Wiccan-Were-Bear #7

A Promise on White Wings

Rate this book
Taken in by a bear den as a child, Danika doesn't know what she is, only that she’s all alone in the world. A visit to a bear den in Northern Ohio brings her face to face with her future in the form of two males who are meant to be her mates. She discovers that she’s not only the destined mate of the falcon Prince Jesuit and the white lion Prince Chance, but also the answer to a prophecy about a white-winged woman. When a bear from her den makes a claim to her, her mates must fight for their right to her and to their future.

Warning: Be prepared for a bear with a bad attitude trying to claim Danika for his own, two princes willing to die for their mate, and the woman who brings them and their people together. Contains m/f/m interaction.

Danika is a shifter, but doesn't know what type of shifter. She was found wandering as a child and then taken in by a bear den. They raised her, took care or her, sheltered and protected her. Now the alpha of the clan wants his son to marry her. His son is cruel and will be a cruel leader, Danika sees this. So even though they are all going to a gathering of the local shifter groups, she tries to avoid him as much as possible. Prince Jesuit and the white lion Prince Chance, are just going to the gathering. Neither expected to find their mate. Neither expected to find that she has 2 mates, two mates from different animal groups. Danika starts to have severe pain during the gathering, in her back. Something is wrong. Jez and Chance see she is in pain. But the two must work out their differences and then sneak the young woman out of the gathering before the bear clan realizes. Then convince Danika that she is in deed their mate. Plus figuring out what she is and how their new situations will work could change the shifter world.

This is a short story, but Ms Butler does not disappoint. Danika is a lost child of sorts. She really doesn't remember much and has been sheltered with the bears. But it is that all encompassing question, what is she? that drives a lot of the story. The connection between the 3 is heartwarming and sweet. Some hotness in there for sure too. The world that R.E creates though is changed with this story. Danika and her children may change shifters lives. Just the joining of the 2 were groups, changes things. I am looking forward to finding out how these shifters change and what happens to these characters. So I truly hope, while exploring other characters in R.E. shifter communities, we get to see more of Danika and her men. I would love to visit with them again. This book is for adults only but contains action, hot sex, danger, fighting, love and everything you could enjoy in a great book.

This ARC was given to me by the author for an honest review..(and well cause i won in a contest...chuckles)

I have to admit that after being without an R.E book for over a month it felt really great having this ARC in my hands...
and truthfully reading the story of Danika and Jes and Chance was amazing.

The book is a fast reading one once you get it in your hands you simply can't put it down..which has the only negative that you end it too soon.
i need more..i want more...

The world building in this book slightly changes but doesn't stop being as amazing as it was as we already knew the dens but now we get the chance to see the inside and the how works of the nest.

In this book we get to see for a lil some characters we already know and love as Elisabeth and Ash and more.

All in all i think once more R.E did once more an amazing job and i am glad to see Jes getting his prophecy and of course the girl.

I hope we get the next book soon...

Again R.e. Butler had me transfixed to a story, I just wish there had been more......I know that will come in the near future though.

Danika, Jes and Chance are perfect together, what a combination of Were's. Falcon, White Lion and what is Danika, something very special apparently... She is part of a prophecy and their children will bring together the Were's and in what a way.

There is action, passion and a love that will tie this unlikely trio for a long time. What will their union bring to the Were's, what will their children be?

I can't wait to read more about them, this is truly a great beginning to a great story.

Anxiously awaiting the continuation of their story.

This is book 7 in the Wicca-Were-Bear series. This story follows Danika, an orphaned late shifter. And her mates,Jes the Were-Falcon king and Chance the Prince of the Were-Lions. Danika hasn't ever shifted so no one knows what she is. She has white wing marks on her back but has never felt the need to shift . Shaylee, the ex Fae tells of a legend where the female doesn't shift for the first time until she mates. This leads the Den to realize she is also the prophecy that was told to Jes two years prior in the Wiccan celebration. There is a great mystery to solve here.

