeing him rebuild his ties that were severed when he OD’d and dropped out previously.

I also really liked Grady as well!
I loved seeing how full his life was; how his one time hookup became a confidant and his divorced wife turned into a friendship where they both were happy to cheer the other on in the things they achieved in life. I liked that they had a healthy friendship in place and there wasn’t a woman who was a villain, which I find happens a lot in MM romance. I liked how he taught with a bit of sass, how engaging he was with his students and really seemed to care about how they did. I honestly wish I had professors like this when I went to college!

Mostly, I liked these two together and how they met in the most… curious of ways, to say the least. But also how they finally realized who the other was and let their chemistry take full hold after having an ADULT conversation. And it DID. These two were fire and I fully loved how they felt safe enough with the other to explore things they never got the chance to try with other partners. I liked how they discussed STD testing, how they discussed fantasies and kinks.
I really just enjoyed how mature these two were and how when the time came down to it, it wasn’t an end, it wasn’t a third act breakup. It was a pause for the moment so neither of our lives that we’ve worked SO hard for, didn’t explode.

It’s a firm HEA don’t get me wrong and the separation isn’t a full one. They talk and text. They acted like mature adults, which I FULLY APPRECIATED.

However. HOWEVER. My ultimate favorite thing? Cameron finally stops his parents from treating him like shit and pressuring him to come back to church. He realizes he’s not the man he wants them to be and stops bending to their calls and stops contacting them or visiting. It was so damn refreshing to read someone finally putting their foot down in the face of blah parents!

So I don’t think any of this is spoilers that aren’t in the blurb, but flagging it just in case:

Look let’s be honest, all the books in this series are SPICY, aka the ratio of spicy scenes per page count is >>>> which is perfect imo for the tone of this series.

But even so, the meticulous way things are detailed: eg. use of condoms for potential stranger-danger oral, upfront discussions of STI testing, totally open communication between Cam & Grady, and general lack of drama, etc. is so well done it’s honestly refreshing to read.

Anyways this story is truly about our fave hopeless romantic Cam (23) who was really going thru it in books 1-3, we find him now busting his butt to try and finish college as close to “on time” as possible after missing a full year due to his drug overdose and time spent in rehab and at home with his (lame) parents (both being plot points in books 2 & 3).

He has been stuck in the love shack house watching all his roommates pair up & find love (except for secretive Ansel), and thus he decides to start dabbling in no strings attached hookups. But alas, love found in a club bathroom might have some strings attached after-all when he finds out his anonymous hookup is non-other than his new professor, Grady (36).

I loved how almost immediately infatuated with each other they both were. Despite being characters that *said* they would normally put up walls and run they both were *heart eyes* for one another. The tenderness & emotions definitely went both ways equally and we love to see it!

I’m already greedy for a bonus story of them a few years in the future…and also literally any details we can get about Ansel 😂

*I received an arc of this book, all opinions are my own*

I’m giving this 5 stars preemptively because one thing about Ms. Neve she’s going to eat every-time and leave us wanting more. The way she just manages to pull you in? The girls are going to feast come 2024!

3.5 - 4 stars!

An emotional and sexy student/teacher romance. Cam has a tough past. He’s been through challenges and climbed his way out of the darkness. The person he has become is honest with himself and others, blunt to the point of it being humorous and endearing, kind, and just an all around decent guy. I really adored Cam and I loved that he never made excuses for himself. He was naturally charismatic and sure of the decisions he was now making.

Grady has worked his butt off to get where he currently is in life but at the expense of his romantic life. He’s the quintessential hot teacher that seems unattainable. When he participates in an anonymous sexual moment with a “stranger,” he realizes just how much he has cut thrills out of his life. I liked Grady but he wasn’t quite as developed as Cam was. I wanted a little more depth to Grady.

Cam and Grady have an incredibly cute relationship as student/teacher and waiter/customer but it’s the relationship they initially build anonymously that I found most compelling. But when everything comes to light, their forbidden relationship may not stand the test of time.

Honestly, I really enjoyed this story. The story was cute, the angst was a little short lived but kept me on the edge of my seat, and their intimate encounters were super hot with a bit of kink. While a little predictable, I found I liked that because Cam was a no bullshit anymore kind of guy so it fit. There were moments I felt like Cam had more chemistry with his roommates than Grady which was a bit of a bummer. I think a couple more scenes of them getting to know each other intimately or maybe removing that separation at the end would have created that element of extra chemistry.

Overall, a passionate and mostly heartwarming MM read between two people that had needs that fit each other. I was definitely a fan of this installment. However, no one will ever beat Nate and Eric. I love those two.

After an anonymous hookup, courtesy of a bathroom stall, in a club, both Cam and Grady are happy for it to remain anonymous.

They both hope that if they are in the same place at the same time, it could happen again, which it does. Grady slips a piece of paper with his number on underneath the door, with instructions to text only.

Grady is Cam’s professor and neither are aware they are each other’s hook up. Cam texts Grady and immediately knows who it is. They discuss it like adults and realise it cannot happen, until they give into it.

Cam has had a drug problem in the past and his parents still treat him like a child. He realises he needs to cut them loose, for him to move on with his life. His parents are very religious and thinks the gay can be reversed.

Grady is so loving and caring towards Cam. They have such chemistry and cannot keep away from each other.

Teach me is an age gap, student/ professor romance. It is the fourth in the Extra Curricular series from Neve Wilder. I have enjoyed the whole series, but this has been my favourite so far. I am hoping that Ansell gets his story too.

“You're much more than that, sweetheart. I hope you know that. You're smart, witty, empathetic, thoughtful, determined , breathtakingly gorgeous…”.

It was alright, but nothing special. I haven't read anything by this author in a very long time, so I don't know if summarization is her thing, but there was a lot of time jump summarization in this book. I'm not a fan of that and my own students aren't allowed to do it because it's weak writing. Show, not tell, please! The book didn't live up to the hype for me.