Just finished this book and wished it was a little longer. Although I liked the storyline, I would have liked it to go a little farther. It seemed so many details were excluded about Danika's past. I enjoyed their love story, but the love scenes seemed rushed in. I mean like they were just added to give the chance of reproduction. The prophecy in itself stated that their union would bring greatness, but after the reading from the Wiccans, it seemed not so special. IMO

And another of Elizabeth’s discarded lovers gets his HEA. That is a series on its own as she had so many on the hook at one time in book one.
This time it is Jesuit, the Falcon Prince, who played a more major part in book one than some of the others.
He finds his prophesied mate Danika at the bears den during a party to bring a pride of lions into the Alliance but ends up with a triad mating including Chance, a Lion Prince.
He then has to fight an entitled idiot from her old clan for the right to Danika.
Liked the characters, Chance was so laid back which balanced out Jesuits overworking ethos and the story with Danika’s heritage was so interesting and intriguing but the nastiness shown from her adopted clan was appalling.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!
Danika’s story was so mystical and powerful—it had a real chosen-one energy that made my heart sing. The connection with Jesuit and Chance was fast, intense, and utterly magical. I loved how this one tied into prophecy and gave us more lore about the world. Seeing a woman with no knowledge of her past step into her destiny and be loved fiercely along the way? Yes, yes, yes. And the falcon/lion dynamic? Such a cool combo. The stakes felt high, the love epic, and the ending made me cheer.

Awesome

Love this series of books. Each one is a self-contained story that's very entertaining to read.
This one is about a Falcon prince, a Lion Prince and a white winged Woman.

Amazing

So far I love all these books. I am starting to like how short they are. It's the perfect balance of shortness with enough detail. I cant wait to read the next book.

Danika was found alone when she was little and taken in by a Were-Bear Den. She knows that she is a were of some sort but does not know what she is. When her and her Bear Den go to another Den for a gathering she finds out that the king of her den is going to force her to mate with his son. She also finds her true mates. The Falcon Prince Jesuit and The White Lion Prince Chance.

When Elizabeth chose her mates over Jesuit he almost made a grave mistake but when the witches showed him his future he found that his mate will be a woman with white wings that will bring two were groups together. At a gathering at the local Bear Den he finds his Mate. The fact that he has to share her with Chance does not matter. All that matters is claiming her as their mate and keeping her safe from the one who wants to claim her from her Bear Den.

When Danika mates with Jesuit and Chance and finds out what she is will it truly unite them or will it cause trouble within both were groups?

My Opinion: This book was by far my favorite in the series. What Danika is, is very unique and something I have not heard of before. I like how the local bear den is willing to jump in and help even if it ends their alliance with the other bear den. I loved that there does not seem to be any jealousy between Jesuit and Chance and even though Chance is willing to just stay in the background and let Jesuit and Danika rule, Jesuit will not have any of it. He makes sure Chance is included in everything. Love the intimate scenes. With two men how can you not? I definitely recommend reading. Can be read as a stand alone but you will understand things better if you read the series all the way through from the beginning.

All alone in the world, Danika doesn’t know what she is but a visit to a bear den brings her face to face with her future in this enthralling erotic shifter romance.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot holds readers spellbound with suspense and passion. RE Butler paints her story with well written words that inspire vivid images and capture the imagination while the strong compelling bewitching characters draw the reader deeper into the story.

Danika finds her future with two sexy shifters, Jes a falcon prince and Chance a lion prince, together they ignite super hot passion with frequent white hot sex scenes including m/f/m scenes, but their passion also releases Danika’s inner shifter abilities making this an extra-special mating and to spice it up even more, there is a prophecy related to this fascinating threesome.

There is never a dull moment in this quick and passionate romance and the reader can’t help but get caught up in it as the threesome learn to handle their newfound relationship, the inner dynamics of uniting lions and falcons and deal with Danika’s old den and a jealous suitor. I love this series and I keep going back and forth as to which one is my favorite, so I have decided they will all just have to be, of course I will have to leave room for the future books in the series.

This was a quick read in both a good and bad way. The conflict could have been drawn out instead of feeling almost like a side note. It kept the pace fast though while still inspiring emotional investment. I simply wanted…more: more of the characters, both main and support, and more from the romance (such as seeing “the vision” come true). You can tell this wasn’t the first book in the series, but it doesn’t much matter. I am interested in the others though.

The characters were very compelling. They were fun and down to Earth. As a unit, they complimented each other well. I just wish we could have seen more of their bonding on screen, but that again would have slowed the pace of the book down. I’m hoping to see more of them and explore other characters from their groups (falcons and lions) in future books!

A Promise on White Wings was a short and sweet read with some yummy scenes and an interesting world. Don’t miss this one!

A Promise on White Wings see's The sexy Falcon King Jes finally find his mate in the beautiful & ahh unique danika whom he shares with the equally sexy Lion Prince, Chance.

It has the Same level of spicey romance, protective mates fighting for there woman & wickedness as those that have come before it, but with its own unique paramormal twist & unique relationship.

It was a plesant & light hearted read, & even tho i was hoping for a little bit more seeing as i was waiting almost 2 years for jes's book, i still really enjoyed it & i'd defienyly recommend it for anyone looking for a unquie romantic read.

This was a very lighthearted menage read. You don't learn a lot about the MCs, but it is still an enjoyable read. I really like the world the story is based in. Particularly all the different were breeds. I do wish Butler had spent more time adding details to the falcon nest, however, whenever I read a Butler story, I know I'm going to walk away feeling happy. Sometimes that is what I need. I usually buy her books without even reading the synopsis because I know I'll enjoy them.

It has seemed the past few books though that there is less and less in depth character building. I'm not sure why that is, but I hope she gets back to the kind of stories she used to write.

A Promise on White Wings is R.E. Butlers latest installment in her Wiccan-Were-Bear series. Each book can be read as a stand alone book.

In A Promise on White Wings, not quite human Danika has been raised in a bear den. Always feeling like an outsider, she is happy when she meets two shifters who are her destined mates. I enjoyed this novella. Quick read with an interesting story line and great characters. Also if you have read the other books in the series a couple of characters from previous books are mentioned. I always enjoy catching up with previous characters.

I was so glad to read a new love story from Ohio.

yep I said Ohio. The shifters communities in R E Butler stories are awesome. True most mates are of 2 males to 1 female kind, but loving, loyal, honorable , Sexy males, it could be way worse. I am not big on kink, but it seemed so right. They fought love and commitment in the face of those that could not see. You can't help but cheer their happiness in the end.

Once more R.E. Butler delivers. I loved getting to know Jes more intimately. The introduction of the new Lion Pride was well done. Lion Prince Chance is a total sweetheart. Danika is sweet and very likable. The revelation of her origins was a great surprise. This is a thoroughly enjoyable addition to the Wiccan Were-bear books.

A Promise on White Wings was an enjoyable read, but for me it didn't quite live up to Ms. Butlers' other works. I own all of her books that I have been able to find and I simply love her books, don't get me wrong this one is not bad just not quite as exciting as some of her other books, but it is very entertaining and fun to read!

3 1/2--4 stars. Fast read--maybe too short. I liked the characters and plot, but for me, the story was not long enough to get into too much development, and what little conflict there was was fixed quickly. Writing style was decent, and dialogue flowed well. If you like quick pnr reads, this one is a good choice for you.

When I read this the first time I didnt like it all that well. Second time around I liked it much better. When I re-read my review I was like huh. Needless to say I've changed my mind. Although I'd still like more time these mates should have spent together I still quite enjoyed the story. They were sweet and good characters and sexy.

This is the story of Jesuit's prophecy. The minutes she saw these males with their groups, she knew they were entwined with her in some way. And the moment they saw her they each claimed her. The female shifter in this group is new to me. This is a fun hot entertaining read. Enjoy I did. This is a reread.
